[CAMERA FIX] fixes camera Exposures, instant video record (no delays), and gives the best image quality
[MIC FIX] fixes the audio routing so we can use you common favourite headphone and use built-in mic for calling, recording, voice-chat apps, etc..
Installation:
Download and flash with your favourite recovery...
* In case it doesn't flash correctly you can grab the libs from the zip and replace it manually and set the corresponding permissions but remember to reboot when you finish the replacement to avoid DSP Manager FC's...

OMG, it really works!! Im using neko95 G-T-R 1.9 ROM, Hats off to you sir...
BTW, i've just copied libs and set permissions in rootexplorer
Finally --> [BUG] Headphones are always recognized as mic+headphones. Internal mic is then disabled thus making it impossible to answer calls on headphones with no mic.
WORKING!!!
WORKING 100% on C.M RC1 !!! And it has also improved the voice quality during calls immensely! Thank you 1000 times!!!
Tested on CM7.2 RC1 stock everything. Seem to do nothing, Sound recorder doesn't show any mic activity. Any special conditions that I should follow in order to flash this properly?

Do not flash. Copy the files and then change the ownerships back to default. And this works only when you are on a call. It cannot be used to record in normal mode when headphones are on.
What's the source? did you just pull the libs from Mik's old ROM?

That's not really how this should be. At least the libs that Adam posted yesterday(?) are working fine with CM7 and even Sound recording works while having just the regulasr headphones in.

Can you post a link to Adam's libs? And does it work with a non-default kernel?
EDIT> I tried Adam's libs Recording with headphones work. But while on call, the mic does not work...Maybe because, I am not using stock C.M kernel. I have to go back to TK's libs now.

Seems that TK posted libs works as expected but not adam ones...
I fixed the installing script. Now it should set the right permissions. OP can add this to his post if he wants.
Works on LG Phoenix P505
Tested on LG P505 with SlimGen 1.3 and it workd great!

Thanks for this.. will test.. got prob lems with CAmera using GTR ROm 4.5X..
Camera freezes while recording...and FC is there ....I think this is not the umagleekha version. It had good default exposure and there was no border in the preview...Which camera libs are these?? The exposure is dark and recording video does no work. A trial to press the button results in FC....
Microphone is fixed for ever...all work, recording (you can hear your voice in the headphones)....and while in a call....

Since Yesterday, My camera doesnt work anymore... I had the GTR ROm 4.5x that time,...
Tried everything to fix it, flashed kernels, reflashing ROMs nothing works..
Now, even my Nandbackup of a stable ROM is affected.. the CAmera doesnot work!
BTW, I tried this fix ang still doesnt work.. hope u guys have an answer..

Um he probably took the wrong camera fix, or did not set permisions on apk and libs right.
GO to my original thread with the camera fixes, and if you want brighter exposures flash my N2 libs fix, it should definately work, tested 100x on my own phone.

This camera will work on apps like Intagram, Wechat, Skypr, or any apps using the camera?
I will try this when i have time. I'll write the result.
So far in Mackay CM10; front camera doesn't work, gallery inside camera makes it FC, video capture has low FPS adn video playback not available. We'll see which will better.
In the mean time let me ask you guys an unrelated question. After so much trying i installed Mackay CM10 on but all that effort made me forget doing factory reses inside CM. Do you think it will come back and bite me in the .ss? Should i do it?
Obviously there is no point asking questions anyore. But since i said it i would like to write here the result for future references.

I encountered serious bugs in [ALPHA][ROM][4.3][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 10.2 for LG Optimus Black - Alpha 1 which are not listed in "Known Issues". As iam not allowed to post in the developing section until i reached 10 posts in total i will present my experiences here.
Known Bugs are:
Video recording is slow.
Microphone recording is not proper.
WiFI Tethering doesn't work
WiFi Direct doesn't work
Bluetooth Tethering doesn't work.
My encountered Bugs are:
Camera apps (CM and native) stop responding when photo is taken.
Connecting the Optimus black to a power supply (even the original LG) leads to a complete system hang. To bring it back to live a battery pull is necessary.
Maybe the root of the evil lyes in the way i took to get there. So here in short.
1. Original firmware V10A was successfully rooted with GingerBreak
2. Installed newest RomManager via Aptoide
3. Installed CWM via RomManager
4. Rebooted to recovery
5. successfully installed CM10.2 image
6. rebooted
7. started into CM10.2
8. rebooted
9. installed Gaps for 10.2
10. Tested for bugs, encountered known issues + own issues
I would be happy if someone could find the missing detail. Thanks in advance.

