Does anyone know of a kernal that includes the quick unlock feature? (lock screen unlocks as soon as the correct password is entered)
That is not a kernel feature. Some ROMs support it or you can use gravity box, that enables it.
Thanks, I'll give that a try.

There is an option for that in sense 5 toolbox.

Hey guys, I've had my HTC one for a week now and loving it, and decided to install the TrickDroid ROM, which I equally think is amazing (and may even deter me from the need to flash any AOSP based future ROMS), however after flashing the AOSP lockscreen whenever I receive a phone call, I have to unlock first!
Is there anything that can be done about this as it's my only gripe with the ROM.
Cheers!
Bump.
I also do not like the lockscreen. I tried installing using the HTClockscreen.apk from the ROM but it won't let me do it. I want the stock lock screen back. Yes, I agreed about doing two steps just to answer a phone. Unlock, then press answer. Please help.

I also try to change the lock in "setting, personalize" and still doesn't change anything. Still have the ring unlock style lock screen.
Same here!!

I'm also having the same issue with Trickdroid v5.5.1. Incoming calls don't display unless you unlock the screen. When additional security is enabled (e.g. PIN unlock), you need to then unlock and enter the PIN before a call can be taken! Love AOSP lockscreen, but this is V.annoying!

You have to re flash the rom and change the setting back to stock via aroma.

Can you explain where in Aroma do I change this setting? Is it via the tweak flash?

It's one of the first couple options available I believe. It asks if you want the aosp lockscreen or htc lockscreen. Choose htc.
Do I have to set up everything again when I re-flash it or does it stay the same? Apps etc.?
Hi guys
I'm probably not the only one that has some remarks with the vibration of the HTC One.
When I am on the lowest volume setting, other people can hear my phone vibrate out of my pocket.
It's even more horrible that I can only head the vibration instead of the noticiation sound when I recieve a text.
Does anybody have a solution to fix this issue or do I have to live with it?

You need a custom kernel like Elementalx, Faux with the support at this mod and the Faux app for edit the density of the vibration
And I guess I'll lose all the data when installing a custom kernel?

You won't lose anything if your phone is already modded.
If it isn't already modded you will lose data unlocking the bootloader.
Well, my phone has an unlocked bootloader + root access.
So that means that I can freely change the kernel without any consequences?

Yup, you can flash any kernel compatible with your android version and phone version
Phone version, how do you mean?
Is that just the HTC One (as phone version) or the UL/Sprint/ATT version?

For example, don't flash a Sprint kernel on a GSM phone
Allright, awesome!
Guess I'll be flashing kernels today

Good luck
I just flashed the ElementalX kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249774)
But apparantly, the vibration didn't reduce (or I coudn't find an option to do it).
Is that kernel able to modify the intensity?

I remeber that i edited it with Faux app.
You can try with it.
I can't seem to find a kernel for the 4.3 Sense version.
Is it just me over doesn't it exist?

Nevermind, guess I found it

***Easier method*** ***NO ROOT***
If you want to get rid of vibration completely, but without putting your phone on silent, just use App Ops! You need something to launch the activity, there are App-ops launchers in Play Store or you could just use a Tasker task. Once you're in, just go through all your apps and untick the "Vibration" permission!
No root required!!!
<<< Please say thanks if I was of help!

Thanks very much.ddnt saw that option....:silly:
After enabling screen pattern lock go to cynogenmod settings>lockscreen>unlock screen>mark skip on security option to avoid other type of screen lock (ring, slide tab, rotary etc).
And cm7 is best rom for x8(fast n stable)

Maybe I am blind or missing something. How do I disable the screen waking when I unplug the power from a charger?

Even with edits to configuration files? How do the custom roms disable it? Is there a file I can replace? Is it a custom kernel option or a specific other component of the roms?

It's a option in that particular custom rom.
And no, this has nothing to do with the kernel.

I think it requires Kernal to be Modded to support that.
First We need "tap to unlock "
2.Then we can easily implant the code for Knock Code.
There's an Xposed module for that. You can search and install it.
But the Framework is not yet stable for 5.1 based ROMs.
Maybe CM doesn't want to implement Knock Code in the ROM.
