Guys I have being trying to switch to Art runtime from dalvik but after the reboots I check on settings and I'm back to dalvik. I'm rooted lockbootloder running Xpose framework. Any suggestion on what should I look into.

It's because your running Xposed. Xposed is not compatible and will bootloop on ART so to avoid this it resets it to Dalvik on boot. At this point in time you must choose: Xposed OR ART not both.

I'm having trouble getting xposed framework to install on the Rom 'Renovate' rev 6. I've updated my su binaries and when I try to install xposed everything works fine until I reboot. Then the app_process gets removed... The Rom clearly states it suppports xposed and even has an option for it in the aroma installer. What am I doing wrong here?

Ask for support in the ROM thread, I'm sure you'll get more help.
Don't have the privilege to post there yet... I'm pretty sure it's because I'm s-on though...

Updated to 4.4 and the pandora unlimited app wouldn't work. Uninstalled it and tried to re-install. Just keep saying app doesn't install. Have unknown apps checked. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using ART? ART has issues with some apps like Whatsapp
Yeah that might be it. Will change it back and see. Thanks for the help

Pandora|ONE 5.0 works fine on my Nexus 5 running 4.4.2 and ART. It also worked with 4.4 and 4.4.1.
i just can't get any of them to work in art or dalvick mode. Also, everytime i install an app it says sprint id not found. maybe i just need to factory reset and re-install everything
I am having the same problem running a 4.4 ROM on my N4. Running ART on a CM 11 based ROM.
Even through the play store I can't install

doh... i just came across this problem now... =(
I couldn't get Pandora to work on 4.4 with art enabled either. Switched back to dalvik installed then switched back to art and it wouldn't work for me.

I had this also...I had Pandora installed, tried art and it force closed. A reinstall wouldn't take and going back to dalvik didn't fix it...only a restore of the entire rom worked.
Guessing it just won't work with ART and once it screws up, its toast.

I've been having the same issues with my Moto G from Boost Mobile
I have a converted gpe still kk 4.4.2 rooted, s-off using a custom kernel. I tried to change the runtime to art but always comes back dalvik after reboot. is there an obvious prerequisite to enabling this that I am missing?
thank you

Now that we have root, I want to finally utilize the phone!
What's safe to do in XPosed framework and what's not? What are common things people use it for? I'm familiar with flashing ROMs but haven't really used xPosed aside from installing one module for allowing better battery stats to work with Kit Kat.
I use the exchange security hack and the greenify module.

for me its safe to use
BUT if you downloaded a module NOT for you device or rom so you may get force close with the app that the module is modded (eg. module modded the settings app, so the settings app may not work) (you'll need to disable the module)
and its don't effect to the battery life :good:
thats all i got!

For me, Root Cloaker, Greenify and Gravity Box all work just fine.

Have you tried modifying the stock lock screen with Gravity Box? Thanks.

Are you able to enable Soft Keys with GB? I'm super nervous about doing a few things since we do not have recovery (900A).
My warranty flag is still 0x0, but BootManager caused my kernel boot animation to change to the "Custom" unlocked padlock symbol.

Might have to do with system apps being restricted from startup. And I've heard that changing from art to dalvik can trigger the custom status but just a thought

I have not. Someone else posted it doesn't work, so I guess that's the answer. I use GB to tweak the status bar mainly b/c I like the date to show and I hate the stock TW white color. Other than that I don't mess with too many of the settings it can manipulate.
I've had better luck with Wanam Xposed than with Gravity Box on the gs5.

Will have to check out Wanam Exposed. I was really hoping to have lockscreen widgets again.

It goes back and forth for me. Different Xposed modules will add that message to your boot sequence, but a few reboots and it should go away.
Hi everybody.
Did anybody try to change from dalvik to art?
In developer settings you can do it, but for me it doesn't work. After the reboot everything stays as before, on dalvik.
Perhaps it's because of the custom recovery, but I don't know.
Please enlighten me if you know how it works or if it can work.

OK i have tried with stock recovery and factory reset and it reverts to Dalvik so im guessing its not supported by our HTC system. When they release the L update im sure it will work. Mind you if you use Xposed like i do you need to wait for it to be updated too.

What I mean is Xposed does not work with art yet.
