Only one updated kernel we have is CoCore, so it is best one. ROM, maybe HarshJelly/SamiOS for stock, or some CM (I think CM10.1 is most stable of all we have for now).

I used thunderzap 4.1 with jellymod 4.1 and was pretty dissapointed cuz games were not smooth...I will try Roms u mentioned...

[KERNEL] DookMatt 2.2.2 kernel with optimized OC and LG Lagfix

This is my kernel based on 2.2.2 kernel released by LG! This kernel has LG touchscreen fix and I've added OC from HERE, ext4 and btrfs support (btrfs is experimental) and VPN support (tun.ko module).
If you would like to use this kernel: http://www.multiupload.com/H3HQT7WMSY
Do not forget to make nandroid backup first.
Packaged in koush's anykernel for compatibility with any rom.
PS: Thanks to Mik_os for his patience
PPS: With my kernel I managed to use 806Mhz and it's works very well and it's stable for my phone.
Could you define optimised OC? How is it different from the OC supported by other kernels.
Thanks.

I used a new patch and this one, modify only 2 kernel files!
I can go up to 806MHz, which is really the top frequency my phone can handle. And amazingly enough, the cpu spike isn't there What changes did you make?
Work like a charm, but lack insteractive mode in setcpu and when you put it in power mode it stay at max freq. Thanks for your work buddy.
hope you include this on your next ROM release.... more power to you sir!
Dook - is it the same updated OC code that Mik used in his latest 2 builds ?

Arrrrgh this does not contain any of the patches needed by Gingerbread to function at least remotely fine .
Tried this kernel with LOLv1.2(froyo2.2) ROM,,Doesnt even stand up to SIppolo's super optimised kernel..After flashing this rom, phone got a little slower but like u said no more cpu spikes !!! THnx for posting

so this actually worked? would flash and and test it on some games. and would post my feedback after. Thnx!

is it just for 2.2 or is 2.2.2 affected?
Can I flash this kernel into my AmberHome ROM (2.2)?
it has so small transitions in speed like from 600Mhz u cud scale upto 645Mhz..I like this
EDIT: yes u can check it out on any rom..It will work on any rom as it is packages like koush's style

Here is the page you can find almost all ROMs, including those for stock kernel. It's all sorted by versions of Android OS (from Donut to ICS)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1425240
I personally use PRIME HD 6.0 by Haka (Gingerbread 2.3.7)
It's fast, smooth, reliable, got lots of free RAM and you have GingerDX options in it.
or use GingerDream also a good soft with good results
why so ginger?
froyo is great for stock kernel and it has best stock-kernel performance!

its bcoz like having now ubuntu 8.04. Has no new improvements. all new mods work for GB not Froyo
Personally: LewaOS v4 (found somewhere in general section ) or www.xperiasite.pl pretty fast no bugs awesome ui
I would also recommend you try using either GingerDX or PrimeHD. Both offer great performance without much unnecessary apps pre-installed where sometimes it gets the phone laggy or slow.

I used PrimeHD now. Before I try GingerDX, GingerElite, PetrukHD and many. But I like PrimeHD.
For performance, try froyopro

aha ok i see
i did them all but still no sio ... installed scripts but no sio
should i uninstall the original script ?
Not sure but i remember something about lmk causing issues. Could be wrong but maybe try that on default.
I'm running slim ics 3.6, semaphore 1.1.1sbm but with everything default and am happy. Been using semaphore/slim ics combo for a month or so with no force closes at all.

You know, that question is a bit like asking "what is the healthiest dinner?" and expect to get to same answer from everyone.
Different roms are more stable for certain usage. That said, AOKP roms are most stable for me, I've had no issues at all on infinitum.
Non ics roms would be Darky 9.5, rock solid with working call recording. This is pretty widely recognized as a very stable rom.

i set it to smartass but still no sio ... not a big deal ok ...
but all these is from smerphone app ... when you go to nstools there is much less option & the highest cpu is 1000mhz
mean while in smerphone you can get it up to 1300 mhz but as soon you leave the apps it goes back to 1000 ... but every other setting stay as i choose ... & when you try to make the profile default as your profile the phone completely shut down
so i did as most of people think which is the fastest ... but still 2 things i cant do
sio
highest cpu ( 1300 ) am stuck with (1000 )

I probably would not go for this older version, OK it has higher OC and so runns probably faster if it runs at all.
If you really want to take a OC kernel from Hellmanor I would go for one of those:
Download Adagio 0.1a - Stable version - http://d-h.st/cCW or/and
Download Adagio 0.1a - Stable version HIGH VOLTAGE - http://d-h.st/Uck
There is just this problem when somebody makes a ROM he probably wants a lot of ppl to use it and when you use a OC kernel that some ppl can't even get to run it's not to good. But yes speek with Hellmanor maybe he makes a version of his kernel with no or lower OC for the ROM and when that works they can always try a other version with higher OC.

Well I am using Toccata 0.3 and it is unbelievably smooth and very battery efficient (phone goes in deep sleep after 5secs) also the governors he implemented and the freq table used are good too!
I recommend you try Adagio 0.1a High Voltage

We can try different kernels available (StrongAccord, ZG or whatever). Later we can feedback which one works best. Later you can release a patch if you want.
By the way, there is a new V30c released by LG. Feedback is good, see if you can integrate...Thanks
ok now hellmanor made me a kernel with these specs based on v30c

Personall I like white UI :/ It's what makes Lg stad out somehow in terms of ICS
Btw having smartassv2 and conservative in the kernel would be great! conservative for screen off (set in setcpu) and smartassv2 is more battery efficient than ondemand... And why no blue leds I don't really mind but... it makes our OB looks like any other Android phones lol

It has to be the "JBX" kernel, lucize has decided to remove this file from his post for some reason, I've attached it to this post. It's based off dtrail's JBX kernel for the motorola RAZR, you can flash that kernel to the device too but I found the radio signal level would read wrong, so I have always used this one.

You need to be rooted and have a recovery installed like TWRP / safestrap, you install that kernel zip just as you install a third party ROM through recovery. If you just want GPU overclock don't bother, the increase from 307 to 384mhz only increases GPU performance by maybe 5%, it's purposely set to 307mhz stock because the GPU is bottlenecked elsewhere (ie: memory bandwidth), 384mhz increases battery drain and heat without much performance gain.

After much testing I could only get 1391mhz 100% stable, regardless of voltage settings. Could get 1.5ghz to benchmark, but never fully stable. It does speed up the phone quite a bit, but the biggest improvement is simply using a debloated ROM with every APK removed that you can.
