Hello,
After the OTA update, my Vivid doesn't want to turn on at all. When I connect it to USB I get QHSUSB_DLOAD and nothing happens.
Any ideas ? Thank you !
Your phone is done. There is no way to fix the problem beside getting a new phone.

I wouldn't say that. Since the chipset could be written, it is not completely dead. Sensation users have already found a fix for this, but it is a different chipset.
We don't have the files needed to recover. Either you need to get it replaced under warranty or insurance.

Which OTA update? As far as I know AT&T and Telstra are the only two carriers to have released their ICS update OTA. If you're actually on Voda in Romania I don't know what would have possessed you to try installing one of those two OTAs.
..
The phone is from AT&T. It didn't have any sim card in it when I got the update.

yeah man theres no way sorry. at least for now.
to be honest, ur best bet is to call htc service and warranty and see if you can ship it to them
http://www.htc.com/us/support/service-and-repair
i've sent them many phones for repairs under warranty, and all but 1 didn't get fixed for free
Does it vibrate if your try to do the bootloader combo?
No. It doesn't react at any keypress.

Serious Help Needed
Hello everyone. Sorry to even waste your time, but I am in need of help with my HTC Vivid. I am on an unrooted, locked bootloader, and I have been trying to upgrade to the newest ICS OTA update that I missed with the dialer code.
I have downloaded the PH39IMG.zip, and it updated my HBoot to 1.85.0024. This is where I am stuck. The phone will only show HTC on startup, and then goes black. Again I am on an unrooted HTC Vivid. Any help would be hugly appreciated. Please help out a simpleton.
Thanks for your time.
Unlock the bootloader in fastboot.
Flash recovery in fastboot
Flash boot in fastboot
Flash Rom of your choice

Did you run the PH39IMG file twice? it needs to run the file twice to complete updating the HBOOT. In any case, and this goes for all who are not very familiar with Vivid flashing, USE THE RUU!
In your current state, try to boot into bootloader (you probably already know the process, but it is power + vol down from power off state) Once you have booted into bootloader, you can proceed and upgrade to stock ICS. If you decided to run custom roms after, it is easy and much much less likely to brick your phone.
Hallelujah
Thanks so much guys. Those were helpful tips, and I have ICS running now. Thanks again. Have a good one.
Hey Community!!
So i have been rooted/romed for a little while on my HTC Desire C for a while, but i saw it was time to update nameless ROM.
I installed the ROM but got wifi issues so i knew instantly that the kernel was incorrect for the ROM so i proceeded to try to install.
Anyways went to install HTC Sync and the drivers didnt install, i cant use any ADB commands that link with my phone such as reboot-bootloader and fastboot commands.
Any ideas guys i asked HTC and they sent me a PDF which didnt work got same errors as before.. HELP!!!
Thanks in advance!!!!
Hi had this problem with mine HTC sync is useless lol You'll need to download the USB drivers from the android SDK then force install them in device manager.Just go to device manager update driver then direct it to where you downloaded them. You'll need to do it 3 times for debug, bootloader and fastboot.

I tried installing via Device Manager, my updater cannot find the drivers for it, my PC thinks its Android 1.0 lol
When you click update click let me choose from a list of devices instead and you should see android listed click it. If not go to have disk and point to the drivers and three drivers should show up install the one for the mode your in. Windows will prob warn you about it not being for your device but just ok it and it should work.

I bricked my phone recently (stepped on the USB wire while flashing RUU, thus unplugging USB) and I try to use dexter93's unbricking project. Here's the link:
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1627886&nocache=1
. So, I do everything it says, yet when I type "./brickdetect.sh" in the terminal, it tells me that the device cannot be found. The SD Card, the SIM card and the battery are all out. HELP!
Can you get to bootloader? Does it get recognized in fastboot?
HTC Vivid with Sense 4+ ICS 4.0.4
My phone doesn't respond to anything. Can't get into bootloader, can't charge. But when plugged into my laptop, it always says '' Installing drivers: QHSUSB_DLOAD''. Does that help?

....sorry but I'm 99.9 it's a brick, if adb nor fastboot can read it, more than likely cut you're losses and see about finding another vivid online or so, development had picked back up again so it will be worth it!
HTC Vivid with Sense 4+ ICS 4.0.4
Thanks for everything, but if you read dexter93's thread, it says I can, but I just gotta find the problem.

So I accidentally deleted everything on my phone (including all the backups on TWRP) because I'm a dumbass. It says I have 'no os installed', so I'm currently trying to adb push a Rom or Stock RUU into my phone, but I can't because my pc isn't reading the HTC Drivers.
When I turn on my phone, I'm stuck in the HTC boot logo. I can still access the bootloader/recovery, though. So basically, I'm stuck and I don't know what else to do to save my phone :/
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. :good:
I'm pretty sure I've seen a couple similar posts...try searching all the Sprint HTC One forums
..maybe this will help... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2257338

You HAVE to find drivers that work for your computer. Once you can get adb working you have to adb push the Rom to to the sdcard directory and flash regularly.
Obviously back up...again.
Or, second option is to download to RUU. I'm pretty sure that would work... Don't you probably want a second opinion on that one.

I would put the phone in fastboot mode make sure your conected to the internet and your computer should automatically start looking for the latest drivers and install them...once that step is complete i would download a rom and try installing again...hope this was helpfull
Hi im trying to get stock rom back on my One but im stuck on recovery mode. The phone itself is fkd up cause I had a little too much experimental phone but bottom line is i can't use the phone itself only go into my BOOTLOADER and Recovery Mode. The thing is i want to be able to flash the stock RUU (have the file already). I think i can figure out how to do that but steps and tips would be nice. But! I cant even get to that. From what i understand to be able to put the RUU on the phone it need to be recognized on your computer. My HTC One won't be recognized on the computer. Any idea why or how to fix it?

Uninstall any 3rd party software such as PDAnet that would install their own drivers. Unplug your device. Install the HTC drivers by installing HTC Sync and allowing it to install the drivers. After installing that garbage program, load it up and uncheck the option to launch whenever an htc device is connected. That will help prevent running into issues later.
hello, thanks for that thread.
i have the same problem and i have all the drivers
so any help

If still having problems.. uninstall all of HTC from Windows and turn off and on PC then reinstall HTC sync.. Then uninstall just HTC sync.. Leave all other HTC programs installed.
