Double boot logo? - Motorola Atrix HD

So basically, it is what the subject says: I have two boot logos.
I used to have the Motorola dual core and carbon logos, the other day I got a new boot logo thinking it would fix the problem but it only replaced the moto one. It's not bothering me or anything too much but is there any way to get rid of one of the boot logos? (Doesn't matter which one)

Should I change my nexus to this phone ?

Hi every one
I was thinking to change my galaxy nexus to LG optimus 4x HD .
And I was wondering if LG will ever unlock the bootloader
If lg wont unlock the bootloader I will not buy this phone
Sent From My Google GALAXY NeXuS
Nexus is a good phone. Why change it? You have newest updates and launcher is smoother than on LG. My girlfriend has Galaxy Nexus and I like it more than my 4X.
There is a high propability that LG will never unlock bootloader. Nobody knows if or when it will be unlocked, because LGs information politic is horrible.

LG O4X is an awesome device and really attractive, but still until now there is no boot-loader unlocker. So, I think LG will not let this device dead because if they don't make the device unlocked bootloader, the customer will not buy any product of LG .. They will lose much money ( Disaster )
I really make sure that the boot-loader will unlock
Best regards,

@Ozeer, you think that LG cares about that?
Most part of the people use the phone like they use the car, the computer, etc... they turn on use what/how they know/can and while it works its perfect.
If I knew for example that the camera was so bad, I'd choosed another phone independentely of the bootloader be or not locked.
Camera its an issue, cause if the bootloader is locked, most part of the people don't even know what that is but, a bad camera no one wants.
I'm in the same situation. I've got a Galaxy Nexus but I hate the grainy screen and lack of expandable memory. I'm just gonna order the LG 4X and try it out. If I don't like it I can always send it back. The lack of custom rom development is a bit worrying.

The 4X's screen is superb, but the Galaxy Nexus' one didn't seem that bad. Expendable memory is one thing, but the encrypted bootloader results in zero development for this device. LG doesn't care, they earn their money with fridges and TVs and it seems they blow out new mobile phones every month.

I'm pretty sure I got one with a duff screen. But I bought it in Malaysia and I'm now in London.
I've been flashing custom roms weekly since 2006 so It might be a fun challenge to not flash a custom rom for a whole year or two.
DONT
wait for the new nexus *thats what im doing*
probably gonna go with the new htc dlx or optimus nexus 4
The 4x hd is great even the camera doesn't seem to be an issue at all. And I even kept the 4x as my daily driver sold the s3 one x and even didn't keep my note and note 2. This phone offers the best boom for the buck and it does everything the one x does and the screen seems nicer on the 4x then the screen on the s3. And this device is very good looking. The it seems smaller then the s3 actually. I didn't had one issue with this phone and battery seems pretty decent. Specially if u install the quad gear box app for the phone. Is specially for the 4x it seems to make it even last a tab longer. All in all a great device. Yes lack of Roms is a downer but the installed software performs quite nice. Other then before on lg phones.

Ive had both and the Nexus is my favorite by far. Both a great phones, but having the latest Android OS edges the Nexus above the 4X HD.

I've had the galaxy nexus.HTC one x and sgs3 this year alone and think the LG 4x is the best.had problems with all the other devices but none with this.only problem with the 4x is future software updates.

Thats what I was thinking too. It is a great device and I have nothing bad to say about it.

This device won't get any updates so I would stick with the Nexus.

Dead pixel

Is there any way to manually fix a dead pixel?
Edit: to clarify, I am talking about a dead pixel on my new N7, not my Photon.
Outdated yet young Motorola Photon 4G

Try one of those pixel fixer apps in the Play Store. They strobe the whole screen or just an area and try to wake the pixel. if that wont work you should just exchange it if possible. I remember some LCDs i used to have could be fixed with light pressure on the spot, but since the touch panel is in the way there is not much you can do.
some of the apps(Hav not tested them):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...EsImNvbS5odGMuY2hyaXMuYmxhY2tzcG90ZGV0ZWN0Il0.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5waXhlbGZpeGVyLm1haW4iXQ..
I can't send it back, but it will annoy me only slightly if I can't fix it. But I will eventually get over it if I can't.

