I9305 Knox bootloader 4.3 to 4.1.2 - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

Hi
I just want to know if i can flash 4.1.2 I9305XXBLL3 to 4.3 knox bootloader
I didn't like 4.3 and i want 4.1.2
I don't care about knox 0x1

For now, I don't think that you can flash back to stock 4.1 after flashing stock 4.3 knok. You will brick your phone.
Why don't you go for custom Rom instead of stock rom. Kitkat 4.4.2 is quite good.

That Knox thing really sucks. I just got my phone and after I switched it on I just accepted the 4.3 update. Had I kown I would have refrained from doing so... Let's just hope some great dev will come up with a workaround...

1. Xxlsa is not a stock rom. It's a leak. 4.0.4 is a stock rom
2. If it's running xxlsa it could be root d as well. Can check by installing root checker or if super user or supersu is there.
3. Is cwm already there.?

[Q] XXLSA to Official Stock/Factory ROM

1. I have the International version of GT-N7000
2. All official until I manually updated to XXLSA JB 4.1.2 using Odin (I cant wait for official to come via OTA thats why)
3. Now I cant use Kies as it says it dont recognize it (you know what i mean)
4. I dont care about kies enyway.
My question is, can I,
1. Let say remove this XXLSA ROM and go back to Stock (i think its ICS or something)
2. Then I will try to update it via OTA again. where in I'll be getting the Official JB then.
3 I just want to go back all official ROM again thats it.
anyone...please help....
Flash the stock ROM via Odin.

Since I am in Dubai I assume of course I will get those from United Arab Emirates. Will any of the stocks work? Like ICS or Gingerbread? Btw this N7000 is not rooted. I just dont want to mess up. Thanks

I put the link in my post. Download the stock firmware for region and flash in Odin. Click on the link that I gave you, and read very carefully on how to do this and you will be fine.

YES, if you flash back to stock ICS, you will get official OTA again. You can also visit sammobile.com and download and flash stock JB 4.1.2 which is now available for almost every region. This will put u on stock rom and do not root if you want to get OTA update.
If I helped you please press "Thanks", and if you helped I will do the same

Actually, you can root your phone and still receive OTA updates, as long as you don't flash a custom kernel/recovery.

i checked sammobile and its surprising that all versions of my Stock ROM are from GERMANY, even though i bought my phone here in United Arab Emirates, there i saw N7000XXLPY >N7000XXLRG>N7000XXLRK>N7000XXLRQ>N7000XXLRT>N7000XXLSA which i remember all my previous ROMs and the latest one is N7000XXLSZ which im downloading now.
should i use the old version of Odin I have or it should be the latest one?

[Q] Note slowed down after upgrading to Jelly Bean.

Hello guys,
I use Galaxy Note-N7000 and the issue with my device is ever since I upgraded to Jelly Bean 4.1.2,my device has slowed down,I am now starting to think its because of Note unable to handle Jelly Bean.I even tried factory resetting and re-installing Jelly bean a couple of times, but it hasnt helped.I also see RAM consumption being very high with only a few apps on my device.
What could be slowing down my device?I was told Kernels speed up our devices, will it work?If so can you guys recommend me any good kernels and steps to install them?
I would really appreciate any help, guys. Please be kind
Thank you!
That's normal. Whether use ics or higher than 4.1.2.
It will always lag.
To flash custom kernel do it via Odin or root Your phone and install kernel from cwm.
Sent from note, a phone like never before
That's stock jb for you, it sucks. If you want jb then go for cm or paranoid.

Stock samsung jb ate bloated to the max and buggy as hell. There's no fixing it, that's just how they are. Try a custom rom for better performance on jb.

Flashing through Odin shouldn't need root, just USB debugging enabled. I have never flashed anything via goo manager, but if You will get the flashable file You will be able to flash it then. And it will change the cwm.
To download kernels just go to android development section for our service and search the forum for "kernel" in the topic. Our You can also Google "kernel n7000"

I was reading something about not being able to go back form 4.4 back to 4.3
is is true that I cant go back to 4.3 or lower if I change to 4.4, are they talking guff or is that only to do with if you have update to official stock firmware
thank you for your help in advance
Edit: ive modded my phone already tripped knox so that's not a problem. im running cm 10.1.3 stable at the mo
i assume you talk about CM11 - 4.4 - official 4.4 is not out yet...
ofc you can go back...i did it twice already...also got knox to 1(don't care)....
used OMNI ROM(4.4.2) - now on stock rooted and removed some samsung apps.

Have you flashed the stock 4.3 firmware before? If not, you don't have to care about Knox boot loader.

I was on 4.1.2 ripper rom first. Then 4.3 alliance rom and after it I tried many 4.4.2 aosp Roms. Now I wanted to go back to 4.3 and I flashed alliance rom without data wipe and it works like a charm. Maybe it's better to wipe, but for me it worked without it. Important is that you don't have Knox on your Sammy.

You will need to have unlocked bootloader first before flashing any CM roms or 4.4.2 roms
To back to original firmware just flash the pre-rooted 4.3 ROM over here
There's many kind.
I prefer you to wait for official 4.4 update as will be available next month
