[Q] HTC unlock question - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

If got my HTC one unlocked I am runnig ARHD revolution.
My friend also has an HTC ONE and also wants to unlock it.
The only differents is that my HTC has CID: HTC_001 and was running stock version *.**.401.*
my friends has CID from O2, so his stock version isn't *.**.401.*
Is it possible to flash a custom rom that is based on *.**.401.* on an unlocked htc one witch other version? Or would he have to go S-off for this.

Yes, that's fine. He won't be able to flash a 401 firmware, but any ROM can be flashed with unlocked bootloader.

[Q] HTC One Unlocked S-Off T-Mobile Radio Help

Hi, I have a 32 gb htc one unlocked.
I was wondering, now that we have S-Off,
would it be possible to flash a T-mobile RUU to get 1700mhz?
Thanks!

[Q] About CID and S-OFF situation?

Hi guys, I have T-Mobile version. So, I have unlocked, S-OFF, changed to CID to 111111 and installed custom recovery. So now, am I able to have official firmware and software updates from T-Mobile or should I install Developer RUU from HTC. If I want to install Developer Edition RUU, which one should I choose? I have checked HTC website and I am lost .
Thank you!

[Q] Question regarding repairs...

Ok so I bought my phone from O2 so it was completely stock and CID was O2___001. I s-off'd using rumrunner, then downgraded my hboot to stock 1.44 and ran revone to remove tampered and 're lock boot loader. I changed my CID to HTC__032 and flashed a RUU to subsequently update to sense 5.5 and the latest firmware. The hboot has not been flashed with a modified version as I didn't get the red text after downgrading and then running revone and RUU
My question is if I send my phone into HTC for repairs in the future should I keep the phone as is or try and revert to stock O2? The phone is now purely stock and unbranded. I prefer HTC repair to O2 anyway. The bootloader reads locked and it's s-off
Thanks!
Anyone ? Better to stay unbranded and full stock or carrier branded full stock for repairs? Can HTC know my phone was carrier branded originally?

Unlocking HTC One M7

Hello,
I've currently got a HTC One M7 locked to Vodafone UK network. I'm wondering how I can get rid of the awful splash screen? Or getting it to a unlocked HTC One (carrier free) state. If I change my CID to SuperCID what unlocked ROM do I need? Also if I wanted to go back to the Vodafone OTA, what ROM/RUU do I need to flash?
It's so confusing!!

To SIM unlock you can by a unlock code from eBay for like £2.50
If you want to remove the carrier branding you will need to unlock the bootloader and flash a Custom Rom.
If you want to convert the device completely to HTC Unbranded you will need to be unlocked and s-off.

Rom compatibility with original GPE

Ok so, I just unlocked the bootloader and rooted my HTC one M7 GPE (original, not converted). It's still S-ON but I think I can still flash roms right? I want to get the ARHD rom but I don't know if it's only for standard M7s or if it will work with my GPE M7...
Thanks in advance
