And this?
Did you clean the lens? Do you have back cover protector? To me they are dirty or have a plastic on lens. Same pictures I did when a had a original protector from the box.

This is "Pincushion Distortion" and it is most often associated with telephoto lenses, and in particular, zoom telephotos.
It is something related to small sensor size and wide angle of the camera ?!

So if you still have bad pictures this is some kind of issue with you phone. Do you see any improvements if you switch from Automatic to Manual?

So maybe I have a setting wrong or this is just how the phone is, but every photo I've taken so far has looks very pixelated. It looks great on the phone screen but as soon as I upload it to facebook it looks like junk.
Any ideas?
Facebook and many other places online to share pics reduce the size of pics quite a bit. I'd blame fb rather than the phone.
You could also check settings in camera to see if it's set to a lower megapixel than the 4mp maximum just to be sure.
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Well it should be pixelated because 1) dark areas on many camera shot have noise and 2) ultra pixels are larger than normal so on this cam we get decent day shots and awesome night shot.

I don't know if this is the problem or not, but here's my input (I'm a photographer):
There isn't any zoom on the camera lens, so when you "zoom," all you're effectively doing is cropping. The One doesn't resize the image, so it could create a pretty small image if you're zoomed in.
The other possibility (unless you're absolutely positive that the problem is pixelation) is that with the auto ISO setting, it might look grainy, especially in the dark. You can manually choose lower ISO, and yield a clearer (but darker) image.
Or, as the others have said, different apps may be the culprit. Have you tried loading the image directly from your phone to your computer?

Wow... Some of the suggestions on here are funny. It has nothing to do with the camera. It's an amazing camera and I post to facebook from it all the time. What you are experiencing is entirely on mobile data. I work at a repair center and we see this nearly every day. Because of all the changes sprints going through this year it's causing issues with photos uploaded and viewed online and primarily through apps. If you are using WiFi to upload to facebook and then viewing facebook on the same WiFi immediately after and are still experiencing this issue them check your router or reset it. If this continues then have your phone replaced. It's not handling u/d data properly.
Again.. this is not your camera. I have discussed this with several people here and through my job and it has been proven time and time again it's the network not the phone. In most cases and in some(rare) it's the phone itself and a simple replacement fixes the issue

The camera would be better if it had manual focus. The tap to focus is crap and AF is non existent.

Those pictures are good, but not because of the camera... it's the scenery. However these pictures further prove my point. Look at those pictures and notice the blurry/hazy effect of everything not in the center on the picture. Look at the picture of the Red rocks... the whole right side looks like crap. Had these pictures been taken with my S3 the entire picture would be crisp.
https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/...5879103770744579522&oid=114157047189530288078 is another good example. I can understand the background being way out of focus, but there's no excuse for the right side of the picture.

There have been some cameras on the one with hardware problems that affect focus. One side or the other would be blurry. It's not how the camera is intended. But also keep in mind that the low f-stop this camera uses causes a shallow depth of field, which gives a blurred background or foreground effect. This is often an artsy look. It's a low f-stop to also let more light in.
By the way, the pic you linked to was one of mine and that blurred effect was what I was going for with the shallow depth of field. I switched on macro mode to get more of the effect. I get the same kind of pictures from my DSLR.

Biggest load of crap I've ever read. Nothing you ever say makes sense to me since the LGOG threads.. If it's a mobile data issue why is it only a HTC One issue? You're the typical Sprint rep who says any bs to silence a customer. I've been uploading from a Evo LTE and a Note 2 in a very congested crappy data city with none of those issues. It's just how the camera is on the One, it is 4mp after all.. I myself was never amazed by the camera which is why I skipped on the One. Nice features but you can definitely see a loss of quality due to it being only a 4mp cam.
Ps I like how you say it's a mobile data thing but then say to reset your router :what: :screwy:

Ok. I got tiny ble and red pixels too when the camera is in low light. But not like on your phone. Try to set up the setting on you phone to the best quality you can. Take a picture in Low and High light. If on the pictures there are not visible pixels that means is the preview the problem of you camera. If is the preview you can live with that, it's your choice. If not go for a replacement and explain the problem, but I don't know if the warranty cover that.

Yes it is a bit. The lens are clean? The leans are dirty in some way?
Also you have to take in consideration the poor quality of the picture because the low light make the picture more distorted. Is very hard for the camera to processing that king of pictures. You will never take this picture as a good picture so I will delete it. You try the perfection and is ok, I did this too. Try to take a nice clean normal light pictures, if they are good and no preview problem (solved) and no strange distortion you are fine. If there is any problem with the lcd pixels or with the lens you should have the problem all the time in the same place. So I think is not your case. Everything is ok..

No that is the phone trying to display something in the dark, the red bleed is any little bit of light coming into the lens. The scene is just too dark for the phone to render on the screen.

Seriously dude, with almost no light for the camera to render something on the display you are lucky you can even see anything. Liveview will only show you what it can based on real time processing, so in low light will most likely look much darker, in that light the shutter is probably going to to about 1 second, therefore the phone can't liveliew that because it will piss you off every time you move the camera waiting 1 second for the picture to refresh

Yep because it is too dark to show the colours correctly, it is hard for the camera to display, the red pixels is light sneaking past into the lens. Other cameras display the image as a higher iso preview so allow more light in, but change when taking the shot, not sure why Sony don't increase the this. BTW all my point and shoots and even my DSLRs in liveview have this problem in low light, unless I change the ISO high.
Maybe root your phone and download monxdified ROM, it has some camera tweaks. Try not to use superior auto, and use manual mode for best results, that way you can control many different settings.
I've bought a new note 4 recently and i was very disappointed with the auto focus of the camera (the front selfie camera) it seems like the auto focus is not working that good and always takes bad blurry photos when it's rush photo. I hate it. DAMN SAMSUNG :crying:

Me myself and many others that post in that thread have great camera.
I think you should try to replace or repair it.
Oh, and can you post some of your shots to see what blurry you're talking about. If it's in dark place, well, no comment on that, it still need to be improved, but overall camera quality especially in outdoor with good light is great.

I found this issue when I was taking low light pictures. It's like some pink flare at the edges of the photo, I don't know how to call it. It is visible only in a few low light situations.
Here is some of my captures + some pictures with the same issue I found on google (almost every night photos I found on google had this issue):
It's clearly visible when you turn up your screen brightness because it appears only in dark area like the sky.
Is it some defect?

It doesn't matter if there is a case or not. There is always the same "pink flare". I think it's like low quality camera sensor or something like that.
I hope you can see that flare in those pictures. Because it's clearly visible on my note 9. If not I can brighten those photos and reupload them.
