[Q] Can't boot into system or recovery. Stuck at bootloader. - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Problem
I cannot boot into the system, since it bootloops. Neither into recovery, it flashes and tries to boot into system.
I tried installing the Omni 4.4 rom, but it was corrupt and I did not have any other ROM's to flash lying on the sd card.
I have no idea why I can't get into recovery - sometimes I can't even get ADB to work (the device list is empty, even though all the drivers (HTC Sync) is installed)
Status is (from bootloader):
**** Tampered ****
**** Relocked ****

What I've tried:
Running my corresponding RUU, but I get an error saying that it's not for this version?
Installing different Recovery's. (Clockwork, TWRP)
Clearing the fastboot cache. (^All this through ADB)
And well, reading all the older posts about this topic.
I'd appreciate any kind of help, since I consider this to be a softbrick which I cannot seem to fix. :

Are you flashing RUU.exe or RUU.zip?

what is your fastboot getvar all output ?

You should be able to boot into Bootloader,
Power off your device, then press and hold Power and Volume Down until you're in the bootloader menu. Highlight FASTBOOT and press Power. You should see Fastboot USB highlighted in red.
Try flashing a new recovery via
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recoveryofyourchoice.img
After that, start flashing a rom like cm or anything that you use for daily.

sensation xl boot problem

Hello everyone I bought a sensation xl for parts but first I wanted to take it apart to see if I could solve the problem that (maybe it's nonsense) In practice, the phone turns on htc logo appears and after a few seconds turns off and does so on ... I can get into bootloader mode and I have this info:

So far these are the tests I've done:
-since the terminal was already unlocked via fastboot I flashed a recovery (I state that I have tested all: cwm, TWRP ...) but the terminal continued with his start htc logo to restart
- This point I relocked the terminal and flashed a ruu htc original and the only one that worked was the one in the loading ics europe.L 'update proceeded quietly to the end without any problems or error, phone turns off, on again, htc logo and soon goes off and it continues this way forever
- unlocking the bootloader via HTCDev,Flash in fastboot mode a recovery but nothing ... the phone keeps rebooting always
Now if anyone has any suggestions I thank him in advance.

Do you try format each partitions via CWM or TWRP? Not wipe, but format. Format each partition separatly via CWM OR TWRP on mount menu (Format system, Format data, Format cache and Format sd) and then try to flash the phone with stock RUU. Don't forget, you must have a relock bootloader.

I need HELP, HTC One (M7wls) Sprint

Okay, first thing first. (INFO ON PHONE) I have a HTC One (M7wls) Sprint 36GB phone. Phone is ROOTED.
bootloader:
*** TAMPERED ***
*** UNLOCKED ***
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.55.0000
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909
OS-3.05.651.6
eMMC boot 2048MB
What can I access:
Fastboot
ADB Sideload
Recovery - I am using custom recovery - openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-m7wls
Now the problem is:
When I install a ROM. Every ROM that I use didn't fully complete installing. When it boot up, can't access home screen, like i can't even do nothing, If I'm not making any sense what I'm trying, basically I don't have no OS-install. And when I install a ROM and do the ADB sideload and install em I just can't get to the home screen , farthest I can go is the lockscreen, but then that don't even act right, as in either it don't want to slide up (by the way my screen work and digitizer) or its blank/black and I can even slide it up, or as i should say froze for about few sec, AND when i can slide up the lockscreen it goes to the white HTC logo screen and stays there about 45-60sec and Reboot over and over, until i go into either recovery or bootloader and power it down.
ROMs that I've downloaded and install but don't completely works:
- Android_Revolution_HD-One_51.0
- One_4.19.401.8_odexed
- Sprint_HTC_One_1.29.651.10_Stock_Odexed_05.17.13
- Sprint_HTC_One_Stock_Rooted_Odexed_3.05.651.6
- viperROM_One_v1.0.4
What I'm saying is that, for example of What I do to install:
-Boot in Recovery
-Format Data (so i can mount data)
-Erase cache
-Reboot recovery (so the updating partition data can refresh)
-Access ADB Sideload
-Install a ROM (once complete) i reboot the phone
-After all the boot up LOGOs, WHEN I get to the lockscreen it either , 1. don't want to slide up, 2. when do slide up goes to white HTC logo screen get stays about 60sec, then Reboot itself , and 3. Just done want to boot up
Also have Tried RUUs: and Yes I unzip to run the Ruu.exe
- Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_3_04_651_2_RUU.zip
- Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_1.29.651.10_RUU.zip
Also and Yes I re-lock my bootloader to run the RUU , still doesn't happen
I'm not sure which one have this problem, but one of em, Do go through the process and once I get to the part to update Image (I realized my phone image is newer than the RUU image) so i proceed anyways, then it comes to a screen where it say ERROR find the latest Update for RUU. THE second one of em , once i run the program and pop-up screen comes where you accept the terms & conditions, once I do accept it; It closes OUT by itself.
I'VE DONE THE BEST I CAN DO , and I'm very frustrated right now. I've look and look and research, But nothing solve my problem, and I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS LONG ARTICLE/QUESTION. But I'm asking for anyone help who can help me get back this phone back on its feet and I will very appreciate for your help !
P.S. I can't get S-OFF , I want to use my AT&T sim card in it.

