C6606 Qs - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently got a C6606 T-Mobile branded Xperia Z. It is network unlocked though I am on T-Mobile. It is running the 10.3.1.E.0.191 Android 4.2.2 factory ROM.
Got a couple questions.
Firstly, I would love to root it. Nothing seems to be working. From my reading rooting this ROM is hit or miss. Any tips?
Second, I am assuming the stock ROM is odexed.
I would also like a camera app or addon that will give me full manual mode on the camera. Any out there that will work on a stock ROM?
If I change my customization to that of the international C6603 and install a 4.3 ROM will I lose the LTE and have to use the *#*#INFO#*#* menu to re-enable it or will I be SOL?
Any good guides on installing ROMs? Can I install a custom ROM with a locked bootloader?

[Q] [Republic Wireless] is there any hope of Flashing roms?

Does anyone know if it will be possible to flash a new Rom on the Republic Wireless version of the Moto X? or is a Rooted stock rom with Xposed the only real option?
Has there been any progress towards getting the stock Rom's source, or is there a good way to flash back to stock if things go badly?
It seems like the Republic Wireless app runs as a service and updates via the play store. It is likely that RW has made customizations to the rom to support the wifi/cell handoff, but maybe it's all rolled up in the RW app???
Once you get root you should be able to dump the rom so that you can revert if things go badly...

[Q] Help with mobile data

Hello everyone,
So recently, on a trip to my home in India my sister requested that we exchange phones. I gave her my HTC phone and took her Xperia Z. Now I'm back in Dubai and I noticed that the carrier internet is not working on the phone and I'm relying on wifi all the time. I've had experience with rooting and custom roms with my previous HTC and Samsung devices but rooting, unblocking bootloaders for sony was new to me. Anyway, I unblocked my bootloader and rooted the phone yesterday. I installed a custom Stock 10.4.B.0.569 rom by drummerjed this morning hoping to solve the issue. Everything works, except mobile internet. I'm thinking of installing cyanfox rom next to see if anything changes. Kind XDA members, please advice me if I can flash cyanfox (cm based rom) on top of a stock based rom?? Also other solutions for the mobile internet problem are welcome. Should I be flashing different basebands (radios) instead of roms? Do different roms come with different basebands? I do not have a preference for the different kinds of roms available. Just want everything working on the phone. Thanks.
Have you tried downloading the internet settings?
Settings -> Wireless and networks -> More... -> Internet settings.

Which Version? 757?
Which Provider? No Matter what, unbranded or for my Proivider: Vodafone DE

[Q] Baseband and custom roms

Hi all. New to Z1, but have a lot of experience developing for Xperia ION.
I have a boot loader unlocked Z1 6903. The question is: when I properly install a custom rom, such as Slimkat weekly, does it come with its own baseband, or stock 4.4 baseband stays. I find gsm signal weaker than in stock. If that's the case (their own baseband), can I safely flash with flash tool stock baseband only excluding everything else. I have done that numerous times on Xperia ION, but am not sure it will work on Z1. Thanks in advance.

No idea actually if it will work. On the 2011 Xperia phones - You could flash various basebands and corresponding basebands libraries, and maybe if we could find the place / files that is corresponding to the equal libs on 2013 line-up - things would be much easier!

Sorry there's nothing to present you the requirements you have described. You can stay on the stock ROM if you would like. If you still want to use a 4.4 ROM, expect to not see Bravia, XLoud, ClearPhase. LED Notification will still work, obviously.
