Hello
I am wondering if its possible (and if so, if it works!) to flash a generic firmware on a Bell branded device (customization number 6616).
Thanks!
its possible to put a unbranded rom on a carrier branded xperia phone , without root i think it gets a little messy but it is possible... with root it should be easier
I'm looking for a workable reverse solution. I have an unlockable 6603. Can I flash 6606/6616 radio baseband and get LTE coverage on T-Mobile or AT&T when in the US?

Hi all
I could have a T-Mobile branded Galaxy S. Is it possible to just replace it with the original unbranded firmware from samsung?
Cheers

In short: yes
The only thing you need to look out for is the sim-lock. Unlock your phone before you try and you should be fine. I had a 3 UK branded phone and flashed the generic firmware without any problems.
P.s. use search
Thank you I used search but specificly on T-Mobile which was probably stoopid. The seller claims that it doesn't have a simlock so I think I will go for that
Hi all, I've read that T-mobile Tab users are able to flash their tabs to the European firmware to enable the phone function? Has anyone flashed an asian firmware to be able to get the phone function too? Will it brick the T-mobile Tab upon flashing the Asian firmware on it? I guess its possible since the Asian firmware supports the 2100 band and you'll be able to get 3G out of it?
I guess the 3G will work if you are using the T-Mobile Tab flashed to an Asian firmware with a foreign sim and you are not in the US.
I am aware that each region and sometimes carrier has its own branded (or unbranded) FTF. I assume regions will have different APNs, and maybe carriers too, but I don't know what the differences are between generic regional images and carrier regional images are. Can someone provide specific detail as to what the carrier can or will change?
I have a C6906 in the US, so the closest FTFs I'm getting are from Canada. The only 534 FTF I've found is Rogers branded and I'd like to understand what the Rogers branding will actually do to me.

The FTF come with all the Rogers bloatware crap exc...You can use it and after flash it, root you phone and uninstall all what you don't need. FTF from Rogers will not lock your sim or anything. Your phone will still the same as before and you will can always go back to stock.
Hi there,
I am looking to flash 14.4.A.0.157 on my stock (not rooted, stock everything) Rogers C6906, but the only available option right now is the US Generic FTF from the FTF megathread. Now, I'm sure this will flash successfully since the hardware is the same, but will this affect my ability to receive OTA updates from Rogers? Lollipop is due in a few months and I still want to be able to get that.
Basically, what are the risks (if any) of flashing this generic FTF on my Canadian C6906, and can I revert back to the stock Rogers firmware if needed?
Hi, I am needing a Pre-rooted 5.0 firmware for the UK, I tried another firmware, but because I get 4G and not LTE the 4G carrier signal won't work. My phone is a C6903
Not Needed no more, new to this whole to this Rooting/Flashing. Was able to pre-root o2 UK 5.0 rom myself and flash it, it was risky as it was the first time, but found it rather easy.
