I have a 32GB HTC One with C Spire Wireless. It is also CDMA with the designation m7_wls. My question is, can you flash Sprint ROMS on another CDMA One and still retain carrier files for data, 4G, voice calls etc? I haven't owned a HTC product in quite some time and I am used to nothing but Samsung flashing procedures. I know that others on XDA with C Spire HTC One's have used the Sprint files for rooting and for flashing custom recoveries without issue but does this also work with ROMS? Currently there are no nandroids, C Spire RUU files or update.zips available to C Spire users. Back in the day when I used the HTC Hero and Samsung Galaxy S, all the ROMS I used were based off Sprint. Any assistance is appreciated.

I have the same problem. I to have the HTC one (cspire) & seems we have been left out
of the htc one support. I do have mine unlocked & rooted. I want to get s-off
by rumrunner, but have to have a dedicated internet connection for it to work .
Sprint roms should work, just a matter of changing the APN. i will be trying it soon
as I get s-off & also maybe with s-off I can save apn settings..

Let me know how it goes. One of the things that I was concerned about was that HTC should be releasing a 4.4 OTA soon and from what I've heard, you need the stock recovery to get the OTA. Since there isn't a flashable stock recovery for C Spire users, I don't see how we will be able to return to stock and update. I walked in to C Spire with my mind set on the Galaxy S4, partly because of it's very active development community, but when I went in the store and held the HTC One, I knew I had to have it. I knew when I got this phone there was little to no development for it, but I was very impressed with the phone. Maybe after a few months some new things will pop up

Do not flash any sprint roms!!!, back in September last year, i foolishly did this and to this day i am still trying to find the correct rom, i did not make a back-up i know that was stupid, i would hate to see you guys make the same mistake. the phones are the same model but very different. the sprint rom constantly reboots, I have tried dozens of roms, they all had the same outcome, i dream of the day when i can get this phone to work. Brings me to my question, do you think any of you guys can upload a nandroid back, i would be grateful.
I am not rooted, completely stock. But if I decide to root, I will upload a backup

I will be glad too as soon as I can get to a decent wifi connection.
I live in the country & my only connection is my phone here & don't get out much
As soon as I get to my daughter's to do the s-off, I will upload it. It's 1.79gb, kinda big
with all the cspire stuff. Sure wish I could do it now for you. You may have

your carrier without s-off, plus the changeing the apn. Will be thinking of how to get it uploaded.

if you are using twrp recovery, under backup uncheck everything but boot. its about 17 MB, that should work.

So in theory, C Spire users can flash Sprint Roms so long as we include some specific C Spire files in the Rom?

The HTC one is no different. Uses the same exact model. Even the radios are exactly the same.

As far as I'm aware the **tampered** flag is there in the same spirit as the yellow triangle on Samsung devices, exactly so they can tell you've unlocked and modified it. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is currently a method such as with triangleaway to get rid of this on the One yet. You'll just have to chance it and send it back as is

RUU
If you download and the One's RUU from HTC's website, it erases the tampered. I discovered this when I had to restore my device to stock with the RUU.
Should be to download the RUU, run the RUU. The bootloader needs to be relocked.
After you set set it back to factory, just unlock the bootloader and you're free to go.
If the exe version doesn't work, the fastboot version should.

Both Brightstar US listed above is the Developer Edition. The CID is BS_US001 (I think they should of used a better CID letters!!). The first one is the EXE, the other is the ZIP for the fastboot version.

Hey all,
After a couple of years away from HTC and my EVO 4G, I'm glad to be back as I just bought a HTC One. Looks like an AT&T UL variant still on HBOOT 1.44, S-ON, and 4.1.2. I know the dev devices are starting to get KitKat, and I know I want Sense 5.5 and KitKat versus AT&T bloat and AOSP senseless, so I think this means I should be thinking about converting to a Dev Ed. That said, I'd think the 4.4 update will be modified for use in other standard device ROMs pretty quickly. Is there any reason NOT to convert to a dev device based upon my inclinations above?
THANKS!!!

