Hi there z1 owners, I have LBE installed on my phone with the exposed translation module, I use it manily to block certain apps from 3g connection.
LBE have many features one of them is battery saver, the app claims my battery have a capacity of 3500mAh and not 3000 like Sony advertised, is the app wrong or Sony didn't want to commit to 3500 due to different battery suplliers?
Is there any other way to see battery capacity?

Doesn't matter how much it is 4000, 3500 or 3000. Matter how long between the charges. Do you believe to the app or to Sony specifications? Are you here to speculating. Update to 4.3 and you will see the battery get better. I got 6 hours straight downloading, wifi, bluetooth, screen on and more. Consider also 5 inch LCD full HD. I think it's enough. With normal use you get 2 days for sure. So I really don't care what that app saying, facts are saying by it self.

Hello guys,
i have seen many O2x users are complaining about battery backup with stock battery & they want to opt for extended battery for their devices.
Then here we go, if you are from India, then surprisingly on ebay.in there is a sale of Seidio Extended Battery 3200mah for O2x at just 1800rupees($35 approx) which is very low price for Seidio Battery.
If you are really interested then grab it from the below link:
http://www.ebay.in/itm/LG-Optimus-2...?pt=IN_Mobile_Accessories&hash=item27cfa49b6c
Note: I'm just trying to help the one who are in need of Extended battery, I'm not selling my items here.
Battery Compare
Hey there,
Ive tried the battery with 3500 mAh, but it isnt that much better. Max 3 ours.
I also tried the andida 1950 battery, this one does also not provide a better battery life.
I have just bough another 1500 mAh one from obostore, this is is just working similar as the 3500 mAh one.
Strange but true.
Im on Ics, 4.0.4.
Regards,
WyCkson
I got 3500mAh extended battery from china. It seems to work pretty well ( from my reckoning its about 2500-3000mAh).

I get about 36 hours of moderate use (Wifi, some internet browsing, downloading stuff, a bit of video streaming, small periods of heavy gaming, about 4 hrs of music, single core mode on kowalski kernel for about a quarter of the time)

No reboot, but if you use the battery along with the original, please consider to keep the phone without battery for approx 2 minutes before changing battery. In my experience, It solves wrong battery status.
I use 2 bateries and its fine for me, one battery 2 days can gt normaly
it too big
I use my z less often and if I play temple run for 5 minutes , it drains nearly 4% of the battery..is it normal? And it doesnt charge in half an hour as said n the box..even with phone switched off..
Others please post your battery status

I had a couple of 4hrs screen time (data only) on the last firmware but on. 434 i never have..max was 3hrs40 mins but note this was all data with no Wi-Fi whatsoever..
I love my XZ, BUT the terrible battery life is getting to me. I am not a heavy user but I don't make it to the end of the day. And then it takes forever and ever to charge.
I am very disappointed with the phone in that respect, and if I would have realized this before I bought it, I would have probably not bought this phone.
Good Sony good.

use Stamina mode
battery is still problem with all smartphones
S III worked even worse for me
it used 10% after full charging in standby mode after few minutes But
xperia Z s using 0 % in more than 2hrs in standby mode
try to manage ur background apps.
i recommend to use xperia app manager and don use another task manager and etc.
re: Battery
I have an Acro HD, Galaxy Note, Sharp SH003, Sony Mini, and the Z. I don't see that the Z's battery is all that worse than the others. I leave WiFi on all the time for all of them (so I don't need to pay or care about data plans...)
Specifically, I usually watch TV for an hour on the way to work and another hour on the way home (the hardware 1seg feature or Hulu type service).
I may play with it sometimes during the day. I leave Skype, Groove IP, and some Japanese VOIP apps running all day too, and I don't charge it until I get home.
Even so, I get home and my battery is over 40-50%.
So obviously it's not that bad.
The note is better because it has a bigger battery I think. The iPhone is better because.. well you can't *have* stuff like Skype run reliably in the background.
Of course according to Sony's white paper, the processor is quad core, but the cores are powered up and down as needed. If you play heavy games or something it may power up all four cores and kill the battery faster.
new experiment :
Phone is well and good in deep sleep.
I charged my battery to 100 yday night, and didnt use anything.it barely used power...now my battery is on 99 today morning
May be devs should include fast charge support and other battery tweaks to make it interesting..sony cant be very confident about their software and give us a low capacity battery..hope there ll b a battery wid good capacity available on ebay which we could replace..

Recently I noticed my battery has swelled up and when It's on 20%, my phone turns off automatically. After turning it on, battery level show 2%
My original battery is just working one year. If i buy new battery, what should i do to prevent battery swelling up again?
1- Is it related to my custom ROM?
2-Is flashing just system of my ROM will help?
BTW I had installed some IO schedular apps such as seeder and auto killer memory optimizer.

Hi pal,
First of all try with BatteryCallibration.apk (it's free on the market). If you still have the same issue we will search another reason for this problem

It probably means your battery is shot. The problem with sudden reboots with low battery is usually because of the battery itself and not the rom. As for the swelling... Same story.

Replace the battery before it causes any damage. I would suggest to get the momax 1700mah, i've used it and it was brilliant.

Why MOMAX 1700? Is it better than its original samsung battery?
To be honest, i had used both simultaneously and they were both equally great.
My I9001 came with an 1650mah battery and the momax was 1700mah. the battery drain was almost similar, never had issues with it, for almost 2 years i've used the battery and it still works fine.
Is somebody using JuiceDefender on this device?
Sent from my HTC Desire C
Yeah, been using it for a while, defiantly makes a difference in battery life.
Juice defender is not worth it on low end devices like that. What you get is placebo and the same amount of battery drain as usual. It takes battery just to do the tasks you give it, so its pretty much useless. Stick to greenify.

Don't know if you've tried it but I got the Ultimate version and it does seem to preserve battery. No placebo at all since I'm getting more hours per charge.

I had the ultimate version of the app as well. It didn't change it for me, even though I made it as battery conservative as I could. I'm just drawing conclusions on personal experience.

Hi
I'm trying to calibrate my battery but just cant find a guide, is there any steps I can follow?
Thanks
There is a big guide by senior member. Check this out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2489594
Edit:
If you have CyanogenMod you can change the processor mode (you have different profiles like power save etc.) which saves a lot of battery. Alternatively you can do it like in the guide using play store apps for CPU tuning.

That thread has incorrect advice. That afore was for nicad batteries but modern batteries use li-pol and doing what it suggested in that thread actually ruins them

But using CPU Tuner (for save battery) doesn't.

many things sorted out. Well it's mainly for Notebooks, but those are the same type of batteries.
Essence of it:
There is no Overcharge,
partially discharges (not full) are much better for your battery
Full Discharges are bad.
This said:
There is a point in "calibrating" your battery:
The battery itself will not directly benefit from a 100% discharge/recharge cycle (the opposite, in fact), the calibration system, however - which serves as the battery's life meter - will more accurately predict remaining battery life as a result. This will not increase the life of the battery, but will allow you (as a user) to have a better gauge of the remaining on-time.

You only should do this, if your battery drops to 1% and remains there for longer than average under that condition.
Lets say, your battery drops to 1% and you can easily keep going over half an our with screen on but it should be dead by then.
Or the other way around:
Your device powers down at 5% (jumping from 5% to 1% and then powering off)
Then you most probably need to calibrate your device (not the battery) to match the actual capacity of your battery.
This can only be done by compeletly discharging your phone and let it power off
edit:
i just let my device charge over night. so i know i'll easily get over a day. I was never in a Situation where my battery was so low, that i need to be afraid, that it turns off
