:cyclops:Hello friends of XDA
I recently saw a post on how to install INTETRNET JELLY BEAN (XXLRU) IN GALAXY NOTE N-7000.
My question is: THIS SOFTWARE SAYS BE FOR EUROPE, TO BE MORE SPECIFIC TO COUNTRIES United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Italy Etc. THAT MAY AFFECT ME if you installed it, I AM FROM MEXICO AND MY OPERATOR IS TELCEL?
IN FACT HAVE INSTALLED THE SOFTWARE FROM GERMANY XXLRQ ICS 4.0.4.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND here are the links where I saw him.

There is no JB update available for Note yet, the information in that link is incorrect.
And it's mentioned in the same link that it's 4.0.4
"Select files that you have to flash or install on your phone, files found from the extracted files after download of Android 4.0.4 N7000 XXLRU"
I don't think that software was really jellybean. As far as I know there is no official jelly bean update for N7000 yet. If I was you I wouldn't flash it, go with an unofficial build in android development section. As for language, you can select on boot so shouldn't matter, but I would still stay away from this '4.1.4 leak'
Edit: was beaten to it ^^ as jeetu1981said ^^

thanks for the help
I'll be brave and try it out. YOLO? lol
I'll be brave and try it out guys, backing up my phone as we speak, I'll update you with screenshots if it actually works.
Hopefully this won't brick my phone (I've fixed quite a few bricked phones in the past so I should be alright)

we'll don't say you were not warn.... no matter how techie you are... there are always things that gets out of your hands...
Fail
Didn't get to flash the rom. After the download finished, I extracted file and found out they've got the wrong files for odin..not even the right files for flashing through cwm
True that

Yes, I do understand the consequences, but I just wanted to try it out since no one seemed to have tried it yet and see if the leak is legit. If all else fails I'll just claim insurance for it.
Already such experiment was made with
Odin
CWM
Mobile Odin
Nothing was useful, and this kind of thread already burried 2 days ago.
seems to be an OTA update?
there's none ever official JB release yet. I bet Official JB would come perhaps early next year.. I doubt it'll be primed for this year as there's still too much devices that needs to be upsold and marketed (with official stock JB already, e.g. Note 2). Once the new stocks are being sold in the mainstream... then that will be the time the official JB would be released.
Hi all, posting this on behalf of a mate.
I will quote what he has asked me and if any of you clever lot can answer this I and he would be most grateful.
I bought a Galaxy tab 8.9 from expansys a few months ago & they sent the French version. Firmware & lots of aps were French but most of it was crap anyway.
I've been waiting for the ics firmware update but I'm wondering if it'll just update the file to a French one? Any ideas?
Even better I think there's a jellybean rom for the 7310 which is probably better but I haven't got a clue how to flash it?

It's a P7310 running android 3.2
Any and all help appreciated on this one folks
Cheers in advance.
All the answer is in development section
got the exact same model from expansys with the french rom. updated it to the uk rom no probs n then took the plunge and installed the us version of ics and again it worked no problem so in short flash away
Upgrade to ICS
Thanks to suwandiapr & nirogu325, I could not thank them in development section due to less than 10 posts.
I have upgraded to ICS 4.0.4 of USA (Stock) from HC 3.2 of Switzerland (AUT). I have read about screen issues affecting the people who have upgraded to ICS from HC, especially tab with firmware region of AUT (Switzerland). So I flashed to USA Version of HC 3.2 and then Kies automatcially upgraded to ICS 4.0.4. I am really happy and no problem with screen.:victory:
Hi guys,
I buyed a G Note with this baseband: N7000XXLRK. Looking in the internet, some sites said this is Germany version, is that correct?
And, im from Brazil, i want to install the stock ROM from my country, could someone tell which ROM i should install? (Just link to thread, and i will search it) or i need a 4.1.1-4.1.2 ROM with full Galaxy Note features and Brazilian language.
I looked in the N700 Al stock ROMS but didn't find a compatible one
Thanks :good:

My phone was on LRK but I'm from the UK
Mine was From Italia, i changed to LRK because Germany always gets the updates first (at least for note, or at least the last 3 major updates) and I'm from Venezuela..
I see no point on changing roms to brasil or any south American carrier.. They get the updates months after the official its released...
Tapatalking on my n7000

There is no official jb out yet, we're still waiting. There are leaked source jb roms which are as close to stock as possible like lsa or lsc but they still have bugs.