I think the camera buck is also a "know" bug for most if not all of the 4.3 ROMs that is based on CM10.2

Yes its known to be slow, but it isn't known to crash the camera app, is it?
CM10.1 camera
google for "cm10.1-lge-cameraa.zip" it is the LG camera that works on cm10.1. I can not remember where I got it. I am using it on Velox rom with android 4.3 without any problems.
This ROM is based on the awesome work of kasper_h with some improvements on stabilty and the latest source from CM, so it's pretty close to stock.
Kernel is the mackay kernel updated to latest 3.0.y linux branch, with some improvements from the stock one.
Improvements/fixes:

App2sd fixed (init procedure adapted from galaxy sl rom)
General code cleanup
Triple buffering for smoother animations
Enabled WebGL
Increased powervr buffer size (powervr.ini from Eviscerations velox rom)
Charger suspend implementation to turn off screen in charger mode
Proximity sensor on call screen fixed
Other minor performance tweaks in Boardconfig, init...
(patches mostly taken from galaxy s/sl CM rom)
Kernel:
Kernel patched to latest 3.0.101
Included lots of patches from the latest LG kernel sources
Full wipe is necessary since the mountpoint and procedure of the sdcard is changed!
Known issues:
- Video recording is crappy as usual... (if someone is interested in helping to port the camera hal, please let me know)
- Wifi hotspot (?)
Install:
If you have mackay rom or another cm10.1 based rom => full wipe!
Flash with with CWM or TWRP recovery, then flash the gapps on top.

Factory reset is required or you will end up with double folders in your gallery and other strange things..
Update: somehow i got the lg camera hal working, previews are working fine, but the capturing doesn't trigger, settings (white balance, exposure...) don't take effect, no autofocus and the image is blueish.
strangely video recording works fine
Hmm. Good work mate. I am happy with CM10 build but if you get the camera to normal, i will try your ROM. By normal i mean CM standards, i don't have high expectations.

and by cm standards i hope you mean p970 standards and not galaxy s standards
seriously the lg camera hal is nothing for ordinary mortals like me... a lot of features are controlled by the fw3a binaries and icapture lib, and i can't find the sources for them anywhere.
btw the camera in my build works, just on hd video recording sometimes it freezes and has low framerates (usual p970 standard )
as i remember well this bug was also present on cm10, correct me if i'm wrong

Ah, ok then mate. I thought camera was troubled. If it is normal CM quality on P970 then i will try it when i have the phone empty for couple of days. I don't care much about video, a decent photo quality is enough for me, in case i need it. Thanks.

at least photo capturing works just like on stock rom.
neither do i care about video, but then comes this moment 2-3 times a year where you think "damn, i can't record this crazy sh*t"

It may be that PixelMaster of this topic (x86_64) work on BORETS ROM Zenfone 4 Edition
I have [ROM]Groovy Android[Nightlies][Nougat][7.1.2] on my ZE551ML (Z00A), I tried PixelMaster v3 and v4:
I successfully flashed it from recovery, the app starts and takes good pictures with back camera but the front camera doesn't work instead: it takes green lines picture or it blocks completely the camera without taking the photo. The camera results to be blocked even for other apps so it need the system to be rebooted.
I just tried version 4.1, it gives the same result as above. The problem is still the front camera, after taking a green striped photo it blocks completely the camera..
UPDATE:
The main problem seems to be the "optimization" option in the settings menu: after disabling it, the front camera works well!
DOESN'T WORK:
- "GIF" mode on both cameras (no reboot needed)
- "Panorama" mode closes immediately the app (no reboot needed)
- "Super resolution" mode blocks irrevocably the camera even for other apps (reboot needed*)
- video recording slightly lags in respect to other apps
*soft reboot is enough

In Z00L with Groovy Android GA-N-v7.1.2-20181112-Z00L-Release, the front camera works seamlessly in all apps I've tested.

On Groovy my front camera works well with all the other apps, both switching from the back one and taking pictures.
Can you provide a changelog of the updates of PixelMaster app?
I will try version 4.2 asap and keep you posted
