The link in the last post is the rom I was referring to. Most of the ICS rooms can be found on the droidhive forums.
You asked a yes or no question so I gave you a yes or no answer.
I recommend waiting for an official ics if you really want blur so badly.
Or just get an ics theme for your blur rom as you wait it out.

Why not just link to it in the first place or tell him where to find it and save the forum some posts. Just because it was a yes or no question, don't mean your actually helping by only saying yes.

Some people use the xda app, which doesn't have a search button on top. I have barely used a computer to access xda in almost 6 months. On another note, finding things for the bionic is much harder than it is on many other devices. This is my first android which I had to use 4-5 different websites to find all the files I needed. With my previous phones, xda was the first place to look for something, but with the bionic, it seems like xda is the last place you want to check. With some files, it was easier to google bionic root than it was to find it on here.
I've always felt that the rooting community are the embasssadors for Android and unless we are actively developing, we should be more than willing to help others who are having problems. The more we can help them, the less they will have to bother the developers for help. While some questions are based on people being lazy, many of them are based on the user not knowing better. The bionic seems to have a lot of newer android owners which helps explain the repetition of questions. I suggest when offering help, also let the user know of the rules we go by when searching before asking.
The sooner someone can get their phone running nice, the sooner they can go show it off to their friends and help promote the growth of android. I know I used to impress my iPhone friends back when I was new with wifi tether. They couldn't get a signal and needed to use mine. A couple of those people are now on Android.

I agree with everything you said, OTHER then the search functionality. I as well only use the XDA app. But from the home screen if the app, if you click the upper right hand tabs that says "more" it has the search function there. Which would save reposts over and over in all phone forums. It is irritating to read through forums, looking for new things, and reading the same questions over and over.

Vivid lost upstream.support...according to synergy, didn't know what he meant when he originally said that bit I tried compiling again to.find out that the latest updates to cyanogenmods source have made it so that you get a bunch of errors when compiling...when.AMD.if I ever get free time ill try and compile again...nbut I'm in highschool still, school.comes first and I'm already supporting slim bean for the Samsung infuse...so I'm pretty busy

Also that doesn't really say much...just says the directory the fix is located there can be many files (possibly over 100...) So just a directory isn't much help
But thanks for this info anyways like I said if I ever get time ill Gove it a try (unless someone beats me to it ...I have a mini guide on how to compile cm10 for the vivid in the cm10 development thread in the general section...back when you could still compile it, feel free to follow it bit I won't be able to provide much support...like I said I'm busy)

I'm working on a cm10 build right now, so far been able to fix the couple errors that have been thrown at me...only one that required assistance from more skilled people...but its going
Update...still working on this...stuck on an error...asking some experts for suggestions...but the build is almost finished...just gotta fix this error and hopefully that's it...

Anyway a...if you want I can get you a link in a little..its very buggy...not sure if flashing gapps will help
As of now its completely missing the camera app...strange? Texting works, but calling doesn't...at least for att..can't say for other carriers...and the home button isn't working

Yeah, basically its aosp with cool features and mods added...so everything stock is removed
BTW, tomorrow my plan is to do some major debugging...see if I can pin point some problems like data and home button and calls but for now I go to bed...gotta wake up in 6 hours for school :/

Alright...trying some new things...let's see if they help the vivid, OK basically I'm using the msm common file (basically similar HTC devices all use this...) any ways I noticed they had there own modified version and I noticed they had done some edits to fix camera for them...so I'm gonna use there msm common tree...another thing I'm using the qcom audio, they did some edits to get audio working...(both the trees mentioned are from the sensations working cm10 build)
If anything improves then I'll keep them, if things improve and break other stuff I'll go back, and then manually change the files I think need to be changed

Hey i know this is a dead issue i was reading the other thread that got closed and it had a download link. Was that for our phones or the new s4? I only ask cuz i seen you in there. Theres a download link for the source code for the kernel only. So unless you know how to compile source its not worth much to the regular user. So don't download or flash it. We will have to wait for a update to come out for Roms to be built.

Why do people ASSUME that someone didn't search first? I mean, do YOU always get a hit when you do a search no matter what? Do YOU never construct a query that makes perfect sense to you but which doesn't net results? I know I don't always get it right and I'm sure that's true of everyone.
I mean, I agree, it's hard to imagine doing so in this particular case, but regardless, we can argue about whether it's a big deal to break this rule 'til we're blue in the face (it's a rule, so breaking it matters, but OTOH is it really THAT big a deal?) but that aside, the ASSUMPTION that someone in fact didn't do a search seems a bit unfair, no? Keep in mind that angross was trying to be helpful... that's what we WANT of a community, isn't it? That tends to stop when people feel they got slapped last time for trying to be helpful.
How about simply: "Hey, friendly reminder in case you didn't: please search first so we can avoid double posts"... gets the same point across without sounding like you're being heavy, right?

I'm not going to comment on all that dev drama crap. It sucked. I'm over it. Anyways KR is still kick ass for me and so I'm staying. I'm kitkat spolied. We can't get any AOKP or cynagenmod so this is the tip of it. The sad thing is that a talented dev screwed us and himself on the donation front. Damn I said I wouldn't go there......my bad.

I plan on staying with KitKat even though my favorite rom is gone. Not sure what to think about the situation but I guess my phone will continue to run KR5.6 until I find something better. I think it is unlikely that Note 3 users will get anything better than what we saw with that particular dev even though it was a pretty shady situation.

Unfortunately seems like Drakey was porting all the ATT roms over and Dev them so looks like were at a standstill with roms unless someone else comes forward and can dev.
What a shame the whole thing...

I'm still using KR for now until a better KitKat ROM is out. I wasn't experiencing any issues except a messaging fc when using the pen to show a preview. I was able to fix this by flashing another ROM and using titanium backup to backup messages and flash back to KR then do a restore in titanium. So I guess I'm staying for now.

i wasnt tryna troll but dev section is reserved for roms not what is coming.. thats general section until the dev makes rom available and posts in dev thread.. but hey, im no moderator lol just tryna let him know it coulda been posted elsewhere.. either way i hope this rom also gets made for vzw s5.. with this and other flavors would b great.. i love a selection lol

My ultimate goal here is this ends up being a Unified build. Not sure how it is with the s5, but verizon in the past has always went out of their way to make their phones different

lmao yes they have.. im sure the basic stuff is the same but i believe some apks are modified since flashing other s5 variants usually breaks stuff :-/

flashing some intl or g900f roms or tmo roms breaks some network features like data or sms.. it can be patched with a bit of modifications and replacing some files.. im just not good with porting stuff lol.

I've run a couple of variants on my AT&T S5, to my knowledge the only thing that needs to happen is the APN needs to be set up, once i set the APN everything worked fine data, wifi, hotspot, sms/mms internet. I had no issues.

Definitely can't wait for this. Stock rooted feels so sluggish. I do have a request though, possible to get stock dark keyboard? Please and thank you!

I should have it up by the weekend. Dark keyboard is no problem.
I am going to release on stock theme. If it's well received I will commit to the project and port my GPE theme over from the note 3.
Its looking good so far