Btw, official jb is likely to be released soon, like within a month unless Samsung do as they did with ics and run over again, but judging by the leaks, that's doubtful I'd say.

Samsung promised JB to February?
That's good..
They have not promised anything whatsoever.

Hi all, this may be a stupid question to ask, but i'm just a newbie here. I've been wondering what is the differences between these three firmware upgrade for SGSA GT-I9070? Hope that you guys can help me to clear all the differences. What i know is these firmware is upgrade version of SGSA from GB to JB. With all relevant answers, i appreciate it very much  Thank you in advance
I went to the Jelly Bean since December 2012 and now LPY version of any month I JB version, ie LQ4.
What I can say this last version is more stable with kernel Adi Pat, SIRI rc-4, I dont have any lag or FC, battery keeps me around for two days with a few hours of browsing, games, voice calls, without 3G, only WiFi.
Overall I am very satisfied with the current configuration.
Y was the first JB upgrade and then Z was released and now latest most stable build is LQ4. But still you require custom kernels to be lag free. An international official release is awaited this april

So, this mean the first version is a test and they upgrade to XXLPZ. later to LQ4 which mean almost bug free? i would consider to flash this LQ4 firmware but right now still enjoying JetMOD
now i download xxlqb wich is new than other? xxlqb or xxlq4
lqb is newer.
But is it better. I have lots of lag in it even with custom kernel as opposed to lq4

Hi guys could you tell me if qb or q4 run smoothly? ive recently instaled PY, and since then Ive started experiencing program shutting down and freezing every once in a while. Does instaling another kernel improve things?'??

Hi
Optimus rookie time. I have tried to understand from the faq but no one has answered this specifically that I can see. I'm in Australia, I have got an O4X from Kogan. It has arrived and has lots of Asian menu's, I have no idea if Taiwan, China or Singapore perhaps so far. It has lots of apps with 'hama' in the names if that helps. This is what is listed in about phone:
Software version: LG-P880-V10d-OCT-16-2012
Build number: IML74K
Baseband version: L6260_MODEM_SIC_02.1216.01
Kernal: 2.6.39.4
I would like to try JB, I get some people hate it, some say it is ok. If not, back to ICS or CM. Which JB firmware do I go for, the euro version or must I get the right regional version for my phone?? If so, can anyone tell what is is or is all that is important is v10d?
Thanks for any advice
Hi. I also got my 4X from Kogan, so I've been through the issues you've mentioned.
First thing I did was update to 4.1.2. I didn't spend any time with ICS, so I can't comment on differences - I WANTED JB and that was that! :cyclops: To update to 4.1.2, I used the LG update software – info about this procedure is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723
To check which version of the LG software to use, I used this URL: http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=
You need to put your IMEI (from Settings / About phone / Phone identity) in the url after "?esn=", and it returns the URL of the software you should download to update your phone. That told me to use the Taiwan version - I don't know if others (eg Europe) are compatible with our hardware - would be interested to hear!
2nd step was to root the phone (as an Aussie, you need to ignore the obvious sexual joke in that phrase!) – I used the instructions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180688 with some help from the better English at http://www.lg-phones.org/how-to-root-lg-optimus-4x-hd-android-4-1-jelly-bean.html [NB – the comment below this points out some errors].
The next step was to install Titanium Backup and use it to remove all the non-English apps. I had no problems with that step, so whatever they are, they're not critical.
G'day, nice one. Will look into links later. Appreciate the reply
Thinking about this a bit more, if you only want to flash the "official" (Taiwan, in your case) updated firmware for your phone, you can use the LG Update tool "as is". The instructions in my earlier post can be used to flash other versions and a lot of people seem to be using the Euro 20A. I'm out of my depth here though, so hopefully someone else can confirm:
Can any version (ie any country) firmware be flashed onto any 4x?
Ok, all done. Running jelly bean fine. Think it better than ics, using iodak kernel. Thanks for help. If anyone comes across this thread, when flashing to jb using kdz, the 100‰ battery is essential before flashing