I had a similar problem. Turned out to be a firmware issue.
Boot into fastboot and connect to your computer.
run "fastboot getvar all"
See what firmware you are running.
Pull the firmware from post #3 on Bad Boyz thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635051
and run.. the flash is there twice, make sure and do it twice.. it's not a typo.
Fastboot oem rebootRUU
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
Fastboot reboot-bootloader
If you still have trouble, try flashing an older firmware from here..

In my situation, I flashed to 3.05.651.6 and it would boot, but once I connected to the PC and tried to access the storage on the phone, it would reboot the phone.
Flashing to 4.06.651.4 fixed everything.
Look HERE for the 3.05.651.6 RUU or you can go thru the steps to fix your phone.
From now on stay in the Sprint section to find roms

When doing the fastboot commands, it gives me error twice when doing the firmware and YES I renamed it to "firmware.zip"
gives me error message saying "cannot open" and also re-type in command again , same error
hmm.. let me try to duplicate my error later today on one of my test phones and i'll get back to you.
What ROM are you trying to install?

Make sure it's firmware.zip and not firmware.zip.zip
Window hides extentions as least on my machine it does.
So rename it just firmware and see if that helps

That was my mistake, but rename it to "firmware" . now its working. Phone is back up on its feet. lol.
Just want to say thank you for your support and help. Phone is flawless, Thanks you so much again.
HAVE A BLESSED DAY !
I did the same thing by accident. Flashed the old firmware instead of the new by accident and then kept trying to update with the same problems. Since only the first and last digits of the firmware are different and I had them in the same folder I just grabbed the wrong one. All was fixed as with you when I corrected my firmware.

[Q] Soft-bricked, some help, please.

Hello, today I've bought a used HTC One. It's soft bricked (I guess), I don't know what was done with it before, but previous owner said it was running official KitKat, I don't know if that's true.
Phone's bootlooping but I can get into bootloader, fastboot. When I try to access recovery it says entering recovery mode... and then reboots. Same happens if I choose Factory reset from bootloader menu.
I can't get this phone working with ADB. I've installed all drivers a few times. When I connect phone to computer I can hear Windows USB input sound and phone says "FASTBOOT USB" but adb is not detecting it. When I type "adb devices" I get no devices. I guess that's because USB debugging is off and I can't enable it since phone is in bootloop.
What I could do with it?

No, you can't as you are S-ON. You can downgrade only if you are S-OFF.
Please try the following, even if you have tried it and paste your command prompt output.
- Connect the phone in fastboot mode.
- Downlaod stock recovery: http://d-h.st/WJ8
fastboot flash recovery stock_3.62.401.1.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Try to enter recovery, you should see a triangle with android or a red exclamantion mark. Post back if your device can still NOT enter stock recovery
May have to try flashing couple times
Flashed twice, when I choose recovery in bootloader it only reboots and starts bootlooping.
I've uploaded log picture, it's faster than rewriting.

