Hi there,
I've only just purchased my htc one and am quite new to flashing roms etc so sorry if this is a really obvious question. I've unlocked the boot loader and rooted and installed android 4.4 kitkat sense 5.5 stock rom (currently the first rom on htconeroot)
I've been doing some googling as the power button really annoys me and i've seen that it may be possible to use the htc logo (or the volume rocker) to wake my phone. Is this possible using the rom I have? If so, how would I go about doing it?
Thanks!

Great, thanks. Can you recommend one? Sorry, i'm really new at this. Also, I have twrp 2.6.3.3 will that be okay to flash with. Is it the same process as installing the rom? Thanks again!

I was wondering if this was the HTC one international section of xda? And I also have the att version of the HTC one and was wondering if I could flash the international Roms/recoveries, with 0 problems. If so please tell me without being mean. I'm coming from an s4 and I'm just a little confused. Because I never had to flash roms from other carriers than att. Thanks for any help.

Yeah, you can use the twrp of the One (i advice the 2.6.3.3) and some roms are compatible, for example the ViperOne is compatible is the best rom (for me) on xda

Like I said thanks guys! I'm not new to rooting I'm just new to this whole att phone using foreign phone firmware! I just thought I'd ask before jumping right in! Thanks again

I previously had a custom rom in which I could use the HTC logo as a menu and screen on/off button, also the led from the home and back buttons would light up in lieu of notifications. I went back stock because I was tired of the rom file sizes and the amount of time it takes to download and transfer to phone. I said All that to ask if there is a way I can get that functionality back on stock. Also my phone is still S off and rooted.

Yes. You can flash any ROM now - regardless of region. Doesn't matter if it's CM11, GPE, SENSE, AOKP etc.
The CID number determines what region the phone was bought in, and will only allow other ROMs or OTAs from that region to be flashed to the phone. Now that you've made your phone super cid it means you've no limits to what ROMs you can flash.
This is in layman's terms though, since I'm no developer. Hope I've made some kind of sense.

Oh yeah that's very easy. I dint think you would of needed super cid but it's good to have.
Just flash a recovery from the boot loader and copy the GPe rom to your phone and flash!

Hey guys i just rooted my HTC Vivid and when i go to install a custom rom which was the CM10 Nightly rom it would get stuck on the cynagen boot logo. Also im using TWRP 2.6 just to let you know. I rooted with superuser 1.25. Thanks please if you can give me a step by step tutorial i would really appreciate it! If you can give me a custom rom link as well! Thanks!
Did you do a full wipe? Data, cache, dalvik all need to be wiped. Did you unzip the ROM and make a copy of the boot.img file and flash it in fastboot? Are you s-off or s-on?

Before posting an 'I have a problem' thread... You should read...
The boot.img and the WiFi drivers are linked... If you don't flash the kernel... Your WiFi will never work...
It says so on EVERY OP for EVERY ROM...
Please stop only reading the first 2 sentences of the OP and read the whole thing... I am truly getting sick of people asking the same damn questions for over 2 years...

There is a 'superguide' provided by slapshot in the dev threads I think... He goes into GREAT detail... About how to deal with all of this...
It would be better to read that instead of the Reader Digest version I would spit out here...

Alright rignfool. If you can still help me I would gladly appreciate it. I recently flashed the kitkat 4.4 rom and whenever I'm for example listening to music on this app called rocketplayer and I go to the homescreen it switches the music input from the headphones to the internal phone speaker. I also tried out a different app but it was the same problem. Furthermore, whenever I used the built in app which is apollo it says dsp manager has stopped working and then says you can blame the split screen. Ofcourse, the split screen isnt designed for the Htc Vivid that I have but how do i stop the problem that im having?

Hi
I'm trying to test a ROM out and I'm coming by something I've never seen before. It goes through the aroma with no errors and everything appears to install correctly. I go to first boot the rom and others past the splash screen then it goes black. It doesn't seem to boot the rom. I flashed an soap rom to test and make sure that I could still flash rims and it works fine. I go back to test my rom and it does the same thing. It's based on 7.19.401.2 and I'm using 7.17.1540.22 firmware on my m7 Dev ed. Any ideas
Thanks

You said that AOSP roms are working fine, did you tried other roms based on 7.19.401.2? Is your rom using the stock kernel of 7.19.401.2 or a custom one? I had many problems booting custom kernels (like ElementalX) when using the 7.xx.1540.x firmware, reverted to 7.19.401.x firmware and everything was fine. So maybe a kernel problem, might also worth to try another twrp version like 2.6.3.3

sorry for late reply, to flash the .401 firmware on your phone you can simply open the firmware.zip and modify the android-info.txt file so that your MID and CID is included in the list. Better to use notepad++. The other option is to change your phone MID and CID so they match the android-info.txt (PN0710000 and HTC__001)

So it might be a problem with your rom. I can't really help your more, I never built or ported a rom (I'm not a dev). Might want to ask another dev or compare your rom with another similar one based on 7.19.401.2 that works fine when flashed to your phone.
Sorry
