[Q] Enable screenshot button (in power menu) - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am using maclaw's cm 10.2 (release 20140108). I can't find the option in system settings to add a screenshot button onto the power menu (the menu that pops up when you long press power button). How can I enable it?

Maybe you can find it in the developers settings. At least that's where I've found it.

[Q] remap search button to APP_SWITCH not working

quick question, i'm on zeus 7.01 ROM, trying to modify every file in the system/usr/keylayout/, and change Key 217 (which is search button) to APP_SWITCH.. I wanted my search button to launch the recent apps window..
But after rebooting, seach button doesn't do anything.. Am I doing something wrong? or maybe the code APP_SWITCH is wrong? many thanks!
+1 i need it too

I'm having the same problem on CM10. Can change all the other buttons except the search.
Anyone knows how to solve this?
Try to disable the app Google search. If Google search is active, it overrides the key config

Would that be a good idea? Wouldn't it disable many other functionalities on the device?
I've disabled Google Search and I didn't notice difference (but I didn't used Google Search that way). Now, if I press the search button, doesn't do anything... But if I press in an app like Go SMS Pro, it open the search.
Try to disable, you can enable it any time you want...
I'm currently using IZS 4.0.4 rom by heuxxx.
The app_switch perfectly works but it is the old recent app and not ICS style.
I can not achieve this in CM 10 4.1.2 stable.
Regarding the Google search.
I used to disable it, but I decided to uninstall it.
The search function is still working in apps that has it. Ex: boat browser, solid explorer
There are some apps that can be launched by long pressing the search button. Ex: quick utility
Until now, I'm still looking for an app other than Google search that can be launched by the search button (one click, not long press).
But no luck.

How did you manage to make the search button to app_switch? Can you send me the file? Thanks!

I think it depends on the ROMs.
I have tried CM7, CM10, CM10.1, Jellybam, and Zeus 7.
None of them worked for the app_switch.
The only ROM that has worked for me was IZS 0.4 ICS.
Basically, I just changed EVERY "217 SEARCH" into "217 APP_SWITCH" from ALL the .kl files in /system/usr/keylayout
But beware, you'll lose the vibration on the search button when you do this.
I'm still looking for a solution for this.
Again, it only worked for me in IZS 0.4 ICS ROM by heuxxx and all the other ROMs that I have tried did not work.

Multiwindow for CyanogenMod!

Hello everyone. I was searching this for a day. And i found a working one. I tried it with cyanogenmod and it's working perfectly.
First you need xposed installer. Download it from here . Install it,open it , install framework and reboot.
Then you need 2 apks. First one is modded halo. Download it from here . Second one is XHaloFloatingwindow. Download it from here . Install halo and xhalofloatingwindow. Then open xposed installer, touch modules , enable xhalofloating window and reboot. It's done. Then open halo ,pin apps and start it. Then go XHaloFloatingWindow and enable moveble&resizable . Last thing you need is a app switcher. My favourite is this . But you can what you want. It's done happy multitasking :victory:
Thank you but i don't really understand how to use it, i can't have 2 windows at the same moment, can you explain ?

I don't know maybe it's rom problem. Just touch apps in notifications bar and it will open in window mode. (if you pinned in HALO)
works great! thank you.

I can confirm, too!!
If you don't want to see a lot of notification in your notification bar there is a way for it. First you need notification toggle pro. Download and install haloshortcut from link. Then open notification toggle , add an app, in shortcuts tab select haloshortcut, touch select app ,select an app and touch create shortcut. You can add what you want. And it isn't take space in your notification bar.

Sorry for my bad english
I tried xposed and I only need xhalofloatingwindow, if you configure open halo in recent apps with long press, you don't need halo)) or any troggle. It' great :highfive:

[4.3] Hiding Navigation Bar?

Hi fellow SP users,
I recently updated to 4.3, and I´m more than happy, all is just great.
Straight to the point, is it possible in 4.3 to hide the navigation bar on demand like it was on 4.1.2?
I used Gravity Box for it, but it seems either I´m too stupid to set it up correctly (yep module is checked) or it´s simply not working anymore.
Any ideas on this?
I´m using 4.3 Existenz 2.0

1. Installed Xposed Installer (enabled it, rebooted)
2. Downloaded GravityBox (enabled in modules from xposed installer, rebooted)
3. went to "Screen Modifications (or something related to the desktop/screen(
4. selected "expanded Desktop" and ticked "hide Navbar"
now when I long pressed the power button, a screen appeared that gave me option to disable expand desktop or enable it
well, I guess it´s related to the custom menu on the new existenz rom, it won´t let modify an app this menu.
that´s why I already asked in niabocs thread, but he not replied to me yet
hope that helped

Enable gravity box then go to Display Tweaks -> Expanded desktop mode = Hide navigation bar -> close gravitybox and press power(The menu that you close your phone or you reboot it) and theres a new selection called Expanded Desktop -> Click it and is ON!...

Well, I tried exactly that.
it doesn´t appear. it worked on 4.1.2 existenz rom 1.3.7
now nothing happened on existenz 2.0, android 4.3
did it work for you from existenz rom?
EDIT:
Nevermind, I think the "xperia xposed module" and gravity box are not working together
removed xposed and it appeared!
thanks for the headsup

I believe that is impossible. It is upto the app developer's choice to include the three-dot menu in the app or not.

CM11 HeadsUP Notification for calls

hi guys i had maclaw's cyanogenmod 11 rom for a while then i changed to android andi slimkat and one of the things i enjoyed about it was the headsup mode for calls. it works like this : when u get a new call and the screen is on (u are doing something on ur phone) the call doesnt block the whole screen, instead there is a popup that u can choose to put away. i wanted to know is there something like that in thisCM11 that i missed? coz im lookin for reasons to go back to it
thx anyway

Do you mean the heads up notification which CM11 has it in settings > notification? If yes, it's simple to bring it back to SlimKat because all Android 4.4 based roms have this feature.
You will need Xposed framework to enable this feature, download it from xposed website. If you downloaded it and installed the framework should you see in the app a section "download" open it and search for "Heads Up notification". Then install it and reboot your phone.

thanks but u got me wrong slimkat has a feature that i like to know if i can have that same feature on cyanogenmod 11. on slimkat when someone calls and your screen is on (you are working on your phone) the call doesnt go full screen, it just pops up like a headsup notification so u can choose to ignore it.
can i have that in cyanogenmod 11 too ?
