Android loop - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently installed Viper One on my HTC One and all was well until I made some changes to the lockscreen in the Viper Tweaks area. My phone shut down unexpectedly and now that I finally got it to boot up I get this message when the phone attempts to turn on "Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped." I click OK but I cannot get into the phone to reboot into recovery as nothing on the phone works and the message comes up again and again when I press OK. Any suggestions on how to restore my backup?! Help!

Wrong section. You can turn off the phone and press power + volume down to get to the bootloader and there you'll have an option to get to recovery

Yep power off by holding power+vol down for about 10 seconds
then release power and continue to hold Vol down.
once your in recovery just flash the rom again and choose not to keep the viper tweaks

Please help ... stuck Htc ONE when installing ARHD 9.4

Please help me ... my Htc One remain stuck at this point when i try to install ARHD 9.4 and i can't do nothing ...
That's a problem with AROMA installer which it mentions in the ARHD FAQ.
Reboot back into recovery to flash again and try using the volume keys to move through the options and power button to select the options. This worked for me when it froze on me

Hold down the power button for about 20-30 seconds and it should power off (this acts the same as a battery pull). If that doesn't work, try holding power + volume down for 20-30 seconds. If that doesn't work either then I think you'll have to wait for the battery to run out unfortunately.

Hold your phone under a bright light (like a light bulb or something) and hold power + volume down until it reboots or turns off. It usually works with this crash.

It's not ARHDs fault your phone crashed. It's a problem with AROMA, the installer that installs most/all? Sense-based ROMs so you would probably get crashes with any ROM. Just don't use the touch screen, instead use the volume and power buttons to navigate around the options and be patient. Some people get 5 or more crashes when trying to install ROMs.

Not really - it depends what you're looking for. I've ran ARHD, TrickDroid and Renovate - they're all great and stable ROMs but there are also others - you should read about all the ROMs and just choose one, if you don't like it just flash another.
Also, it's nice to click the Thanks if someone helps you :good:
Yes my phone is stuck again when i want to use aroma ... this time i tried to instal renovate rom )) and i only use physical keys
Use the latest twrp recovery and pause for 3-5 secs before making a selection, also try avoiding using the touch screen. I have used these tips, and aroma has not frozen on me for the last 15-20 flashes.

[Q] Screen not responding to touch in TWRP 2.5

Hello. I installed the TWRP 2.5 to get s-off, and finally got inside it. Now I have a really big problem, as the TWRP doesn't let me click (touch) on the phone. In other words, the touch is not responding. I'm stucked in the lock screen of the TWRP that says "swipe to unlock". It doesn't let me restart the phone... any ideas to solve it? If only the battery was removable...:crying:
thanks.

yea that would happen to me too with 2.6.0.0. hitting the back button will let you unlock but it will then ask to swipe to unlock for anything else. try to start to hold power button at the lock screen hit the back button and unlock and see if it turns off after 30 seconds.

do you think if it goes out of battery, I would be able to charge it and then open bootloader or just normal OS?

yea when it runs out of battery and you let it charge a bit you should be able to turn it back on normally (as long as you have a working system) or to bootloader. i would recommend replacing the recovery first though

That IS stock recovery.
if you want to get to the menu, I believe you have to simultaneously press POWER + VOL UP + VOL DOWN briefly (you're probably gonna have to try a few times to get the timing correct.

yeah any time in stock recovery (green or red), you may need to try several times to get to the menu (like the other post I linked)
Well, thanks to this post I entered the recovery.
I made a lot of combinations until I got the good one. You have to press VOL UP + VOL DOWN buttons together and a half second later press power button. :good:
I'm at this point and I get this quick error message then the phone reboots. What am I missing? I'm stock on my way to root. I'll see if I can catch that error message. Oh, it happens when I try to do the 'install from phone' option, or card, I tried both and I get rebooted as described.
Okay, something about 'check id failed' and more but it comes and goes so fast. One more time...
Okay, "invalid operation... rebooting...". Also, before all that it says something about missing cw file too.

It was life saving for me Bro . I had no idea whatsoever to solve this. If you Don't mind, i have a kind of tricky question here, i had gone back to my stock rom that is sense 5.5 with android 4.3 because i liked the camera feature (the slow motion option and the sequence shot and the group photo edit, i really loved it:victory which is missing after the OTA update to sense 6 and android 4.4. Is there anyway i can retain those stock camera features, hope you understand what i mean. It would be very grateful if it is possible. Thanks in advance, and thanks again for saving me from the recovery issue.

No man, it's not possible, it's just possible to download an old stock rom with Android 4.3 and Sense 5.5 to have the camera app back, otherwise there is no any other option.
i cnt do it...can u explain????

Not normal.
Sometimes, installation fails. Not often, but sometimes it gets stuck at 0%.
You just have to repeat the installation sequences from the beginning. Everything will be ok.
