LTE issues right after 4.4.2 (HTC One GPe) - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since I updated to 4.4.2 on my HTC ONe GPe, I've been having issues sending or receiving texts over LTE. Receiving calls as well. I can make the call (since it switches from LTE to HSPA). It specifically happens on the LTE network, not on HSPA, or 3G, or 2G.
I honestly don't know if it's a software issue, or it's just a coincidence the network is having issues for a few days and counting. Local T-Mobile said it's going to check on the issue, we'll see.

SMS/Voicemail notification error and possible fix

my random issues with sending/receiving sms have been solved (so far) on at&t. i went in to an at&t corp. store and had my old cingular 3g sim swapped for a new at&t one (CSA looked at my phone and asked what it was... i mention the 'tilt' and he said "you'd know more about that then i would, we don't generally know until the day before release"). only setting that was changed was the voicemail number that is called to check. i was still having connectivity issues with calls and sms. my final solution (haha) was to take the band settings off of auto for both gsm and network freq. i've been keeping it set to wcdma with the 850/1900mhz gsm/utms settings.
does this make sense? has anyone else on at&t in a 3g area had issues with calls or sms/voicemail? is/was your settings set to auto?

Htc One Lte Issues

I've switched roms a few times on my HTC One and lately my phone has been unable to switch from HSPA+ to LTE in areas there i receive LTE. I have tried both Sense based roms and Google Edition roms to no affect, the LTE functionality still exist however since iv been able to set it to LTE only from the *#*#4636*#*# menu and get a LTE signal on the phone but when set to LTE/GSM it will only stick to a HSPA connection. Anyone have anything similar happen or knows of a way to fix this?

No LTE and delayed SMS

Over the last few days I have had no LTE (Only 3g) and SMS have been delayed getting sent. Im in the Minneapolis area. Anybody have the same issues or have a solutions I can try. I have tried updating the profile and updating the PRL. Any help is appreciated.
My area was riddled with that for months, turns out Sprint was upgrading the towers for circuit switch fall back. A good way to see if this is the case put your M8 in LTE only mode (dial *#*#4636#*#*) and select LTE only. If your connection comes up with LTE then that is the case. I would also try and update your profile and update the PRL sometimes that helps with connection issues.
I tried the Testing mode and get no signal when i put it in LTE mode.
Thats is no bueno, the only other thing I would suggest is calling Sprint and have an engineer check out your towers.

Accepting calls when in 4G mode

I'm having some issues receiving phone calls when I'm in 4G mode - I'm aware of the fact that voice over lte doesn't work yet, however in my understanding the phone should quickly switch to 3g mode and accept the incoming call, right?
Apparently my P7-L10 has trouble with that. It just doesn't switch, and the incoming call goes to voicemail.
Is that normal? Is there any fix to make the device switch to 3g mode quicker upon a call?
Running B135 rom, rooted.

I'm having fine calls when I'm on 4G. (Milan, north Italy). Perhaps your city has too few 4G antennas and doesn't have stable 4G signal so it switches back and forth to 3G while you're having a call?

I don't think that's the issue, 4G coverage here is pretty amazing.

Forget what I wrote, I forgot that voice calls don't have to do anything with LTE, lol.
Anyway I'm having fine calls with 3G or 2G, have you tried doing a nandroid backup and start over to see if the problem occurs also in fresh state?
Fine calls with 3g or 2g here as well.
Except when I'm on 4G - nobody can reach me, it all goes to voicemail...
I could say I started fresh - I did a factory reset and a clean wipe 3 days ago, but I haven't noticed the issue untill yesterday.
On a French, people reported issues with calls in 4g covered area, but it seems that the problems come from network, not from the phone. The issues appear only in certain areas with one operator, and some other phones behave in same manner. Perhaps you need to check with another SIM card from another operator.
hello,
I encounter the same problem receiving my incoming calls in automatic mode 4G 3G 2G redirected my mail. When I'm on automatic 3G2G no problem.
I'm B133 update. 4 months no problem. Since mid-October the problem occurred.
My operator is Virgin Mobile. P7 smartphones, antennas or operator?
The rocker 4G 3G to receive calls no longer made. Tried my sim card on a S5 and a LG G2 and the problem is the same.
After several calls to my operator solution but not another concern, I have to connect data to receive my calls 4G 3G 2G automatic.
I'll try to go B121 update or réinisilisation P7.
If no solution change operator before trying their sim card lent by friends subscribers home.

Problem receiving text messages while on LTE

I've been having problems receiving text messages while connected to an LTE network. Outgoing messages send just fine and everything else works properly as well. I was able to nail the problem down to LTE when I realized that texts were flooding in while on phone calls. This is because while on a call it switches from the 4G LTE network to the 3G HSPA network. I did some further testing by having people send messages while on LTE (didn't receive them) and then by changing my preferred network type to 3G in the Settings menu. The messages came in only after doing that.
I ditched my '13 Moto X for a One M8 last year because of a similar issue so it seems to be a problem specific to Moto, though it obviously is not a widespread issue. I'm not rooted or anything. I don't have any apps installed that could be messing with it.
I'm not sure where to go from here. Does anybody have any ideas? I turned LTE off a couple weeks ago and it isn't ideal.
