Hello , first of all please treat me as a newbie .
From Ultimate I installed the latest Rom Rom Carbon . After that the phone started to behave erratically until it went out.
When I turn the screen only displays Samsung .
I have access to CWM and Download Mode from the CWM tried again I set you the Ultimate Rom that worked me well ( why I changed ! ? ) , But nothing, when you install the ROM , middle restarts , returning the samsung screen or off.
I also tried to use the nandroid restore but nothing happens , sometimes I get to see the home screen of the rom, but then is frozen .
I have been told that I have to retrieve it by putting using odin the original rom gingerbread 2.3.6 and then move to the official 4.1.2 then install the kernel philz corresponding to 4.1.2 .
But I can not get the links to these roms , I'm really desperate because in a week I 'm on vacation and my Note quisera working again .
( apologies , I'm using the google translator)
Thanks in advance and greetings from Buenos Aires.
Boot into recovery again. Then go to mounts and storage. Then format system, data, cache and preload. Then restore your nandroid of ultimate and check.
Unfortunately, in my desperation rookie, format the external sd. I know, I deserve everything that happens to me. : (Sorry. ..

He can but the rom he was on previously worked fine. So why not try that.
Although now he mentioned that he has wiped one of the storages. So if the backup was on that card then Odin is one way or flash a fresh new rom using recovery.

Now I'm a PC, I installed a ROM with GingerBread Stock (from here: http://windowstorussia.com/n7000-note-has-found-a-rom.html) using Odin, the process was completed successfully, but Note keeps shutting off. Now pass the samsung screen, I get to see the animated logo and hear the music but then turns off. Even got to see for a moment the welcome screen of the desktop (in Russian), but the Note turn off. : (

Dear Nokiamodeln91:
I successfully GB flash and then a "wipe data / factory reset" using the stock recovery and still the same. The Note still turn off after show samsung logo.
Note: When the stock recovery is initialized NEXT throws the error message: "can not access to '/ system / csc / BTU / system".
Although immediately after indicated:
"Successfully applied multi-CSC."
I'm using the google translator, sorry.

CSC means Customer Service Code. I think you flashed a ROM that's not suitable for your region or carrier (service provider).
Try flashing a new GB ROM from dr.ketan thread here ... select the appropriate ROM based upon your carrier and country.
I would say instead of flashing a GB rom, flash a JB rom.

Dear friends:
yesterday during one of my tests, when I installed the Kernel Philz, threw me the message that my battery was almost empty, which surprised me because it always appeared when the charging icon, appeared almost full.
I hope it is just the battery. Today I will see if I can buy or try another battery.
The'll informed.
BTW: I tried flashing GB roms and JB, always with the same result: successful flash, but stops before reaching the desktop.
[Solved] It was the battery!
First of all thank you very much for your help !
It was the battery ! . Although the loading icon showed almost loaded , was nearly exhausted. The track gave the Kernel Philz , when I tried to run the recovery mode , it appeared a message that told me the battery was exhausted.
Today I went to a business and bought one. And presto , the phone started and reached the Android splash screens .
Problem solved.
What could have happened? I do not know , I remember the Carbon Rom installed , make mistakes of gapps ( I installed a newer version of android that he used the Carbon) , then I changed the gapps ( mostly via CWM ) Note and walked. Towards evening , wanting to see a youtube video mobile overly heated . I decided to turn it off and leave it charging ( charger samsung but a little loose contact to the tab that comes on the phone, always used " enrroscando " the alrrededor mobile cable for connecting and charging Although the record ) .
The next morning he surprised me were the 76 % should have charged all . Two hours later the phone died . What died was the battery , of course.
What confused me was that when I put in recovery mode, the screen remained stable forever, so I figured it was not the battery , now fall obviously the recovery mode makes minimal use of the battery and display resources .
Anyway, for the next we know that the battery may be the problem. It may have been a failure of the Rom ? of gapps ? Charger ? or battery ( bought in May).
Possibility is that you have to recalibrate the batterie. there are apps in the market that can do this.
Else may be the charger in the phone itself is damaged. or the usb port. Also possible that the new battery is defect, too.
try your battery in another Note. Then you will know.
the USB port on my Note was faulty so charging was not stable. Replacement cost me 20 Euro.

