My touchscreen does not respond on any AOSP ROMs. I came from 4.2 JB and upgraded to cyanogen 10.1
I found a fix like this here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2159863
But its not for the Droid 4
Does anyone know of a similar fix like this for our phones?

is it possible to port any other phone roms such and droid x or droid 2 running froyo of course to the nexus one that is also running froyo??? is this possible?
Sure, but why? It doesn't offer anything more than what is available.
The main reason for porting a rom is to get utilities or applications, like Sense UI on a non-sense device. That's why you see so many Desire ports for the Nexus One.
Hey guys and gals!
Anyone know where I may be able to find a working Droid X/Droid 2 keyboard for CM7? I used to love that keyboard the best but have not been able to find one that's 2.3 compatible. I figure there should be one soon if not already since 2.3 for the Droid x and 2 have been leaked. So yea if anyone could help that would be sweet!
Thanks!
Ok, ive had the Droid 4 ever since about a week before it came out. Ive rooted, tried out every ROM that is available. I have decided to unroot until i see further development on this device. Anyways, does anyone know if we are going to start seeing any worthwile ROMs popping up, and if this phone was worth rooting? Thanks in advance.
Once the official ICS update comes out, and brings with it the ICS kernel, you wont see anything more then there already is (which in my opinion is pretty good aside from a few issues). You can only do so much when you try to run ICS on a Gingerbread kernel
So basically, its just going to be ICS ROMs? Will there be any ROM ports or anything? And we wont be seeing anything like what is available for htc phones? Sorry, i switched to the droid 4 from droid incredible, so bear with me.
There are rom ports now (CM9, AOKP, Gummy) but they are missing some functionality due to the underlying Gingerbread kernel. Unless they unlock the bootloaders for moto phones, you will never see the same kind of development like you see for HTC phones aka custom kernels and what not. Once official ICS drops though you will start seeing fully functional ICS based roms for the D4 (aka fully working camera and hardware codecs)
Hello!
I've flashed many a ROM to my old HTC DHD, but have recently upgraded to the Samsung SG3 LTE (i9305). I've yet to root, but was wondering if anyone has deveoped a Stock jelly bean rom for this device yet? By stock, I don't mean stock Samsung/Touchwiz, I mean stock, unbranded Jelly bean, the pure google experience like you would find on the Nexus 4.
I've searched and have yet to find anything. I don't post much but follow the forums and flash a lot, so go easy on me!
Any help or a nod in the right direction would be great.
Thanks
Tweedskin
Yeah... you're out of luck; in short, there are no such ROMs.
Codeworkx recently made a Cyanogenmod tree, but right now the RIL isn't working, so you can't actually use your phone as a phone. Unfortunately, Codeworkx doesn't actually own an I9305, and has no desire to deal with Samsung's less-than-supportive approach to development. There was also an earlier build made by LarryTheCow that had a working RIL, but no microphone support and no GPS. Amplified is still working on a port, but, as far as I'm aware, hasn't got very far.
There are very few developers in possession of this phone, and fewer still who are able and willing to work on such a port. I wouldn't hold your breath on this, and honestly, if you really want an AOSP ROM, then you should probably just sell your I9305. If you just want something that looks broadly similar to stock, there are a few ROMs in the development section that include a JB Domination theme, the stock launcher and a few other stock apps, which gets fairly close. You can also use Swipe Dialler and Sliding Messaging to get something broadly resembling the stock dialler and messaging apps. But it's definitely a shame that a phone with excellent hardware lacks developers to support it.
As of this morning there wasn't but about an hour ago it appears it has been updated and re uploaded with the sim card and connection working.

Yes, I thought that was probably the case!
Thanks for the reply and info....think I'm gonna hold out for another view weeks, then sell it and get a Nexus 4 if nothing is around. I use a Nexus 7 and switching between that and the S3 is akin to switching between Windows 8 and windows 7.
Nexus 4 it is! Cheers!

It was the case then, now the only significant bug with the CM10 ROM is that bluetooth headsets have very poor audio quality. Everything else is working.
hi,
I've been experimenting the notorious ghost call issue last week, suddenly.
I was running a stock based custom rom, and for this reasons I shifted to a CM11.
I was extremely surprised to realize that the issue was still there.
I'm wondering how it is possible: googling around I found that this issue arised widely on lg optimus 3d, seldom on our lg p880.
I've read that it is something related to the baseband,so a software problem: then I thought that by changing rom the issue would fix.but this did not happen.
I understood that Maybe I have to flash the stock rom with gb firmware , to get the gb baseband and than it should fix. but I'm not sure that flashing again the CM 11 I would not anymore that issue.
So what to do?
does anybody have any solution how to get the rid of this upsetting issue?
Thanks a lot
First this has to be in the Q&A section. Second please search next time, a few days ago the same topic has been posted. So refer to the other one.
