[ROOT] Emoji + Unicode support

Emoji+Unicode support on your Mini! ​
People use Unicode and emoji on many online games and chat apps. Usually they come up as boxes (squares) on our devices.
So this thread is for people who want to enable Emoji+Unicode support on their devices.
NOTE:
This file hasn't created by me, I am just posting it here for people who don't like to mess up with google much.
I'm not responsible if you harm your device while flashing.

Download the font file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/23621508/Kal's No More Boxes/13.9MB File/DroidSansFallback.ttf
Now replace the font file in System>Fonts using Root Explorer or some other app which lets you customize system files.
Now reboot your phone.
You're done! Try it by downloading apps like "Happychar" or "Emoji Keyboard" which lets you enter Unicode characters.
Note: Emoji characters will be black&white.

No need to use ADB. Just put that file on your SD card, then replace it with the one in system>fonts. Then reboot.

[Q] App Killer?

Xtreme6.2 supported Appkill when you hold down the menu button, however its not supported in 7.0.
Is there any Mod that i can use to activate App killer again?

reinstall the rom, it solved my problem. btw 7.0 is way more better than 6.2

yup just reinstall it has no problem to me. but if you need other language, you need to flash separately, i hope it will be added on the next version.
everything else is great!

if restall doesnt work try another app killer. in the market are plenty of them

Just a Thought.... Hmm Music control??

So I was in my bed listening to Power trip... so the song got me depressed and as I was wearing my earphones I looked back and felt lazy to open the phone and change the song. ...
Then I rememberd to myself... hmm on Cyanogen mod all I have to do is press the volume button for 2 sec and it goes to the next song. ...
I'm using the 4.1.2 Touch wiz original Samsung rom so is it possible to Put this function???

Install Xposed framework, then install xposed! tweakbox. (you must be rooted)
the go to miscellaneous and check the "skip tracks with volume keys" box.

Assuming that you are rooted and have some knowledge about modifying android files (.apks), just click (or tap) on this link and checkout the Third modding guide there.. its "How to use Volume Rocker to Skip Sound Track"
One more thing, modifying it looks like no easy job, be sure to follow all the instructions correctly... :good:

Some third party music app can do that (ie: player pro). But you have to buy the app though. :good:

Simply use headset button controller .apk

First time read about Xposed framework, going to give it a try.

I don't know but the skipping with the vol button option on tweakbox, is not working for me
I'm using lqg 4.1 from Samsung

Get xposed additions app. You'll need the xposed framework first but then you can remap any button.

[Q] Smart call handling from Z2 smartphone apk

hello frnds today i saw and install smartphone.apk which is like same as smart call handling fetures so my only question is that is this same as z2 Smart call handling ?
its working well please share ur opinion if any one using it

I didn't know we have that app on market...
So, yeah , basically it's same thing but it's not working every time.
Sometimes app can't activate and nothing happens but when it's working it's working great...
Tnx for sharing...
One idea, maybe to try to add all libraries from smar calling (Z2) and use them eith this app, that could maybe fix those issues...

but as of now all functions working great i try still now with 10-15 calls lets hope if any bugs will fix here so thanks again

For me almost every other call won't work...
So , it's 50% successful
I don't get toast msg "activated" and it doesn't work.
But as soon as I repeat call from other devico - it's working...
That's something developer explained on market (app info).

Thanks for sharing this as funky also said the other Z2 smart call handling port doesn't work the whole time I'll try this out and revert on results

There's aslo one nice app from same devekopers - "smart screen" and "motion actions" so you could check that too...

Hi Funky,
alright this app works flawlessly I also tried the other apps from the same developer they work just fine
Do you have any idea how can I remove the gestures one that we installed from the Z2 port? I flashed it from recovery but I don't know how to remove it. Because this app is much better than that one

Why?
I flash those lib and apk files after I installed this app from market.
It can only be advantage to have those files
If you have app smart calling just uninstall it.
If you still want to "uninstall" all files you've flashed.
Open that zip file on PC (or on phone but it's easier to compare when you open it on other device/PC)
And you'll see what files you should delete.
Delete them and that's all

So you're saying that the files from the flashable smart call handling Z2 port will help this app from the google play store? if I remove them the app we both installed from google play store won't work?
I would like to remove it because anyway it's not working the whole time and I don't like extra files on my device lol

Smart phone is on market and ported app from Z2 is in themes and apps section or in cros section, can't remember...