Hi there,
I had no problem with my Note until this morning when I woke up.
My Note was turned off, I tried to turn it on, impossible.
I plugged the usb wire and I saw the battery logo and it was fully drained.
It's weird because I usually hold 2 days with my phone and yesterday, before sleeping, the battery was almost full.
More than that, I use Green Power, so all the connectivity services shut down during the night, there's almost no battery consumption.
So, I tried to turn it on, many times, impossible... it's stuck at the blinking Samsung logo.
I use the LQ2 rom with the Franco's kernel R5.
I've also tried to wipe cache & Dalvik's cache in recovery, but that doesn't change anything.
I'm beginning to be a bit worried because I've red some post on the forum saying that the Note's CPU can burn...
Please help ! Thanks !
are you overclocked? but even if you are, if the device goes into deepsleep, it can't burn...
i wonder what really happened..
How long have you had Franco 5 running on it?
I got stuck at flashing logo when I tried to upgrade from Rocket ROM 3 to 4.1. Ended up having to do factory reset. Now on RR4.1 with CF kernel. Hoping it stays stable.
So if all else fails do the factory reset as per ROM instructions and hope that gets you through.
I don't overclock the device, I try to run it as simple as possible, as long as I have Gmail, I'm happy.
I don't know what happened... I was running Franco's R5 since the day he released it, without any single problem !
I'm now on a Windows, I'll try to run Odin and flash it.
Yes, no idea what appened.
But the best is to flash a wipe stock Rom from Odin PC.
How to check if my cpu is not burned ?
I flashed a new rom with Odin, the phone doesn't boot anymore...

I hope your PBA is not cooked like mine. I was on franco's kernel too before I could revert back to safety, it was dead. Are you able to get in download mode? When flashing or wiping, do you get errors on datafs or factoryfs?

First of all the CPU is fine, since you see the Recovery screen.
From Recovery flash Abyss 4.2, reboot Recovery (from Advances).
Wipe user data, Cash and Dalvik Cash,
Flash any ROM.
I had a very similar problem. Resolved by reverting to Franco R4.
Good luck!

When I do that, before flashing the latest rom, I was going into recovery.
Now that I flashed it, I land into a "Android system recovery (3e)".
It's a blue menu like the CWM Recovery but with less options.
I suppose that this is the default recovery system bundled by Samsung...

Now that I flashed the original rom, I lost root, how can I do that ?
When I first got my TMobile Galaxy S2, the first day it died completely while I was sleeping. I tried turning it on and I would feel the vibration of the phone trying to turn on but it wouldn't. I figured the battery had drained so I plugged it in the charger, but the phone wouldn't stay off and charge, it would try turning on over and over. It went into a crazy bootloop. It was my first time with the phone so I thought it went crazy and called samsung.
Eventually the phone got enough of a charge to power on completely without shutting down. I eventually realized that if my phone died completely, what I had to do was use my Car Charger, which didn't turn my phone on and showed me the little battery indicator showing it was charging.
I don't know if this is similar to what you experienced but hope it helps.

a similar thing happened to me earlier,
I would advise you not to have wiped anything whilst on ICS even with franco kernel.
If you can go to download mode, do so then using pc odin flash a stock rooted GB rom from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535025
then flash cwm recovery. following this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360
then wipe data, cache and everything else.
you should be back to GB then flash whatever rom you want, I would advise you to flash paranoidandroid which is superb.
the only difference I had with you, is that i did not wipe data or cache whilst on ICS so this may not work for you as you have done that.
But this method worked for me.
Ok, I'll try to flash the GB rom, and I'll be back to get you update of the situation...
I think I'll be back on HTC soon... I don't understand why the phone reacted like that...
I was installing the DA Statusbar mod. Before I did that I back up my phone using CWM and Titanium Backup.
installed with no problems, I then rebooted. Home screen froze for a second and then showed me that my system.ui crashed. It kept doing that for a good 5 minutes. I decided to go back into CWM and restore my last saved state. I recieved an error installing the back ups (I have made 5 so far).
Now I don't really know what to do. I know I have to basically start from the beginning via flashing stock rom on odin. But how would I go about doing that? I can't seem to find the thread that explains this. =/
Thanks in advanced
SOLUTION HERE
You need to be much more specific. What's your recovery version? How did you backup/restore? Have you done this before? What's the error?
Use the unified tool kit to flash the stock rom.
I strangely cannot find a thread for the 9305 for stock roms =\
The stock firmware can be found on sammobile

To shorten the question and answers... If you could still boot to Download mode.
Flash your stock original firmware trhu Odin on your pc or download an exact model for your phone in SamMobile. From there you start a new... Root then re flash the cwm and so on...
If I understand this right you can boot to cwm and you can boot into the phone but the systemui fcs.
You can do a couple things here without having to reflash anything through odin. If you have your original systemui on the phone somewhere you can try and navigate to it with a root explorer then copy it into your system/app reboot and it should be as before, this can be tricky with constant fc's.
If you have a zip which has a systemui in it you can flash that in cwm and should fix the problem.
If you have a custom rom on your phone you can boot into cwm and flash it.
The fact that you have access to cwm and the phone boots but the systemui constantly fc's making the phone unusable means you have more options and quicker ways to get your phone working then going back to scratch and flashing a rom through odin