Interesting. You are having the same issue as another user right now. Try this please:
Download http://files.trjlive.com/android/htc/one/firmware/firmware_3.62.401.1.zip
Type: fastboot oem lock (if your device is not relocked yet)
Type: fastboot oem rebootRUU and wait for device to reboot
Type: fastboot flash zip firmware_3.62.401.1.zip and wait for process to complete
Sometimes flashing for the first time doesn't work, so flash firmware.zip again just to make sure.
Type: fastboot flash zip firmware_3.62.401.1.zip and wait for process to complete
Type: fastboot reboot-bootloader
Type: fastboot erase cache
Please select Bootloader and then select recovery to enter stock recovery. Post back your result.
I should flash, firstly reboot bootloader and then erase cache? Because in previous post order was: flash, erase cache, reboot, as far as I know you have to clear cache and then reboot. Or it doesn't matter?
Please follow as written in my instructions.
I've done everything like you said.
Type: fastboot oem lock (if your device is not relocked yet) (Phone rebooted. Then in bootloader it said relocked)
Type: fastboot oem rebootRUU and wait for device to reboot
Type: fastboot flash zip firmware_3.62.401.1.zip and wait for process to complete I got error both times. While flashing first time I renamed "firmware_3.62.401.1.zip" to "firmware.zip" When flashing second time I renamed it back to "firmware_3.62.401.1.zip"
Sometimes flashing for the first time doesn't work, so flash firmware.zip again just to make sure.
Type: fastboot flash zip firmware_3.62.401.1.zip and wait for process to complete
Type: fastboot reboot-bootloader
Type: fastboot erase cache
Now phone is same as it was. No recovery, when I'm trying to access it it just reboots and keeps bootlooping.
Sorry looks like the firmware was not signed., yoru fastboot indicates the failure. Please retry with: http://xda7.androidrevolution.nl/db_mirror/Firmware/HTC/HTC_One/401/3.62.401.1.zip
I checked it is signed.
Now somehow phone does not detect computer when I try plugging in. I mean when I connect it to pc, it's not responding. If i plug it to a wall charger it says Fastboot AC, if i plug it to computer it says only FASTBOOT. Didn't occur before...

I've tried a different computer, restarted mine, nothing changes.
I think phone's charging animation (while off) has changed.
Okay, I got it working.(Haven't tried a port where my mouse is connected)
Flashed firmware like you said, from second try everything went okay.
Tried booting to recovery, still no change. Just bootloops...
damn .. sucks if the official recovery is failing to boot as well. dont have any other suggestions.

Can't I flash a ROM through FASTBOOT?
Or is there any chance to use RUU?
There is no RUU For 3.62.401.1 or higher. As you are S-ON, you can NOT flash the lower version RUU. You should pray for the day someone releases the RUU for 3.62.401.x or higher!
I am intentionally NOT suggesting you to run the 4.19.401.8 as that will most likely not help and if a month later someone releases the 3.62.401.x RUU, you wont be able to run it. Staying at a lowest possible version will help your odds, however small they are right now.

Please Help? HTC One M7 Soft-Brick

Hey there!
So I'm trying to get a HTC One M7 fixed here, and I have a problem. I was updating to Lollipop (stayed on KitKat for a while) then it froze then it rebooted. It had the new logo in the start screen, but it wouldn't boot to the OS at all. I've tried resetting via recovery, doesn't work. Resetting cache doesn't work. ADB + Fastboot with drivers doesn't work. I've tried so many things, like using a toolkit, using ADB + fastboot, going in bootloader and trying adb, nothing works. I'm stuck here. It's a M7 T-Mo variant. I haven't rooted it and it's on stock recovery and the bootloader information is:
*** LOCKED ***
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.57.0000
RADIO-4T.28.3218.04
OpenDsp-v32.120.274.0909
OS-6.10.531.10
eMMC-boot 2048MB

I've tried everything. Please help? I have a new phone already, but I want this to get working so I can at least sell it for some money
i would suggest unlocking the bootloader and installing a custom recovery, like twrp. Then you can restore from a stock backup file (im sure people here have them).
If that doesnt work... well...
Like I said, my PC doesn't recognize my one m7. Even other PCS don't... So I can't unlock the bootloader
go to htc.com/us/support/htc-one-t-mobile/news/
Look carefully at instructions, download file at bottom, run file, follow wizard instructions, should return device to stock.
Will delete data.
I know you said PC doesnt recognize it, but the RUU app should recognise your phone even if the PC doesnt. And if it doesnt, boot into fastboot and try
Hope this helped