Imo go for dev edition or wwe, and your M7 will be bloatware free and receive ota directly from htc instead of at&t. Its a pretty easy process, but im sure you already know how to convert from what you said above. The only thing to consider imo is warranty void after unlocking bootloader
Thanks so much! I got my phone off eBay but it looks and seems to function just fine so I like my chances. No worries here about the warranty. Thanks again!

Unlock that boot loader, s-off son. (Probably revone if you're on hboot 1.44). Fastboot flash the Google edition 4.4 ruu. I promise you you will not be disappointed! Once flashed the. Fastboot flash twrp (latest) and make a backup of your stock GE 4.4.
From there you can flash any rom (sense, GE, aosp). Even from the HTC one, HTC one at&t, or other gsm HTC ones.
I don't worry about warranty. You can always lock boot loader, s-on and change cid back to stock then ruu and they never know.

Hi, I have searched and I have tried, reaching out...
Desire C Cricket HBOOT 1.63 Radio 0.92.00.0903 Unlocked Bootloader S-On
I was trying to put a recovery on and root after unlocking bootloader and for whatever reason I cannot get into any recovery other than stock. Once in stock I cannot flash anything. Only thing I could tell was previous owner had a customer kernel on it but now I cannot get past the HTC red writing screen.
Normally in this situation I would go back to stock via PL01DIA.zip update in bootloader but I cannot find a viable one for this specific device.
OK, somehow got a working CWM Recovery. But I cannot get any roms to boot past the HTC red writting screen. Does anyone out there have a full CWM backup of a working Cricket rom?

Easiest method : Read the guide.
I've had my htc one for a while, and it has been flashed quite a bit, sense roms, aosp roms, and a google edition conversion. I went to flash cm on her the other day and downloaded cm for the m7tmo, and it didn't flash until i modified the updater-script. So I was looking through all of the RUU files and almost all of them say m7ul. My first question is, is this designation part of the hboot? Secondly I bought mine from a T-mobile (U.S.) If I would have paid attention to the bootloader would it have originally said m7tmo? and if not what phones are the m7att, m7tmo etc etc roms referring to? If it was originally m7tmo, how do I get it back to that state?
Thanks in advance.

The hboot has nothing to do with if its tmo/att etc...
Now, regardless if its att/tmo it'll say m7_ul (ul being its LTE capable) otherwise im pretty sure international phones will just show an m7_l on the bootloader instead
Specifically, since i too have a tmob one, the cid should be t-mob010 (it'll say this in the bootloader, unless you had changed to supercid before).
So your phone is still "tmobile", I believe the 'm7tmo' naming by cm is just a way for the rom makers to label the rom for whatever phone its for.
Excellent Smithers. Thank you.

can someone plz clear few things up for me..i know this,if i have super cid and i do..i can upgrade my firmware with non harmon version or the h.k version..but when it comes to flashing roms from the att or the tmobile or international threads im bit confused...as long as i have cid set tpo super cid can i jus proceed flashing the rom like i normally would in the sprint section ??or do i need to change the cid to att cid number before flashing there roms?or do i jus leave thecid set to super cid?i have yet to try another carrier's rom cause im still uncertain on exactly how to do so..i dont understand why we need roms ported over to the sprint section if all we need to do is change cid to super cid and flash away..surely im missing something ...i have super cid now and the htc m8 sprint h.k phone sprint phone....can i just go to any carriers development threads and choosewhat ever rom i want?..man i hope so cause that opens the door to soo much..i relize this is a newbie question and if not posted in the correct secrtion on xda id prolly be banned for good..lol..but i am in correct section so plz be easy on me
Well you could flash other roms but unless their files have been set up for sprints network you won't be able to do much there are still other differences as well between each rom for each carrier

Well you'd also have to make sure the partitions are set up correctly as well as you could end up with boot loops or worse ie: android revolution 22.1 will boot directly into bootloader unless you use a correct sprint kernel that allows for it to boot. If anything try using bad boyz rom and apply their sim unlock method. (provided your using a sprint phone internationally)