Solution.
Basically I got stuck at the samsung boot logo for ages.
I am running CWM v5.5.0.4. I have done this before, sorry I wasn't specific, I was trying to multitask. I've attached a screenshot of my phone info for everyone to see.
1. I wiped data/factory reset.
2. Wiped cache partition.
3. Wiped Dalvik Cache
4. Battery Stats
Rebooted, still no luck.
I went into Download mode.
Opened Odin.
Downloaded " Param_Bin_I9305.zip - 612.14 KB" located in this post
Followed the instructions in that post.
rebooted.
Thought it didn't work but my capacitive buttons lit up. SUCCESS!
Saw my homescreen, I thought I would have needed to root again but I managed to get into CWM after rebooting.
I downloaded root checker....I saw that I still had root access.
Installed Pandoriam v6.
Now I am back to normal.
My CWM backup didn't save me, I don't really know why. Maybe I was using it wrong? The thing is It's worked with me in the past, but not on this device.
Is there anyone that could shed light on that issue? I'll try and back it up again. Do I need to repeat the backup more than a few times to register it to the device?
Not sure if this is the right place or not but seems to be a similar situation.
I have a month old S3 LTE that came with 4.1.2 . It has not been rooted or had anything done to it at all.
I found a thread that shows you how to unlock it but was not getting the final option . This I understood was because some of these phones needed to be downgraded .
I saw a procedure using odin and looked for a similar rom on Sammobile but could not see any for Orange UK so picked a random 4.1.1 Rom and flashed it.
This left me with a glowing Samsung boot screen so I tried another ROM and another ROM and finally when giving up choose a current 4.1.2 Rom for EE but that too is stuck at the same place.
Can you help me work out where I am or have been going wrong please?
The Phone is from Orange UK ( EE ) but there was no branding on it .
i also neglected to note the Rom that was on it
if you read the guides you will find out that you need to factory reset after flashing
Unfortunately as the phone is sitting at a glowing Samsung logo, I cannot factory reset. In fact I cannot do anything except keep throwing Roms at it, unless you have any other suggestions?

Well here's the whole story:
Day before yesterday my PC broke so I used my Note as a temporary replacement of PC.
I hooked up my Note via MHL cable on 24” PC monitor. Everything worked fine – I browsed the
web, read forums via TapaTalk and watched one episode of series that I normally watch.
I left MHL cable attached to phone all night to charge it. I only turned off phone screen and naturally
MHL connection stopped working and monitor went to standby.
In the morning everything was fine. I played NFS Most Wanted for around hour via MHL cable.
Later I connected my home speakers to audio out on phone to listen Tune-In radio. Again I left MHL connected to phone and just turned phone screen off. because if it's on and MHL connection is alive it
consumes more power than charger connected to MHL can provide so it's discharging battery. I left it so and went to take care of some things.
When I got back and tried to turn on the phone screen was black but capacitive buttons lit up, and touch was working fine, I could hear ripple effect of my lock screen and picture of it showed up on my 24” monitor, so I restarted phone “on blind” - touching black screen on phone and watching my touches on 24” monitor that was still connected via MHL.
After this action my phone was dead.
It wont to turn on – no sign whatsoever – no sound, no vibration, screen wont to turn on.
If I connect phone to charger there's no reaction.
If I try to enter recovery or download mode result is the same – no reaction
But there's little hope: after I pulled out the battery and left it like that over night, in the morning I managed to get in download mode and flashed stock 4.0.4 firmware via Odin – but again phone wont boot and I cannot enter download or recovery mode. I must pulled out battery and wait 6-8 hours, after that I got one chance to boot to download mode. Not sure if I can boot to recovery mode since I tried this only once.
Bottom line I can try to claim my warranty but first I must format my internal storage because prior
my phone broke I was running Ultimate 5.1 ROM based on JB leak and I have stuff like titanium backup, cwm folders and I think that I also have .zip of Ultimate ROM on my internal – so enough
evidence that I wasn't on stock unrooted Samsung firmware and I can lose my warranty if in repair center somehow manage to boot up my phone and find this stuff on my internal memory.
Any tips or tricks how to revive my phone ??
Sorry for longer post but I wanted to explain everything that happened before my phone died.
Charge your battery and then use Jig usb, if it isn't hardware fault or isn't bricked by wiping while on stock ics it will go into download mode,
this Jig cable solved a lot of this issues

But as i wrote in first post I can enter download or recovery mode if i pull out battery and wait 6-8 hours. I don't need USB jig for that.
So if I enter recovery on stock ICS ( my phone has insane chip ) I should just wipe data/factory reset OR is it better to flash stock GB and than wipe ?
But to me this looks like hardware failure not like bricked device... Because when i flashed stock rom via odin ( and checked auto reboot) phone wont to boot... Just black screen... no sign of life...

