Hi there!
Some options in hidden menus ##XXXX# ask for passcode. What's that and where can I take it? i don't remember setting any!
It's usually 000000 I think

on CM6 I could add text to my pin screen so I could write something like "if found please call XXX-XXX-XXXX to return" but I have not been able to find this on any rom for my captivate, so if i want the security that the pin unlock offers, an honest person who finds my phone (if i were to lose it) couldn't return it to me!!
I have thought of a solution, just change the theme of the pin-unlock screen to add some custom text, but I couldnt find any info from my various google searches... any one care to point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Check the market. There are several apps that will do that.

Is there any app that allow to edit APN list in CM9. Note that we don't want to edit apn-conf.xml file!
Tnks
Can't you just go to the APN settings and change it manually from there?
No. It disabled. I can't edit. Only can add new.

What do you mean it is disabled? If you click on one of the APNs you can open it and then Edit the info, and then menu and save.
when touch in any APN name, the "edit access point" must be open, but in this case there is no reaction, no new screen open so cannot edit

You are doing it wrong then. Just click any access point name and the edit screen should come up. Remember to click on the name instead of the button, and also don't long press.
Hi, i'm having the same problem with the same rom, but on a Blade, nothing happens when you touch the APN name, only thing it allows you to do it's creating a new APN and that new one is not editable...sorry for my english
thx
For some reason the Mobile Network Settings page appears, generally after a phone call or directly after swiping up on the lock screen. I have no idea why this happens and its driving me nuts. It happens about 3 in 10 times I unlock the phone or make a call.
I have the standard ROM from Sony and haven't really messed on with anything seriously technical. Happens with Go Launcher, too, if this helps?
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Russell
Is it the apn settings??
Do you have a screenshot?

I have attached a screen shot but there's nothing special, just brings up the standard network settings image. Also, not sure what apn settings are - certainly I haven't changed them. A bit of scouting about and it looks like its just the standard Vodafone listing in there. Bog standard.
Its really annoying as this is the only thing (well apart from Chrome is choppy and viewing text in a browser doesn't resize like on my old Desire HD...) that I can find wrong with the phone.

Is there away to disable that menu after calling? The menu where it gives you the option to call or message the contact?
I'm pretty sure that it is built into the wrong. So there's no way around it. The only other option you have is installing a custom ROM once they are available.
oh okay thanks

I am going to email Wanam and see if he can add something into Wanam Exposed for this.
I know exactly what you mean. That screen is just stupid.

Thanks bro, like if i ended a call with a person, why would i need to call them again? right? lol...
I live chatted with sprint to get the MSL and I thought they were giving me a BS code. Has anybody else received their code as "000000"? Yesterday it didn't work for me so I live chatted again to get the MSL. I was given the same number, but this time they also gave me the puk code which is pretty much useless for me for what I was trying to achieve. Today, while scrolling the secret codes looking for a service number to put in I found something, tried it, and failed and it automatically rebooted. Upon reboot I went through shortcut master for LTE functionality and I entered the MSL number as all zeroes again and viola, I could edit my APNs. Is this dumb luck or after chatting through sprint live chat is it possible they pushed something to the phone that took affect after live chat? Either way, I was able to edit what I need and now have hotspot working w/o the benefit of the tethering plan.
uuh, so the MSL is "000000" just to comfirm. LOL BUT you cannot edit APN type, at least i can't.

Funny thing is that "000000" was the msl for the S8 plus as well.. lol
I used the website activation trick (where you leave your phone OFF while trying to activate it from the website before powering it on) and it gave me '000000' and I thought it just didn't know what the MSL was because I bought it from Samsung... I guess it is really 000000?

I do this too.
And yes, the MSL is 000000. Just as it was on my S8+. I guess they aren't giving the phones unique MSL's any longer.
I can't edit it, faded in gray.

Got the Note 8. Put it on the network. Installed all the updates. Installed all my apps and transferred everything from my old phone then did the edit to enable hotspot.
Version when I made the edit was AQI5

Finally got it to work. I tried to edit it through ##3282# but it doesn't work that way. Update profile disables it as well.

Same here. Gotta follow directions above using the master shortcut app. 000000 doesn't unlock the APN settings in ##3282# (DATA) and you don't need you MSL code to use the app.

Data is data. Enabling hotspot in this way doesn't hide from Sprint that you are using data. They can see how much data comes from your phone on their network.
What It does do though is enables hotspot that you don't have to pay for. Although currently Sprint allows 10gb of reporting for free.
But if you do this mod when your 10gb is up you should still be able to hotspot.

I just tried it and it worked for me. I'd been using Easy Tether with my Note 5. Glad to have this as an option again.
I followed directions but when I launched the com.testLTEfunctionibility - nothing happened. Am I missing something.