If the Pixel is a solid color (green, red, ETC) it is simply a stuck pixel. Sometimes they recover on their own. My Nexus 7 has 4 of them, as well as a neat screen defect where the top and bottom of the navigation bar has a horizontal line which shows up as 2 black lines when its in portrait mode. I would highly advise against putting any pressure on the screen to try and get rid of it, these screens crack very easy.
Take a photo of your dead pixel please.
On my Motorola Defy i had 2 Times lots of dead Pixels, I put it in the Freezer for 12 Hours and they were gone, lots of people used this technique on the Defy, but on the Nexus 7 im not sure if you can do this because you can't remove the battery etc.

It's a light green. So hopefully it is just a stuck pixel.

I think apps on the playstore only fixes stuck pixel. Dead pixel and stuck pixel are actually two different things. As far as I know, the former can't be fixed because well, they are dead. The latter sometimes can be fixed though..

Considering sending my One back to Amazon. Anyone want to talk me out of it?

I'm finding that I don't love my HTC One. (I LOVED my Samsung Galaxy SII once I discovered rooting and flashing.) I did not go with the SG4 due to the locked bootloader but now I'm wondering if I made a mistake. I've read that a lot of ROMs can be flashed (using Loki exploit if you're not on newest bootloader). I'm still anxious about getting stuck with AT&T bloatware and touchwiz but I'm leaning towards sending the One back. I need reassured that I won't grow to hate the HTC One.
Issues:
Not loving the camera.
HATE lack of menu button (using TeaMSeven kernel to get logo to menu but this option seems to be generally missing. How can that be? Why have a nonfunctional button?!!!)
HATE no SD card. Phone is already full.
Not a big fan of the slippery aluminum case. Currently have an otterbox but find it bulky (will be for sale cheap if I send the One back!)
Phone seems a little tall and narrow due to screen size + speakers. (LOVE the sound!!!)
Otherwise seems ok. I loved my HTC Aria (until it crapped out) so I think if I was stuck with stock if rather have htc. Still, it sounds like I can get the sg4 and have hopes of custom roms.
What do you think? Anyone know both phones and have advice? Anyone think I've missed some great features of the htc one?

I have used the SG4 and had no problems with it (stock)
Their is also the LG G2 and Moto X or a Nexus 5 to choose from The One is not for everyone, but it's the best phone I have ever owned for Rom development and all around variety (Sense - CM11 - AOSP - Miui - GPE ) good luck finding anything like that on another device.

I found the S4 to be cheap, unreliable and ugly. I'd rather wait for the S5, HTC one 2, or an iPhone (uhg). Tho I feel the nexus is a very good alternative to the HTC One, having a decently OK camera and having a very nice price point. If you'd take a look at the HTC One and any other device, stock, you'd find that sense UI looks so much better, more professional than mostly any other phone on the market. Build quality is some what like an iPhone or even better and you can't go wrong with the fact that HTC actually updates its devices quite fast comparing to the other OEMs (apart from nexus). HTC also optimizes the software for the phone, unlike the S4 where touchwiz is basically ploped on and forgotten about or if Samsung really cared they'd at least make it a little more professional-looking. Samsung has an octa core 1.9 GHz processor (quad for us) yet the HTC One only has 1.7 GHz quad, tho the htc one still mostly beats the S4 by a ton in real world applications. Heck I've got mine down to 1.1 GHz and its still flying. So I would say keep the htc one and just do some minor mods than wasting your money buying a S4
Happy Flashing from the proud owner of a HTC One.

And for the case of custom roms... You will never find a more extensive and wide range of Roms that can even come close to comparing what the HTC One forum has, HTC one has the best developers working on making great Roms and mods and etc here and I think that our development is probably almost as good as the hammerhead's. Best part of xda is the HTC One forum to me

Seasonal Boot Screen

Whats the likelihood that Motorola pushes out those seasonal boot screens to the Nexus?
Motorola did it for the Moto X and I thought it was very cute and nostalgic.

0%, since it's Nexus
You could always use any boot animation you want. If they push one to the moto x just move the files into the right folders, set permissions and you're good.

New life for a dead screen Moto G

Hi I have a Moto G with the screen totaly broken but I'd like to give it a new life maybe ip cam or something like that.
Unfortunately the screen is broken and the phone isn't either root or twrp or anything.
I'd like to use the phone throught an mirroring app like [email protected]
Is it possible to root the phone without the screen and how ?
And do you have any idea what to do with that kind of device (server or something) ?
Thanks in advance
Does it boot into bootloader? If yes, using cf-autoroot and adb you can!