Charge ur battery outside of the SGN.
With hdmi cable u can't charge ur phone, he is just giving u extra electro supply so ur note can run TV/HD screen with hdmi cable.
Because this happened while u were connected to ur monitor, settings were stored like u are still connected with it (this is bug on some ICS and JB ROM's).So charge ur battery outside the note, when charged, boot ur phone with hdmi cable plug into note and screen.
After that u should be able to solve ur problem.
If not we will try something else.
:highfive:
Ok. Battery is fully charged with external charger. Will try this trick around 02:00 when I get home from work.
One more question: I can get to stock recovery tried that yesterday - should I wipe/data factory reset since i have insane chip? I'm not on ICS as I wrote in first post but on stock JB leak nonrooted with stock recovery.

Yes Philz kernel for the JB leak. This can be flashed via stock recovery and it will provide you the safety

OK. Just flashed Philz kernel and recovery. In the morning I will do a wipe.
Should I wipe only:
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache
-wipe dalvik cache
OR i should go full wipe ( system, preload, internal sd card) and again flash stock ROM ??
If you are going to flash a new rom then select the "clean before new rom flash" option from Philz settings. That will clean the old rom.
Then you can go to advanced and select reboot download.
Ok here's what I did in the morning:
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache
-wipe dalvik cache
-reboot system
System booted, I could hear boot sound and capacitive buttons lit up but there's nothing on phone screen - it's black but touch is working. When I connected phone to MHL cable picture shows up on monitor.
So that means that GPU is working, but also i know that touch & screen are working fine in recovery so why i can't get picture on phone screen?
Sent from my Skate using Tapatalk 2
Something messed up in the mhl switch. You could try flashing the rom again using PC odin in download mode.
And before flashing the new rom, make sure you follow the steps I mentioned above for a clean install.
Ok. Thanks for reply.
Now I must wait around 6h before I can try again - to enter recovery and do all wipes and another 6h to enter download mode to flash rom.
Will do all necessary wipes and also format internal sd card - probably have lots of junk there...

Now it seems that phone is completely dead.

there are GB firmware on sammobile. dont use the search there. use the drop down menu and select note and your region.

2. Do i need some additional files like, kernel or bootloader or phone or csc (or will just all this zip to pda will install it)
3. What else should i take care of?

Ok.
I went into cwm.
1 I factory reset. Wiped the data
2 wiped catche
3 wiped dalvic catche
4 went into download mode
5 with Odin 1.85 recognised device installed official rom.
The progress was shown in both phone and Odin. Factoryfs, kernel, hidden and catche shown to be successfully copied.
Only the auto reboot was selected
After device restated it shouted the Samsung logo. Without triangle
I thought it was a success.
Then I saw green Android logo with install process which seemed to have successfully completed on the phone.
but then just as the Samsung and a ring revolving screen came up, insured of booting up the device got shut down.
I thought it will reboot ok but it didn't. I tried restating several times but it kept getting shutdown.
I then flashed the official firmware again but this time after Odin transferred all the files on the phone, the green android logo is not able to complete the installation in the middle of it the phone is restating showing the battery charging logo, then the green bot trying to install then again it restarts.

Not sure if you have any other strong reason to go back to pure stock. Otherwise the easiest way is to install a stock base custom rom using PhilZ kernel and rom.zip. Sweet rom 10.5 is very good. Fast and stable.
Install purestock rom via odin is a pain and can cause lots of problems due to poor cable connection.

Did you have enough battery before flashing? Power off the phone.. Then connect it to ac charger for couple of hours and then remove the charger and start the phone.
I do believe I had more than 80%on the 1st attempt but I can't say that about this morning.
Any ways I did put it on charge today. Nearly two hours. Since it was looping on the battery and installation thing I put it on download mode. But now after removing from download mode is not even starting on download mode. I feel is further damaged. Any other software to interact with the phone or any other options I might have left

If it is not the batery then software does not help. There is a tool name usb jig which can help put phone to DL mode.

Thanks people for all the support. I think I will take it to the Samsung people as it is getting a little scary for my brother to trust me with this

Hi guys i need advises for my phone's problem
I bought this s3mini(I8190n) last year and i have installed virginity rom 3 weeks ago and have no problem using it,last night i was listening some music and chatting with friends and suddenly phone restarted,i thought i accidentally pressed the power button so i waited it to boot again, after booted,it restarts again 30seconds later and the process didn't stop until i pull my battery out and put it in again.I have searched the net for solutions so i went in recovery mod to clear cache, dalvik cache and factory reset, but when i boot my phone again it is not resetted,i also tried removing sd card and sim card, flash the param and wipe with odin but no avail.Should I flash the stock rom?Does it requires usb debugging?thanks in advance
