Kernel for CM11 with SwypetoWake - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi folks. I was just wondering if there is a kernel supporting CM11 & containing the SwypeToWake feature?
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

[Q] CM10.2

Hi guys i'm planning to flash my I9070(Stock rom, Rooted with CoCore-EP-8.2-TWRP) to CM10.2, which CM10.2 is stable and lesser bug?
1. This one cm-10.2-20131118-UNOFFICIAL-janice.zip?
or
2. This one cm-10.2-20131025-UNOFFICIAL-janice.zip?
Thanks in advance
Usually latest builds are more stable. Search that particular thread once to be sure.

hm..
sry to dig this, came here from google and found this wrong piece of information.
pairing with a ps3 controller will work with stock 4.0.3 ICS on the p880.
it will not work with stock 4.1.2 JB.
it may work with Custom Roms, it works with CM 10.1.3.
biggest problem is that on custom ROMs like CM mhl isnt working properly, so you only get portrait orientation via mhl on your TV.
conclusion: the only ROM for the p880, that makes a playstation out of your phone and works 100% with mhl/controller, is 4.0.3 stock.
didnt test with other custom roms.

get cm11 unofficial, or any other rom with kernel from p880-dev tree, and you'll have working mhl rotation.
Yep ive seen users reporting mHL works on beanstalk with Unofficial p880-dev sources only. Just like @Flying_Bear said it SHOULD work on all roms with Unofficial sources

Interesting information. This seems to imply it is possible to have working MHL and working video recording simultaneously?

I can't seem to find any working links for the p880-dev kernel that has been packed into a zip file. I found your link in the beanstalk thread, but it seems you removed it from your dropbox.
Do you by chance have a copy of it somewhere still?

It's okay to use Williams kernel even if you're on Kitkat. As long as the ROM requires stock kernel, the Williams kernel will work as well.

Only you know your situation better than anyone else. I suggest you try out a couple of ROMs and kernel combinations and see which one works best. Also, try installing a minimal Gapps package to reduce battery consumption, such as this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2779598 .
You could also install one of the few custom kernels for XSP and underclock/undervolt it. Be cautious though.
Hit thanks if it helped! Godbless!

Choosing kernel

Hi all!
I usually don't make this kind of questions for my Phone, but i don't own an i9070. I'm asking it for my girlfriend's one.
I'm searching for a good kernel, stable as possible, with ZZmove governor, overclock and zRAM. I would like, IF POSSIBLE, to find all those things in one kernel, but for AOSP-based ROMS.
I've found this information in not all kernel OPs, then i can't discern between Samsung and AOSP based. So i'm asking here.
Can someone recommend a valid kernel for a 4.4.4 OmniROM?
Thank you in advance!

I think that you will not find one. As I remember there is only one kernel for Omni. Devs did not create moded ones for it (for I9070).

Thank you for your quick reply.
And there are no moded kernels for 4.4.4 AOSP ROMs? Can you confirm OmniROM to be the lightest and more stable ROM for i9070?

I can't confirm, because I just installed Omni 4.4, and used it for 2 days. There is one modded I think, but not sure. Look in original development section of I9070 forum part.
