Hey everyone! I just thought I would open up this thread for absolute time waste.
So, you need to say thank you to the person above you (your wish if you wanna hit the thanks button).

Thank the mods if this thread won't get locked.
I tried making a thread like this soon after the thanks button was removed in OT. The mods didn't bother locking it, they simply erased it..... :l
Thanks for reminding me....

This thread should never be deleted nor locked. Its the biggest fail I've ever seen on XDA (or maybe the second). Thank you a million times OP! Congratulations for this awesome thread and for all the thanks you will get.
Thanks!!!

Did you know you can take screenshots if you're on any of the stock roms for the Optimus Black.
Just press the [HOME] button and the power [i/o] button together quickly and a quick screen capture will be saved of the present screen you're on.
If you didn't know this already then hitting the thanks button is much appreciated, and if you already knew this then please don't bash on me here.
And if you long press the home key alone it opens the most recent apps that you used.

Thank you for the sarcastic comment. I guess you didn't read the first post properly and that might be because you're too careless. Anyways this is for the brand new OB users.

Why don't you compile all your knowledge and put it under one thread...
Most xda members already know these moves (if i am correct )

Its not a move. What in the world makes you think its a move? I am not gaining anything from here, just a guy who's sharing the little knowledge he has with the world. So please okay just please.

English is still my second language and I guess I expressed myself incorrectly.... by "moves "i meant that what you are sharing with us (button combinations), not that you gain smth.

Don't be like that, start to take feedbacks from others
Btw,i completely agree with TG
It'll be easier to search tips if they're in the same thread for begginers

+1 and read what others had to say carefully because many here are not use to English, it's easy to misunderstood. Then you're good to go. Thanks for the tips.

I think there should be an unique thread about tips like that. Who's motivated ?
OK rules: post something interesting here then give a thanks to the person above you we all get a thanks and learn something new
My interesting fact " In 1938, Time Magazine chose Adolf Hitler for man of the year."

And that these kinds of threads were generally looked down upon when it was.
One of the many reasons why we actually DONT have the Thanks button here. Good job NOOB.
This is now a DBZ thread

You are very welcome, also nice thing in this forums is that you can hit "thanks" button under a post and it raises the thanks meter of that person... I don't really like about it but other people do

Dude try to hit thanks to the person who has helped you... This way you motivate that person to help someone else... N the chain goes on... Don't break that chain...

One's motive for helping/doing something for someone or sharing information shouldn't be driven by the "Thanks" button nor donations on these forums. But the thanks button is one method to measure a users contributions to the community.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I'd like to think that a lot of people that receive help would actually type their thanks out in a reply rather than push the button. Sounds like something I'd do.

^This! A few years ago there was no XDA "thanks" button...
Actually, a MUST READ for new users are the forum rules. I think its exponentially more important that they follow the rules than hit the thanks button
The kinda ironic thing too is most guys with a lot of thanks really don't care about their thanks count and the ones that do care about it usually have something like "if I helped you hit the thanks button" in their signature.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
^^ So true.
Some people just reallly need that pat on the back.
Hit thanks if I didn't help you.
Here's another reason to use the thanks button, to keep the threads clean from un-useful replies.

One can thanks any one they want even from persunal life
Pm me if it is against xda rules

It's not against the rules, but thanks are meant to be earned, not thrown around like baby food. Don't make any more thanks farming threads.
"Thanks".
