i'll look into making a black/gray/white version
edit:
made it, check the attachments.
I like the dock. How do I set the center icon to be the phone application without putting another icon on top of it? I'm not sure if the issue I'm having is clear. Basically, when I assign the center button to be a shortcut to the phone, it makes me choose an icon for it. The icon I choose lays on top of the phone icon that you have in your image file. How can I fix this?
i provided an blank icon that you can pick
I downloaded the BlueDock.zip file. In it, I see 3 Images:
BlueDock.png
BlueDock_nobutton.png
screenshot_2.png
I don't see any blank icon. Am I missing something?
Also, May I suggest that instead of using a blank icon, can the colorful phone Icon be provided seperately and used on top of the noicon image? That way when you scroll through docks, the phone Icon will scroll with the other icons. Also, this would give the option of not having the phone be the center Icon on every dock.
just noticed the first zip had the wrong file in it! added now!
Where u get that wallpaper?
Nice docks, I'm using the blue one now!
Ok, so few people asked me how I placed a Banner like Icon in-place of my dock. I wanted to answer directly but thought why not share it with everyone else. So here a tutorial on how to do it.
First, this is how it looks like
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And a demo Vid
If you think its cool, then read on.
It's fairly easy, but quite tricky. Here we go.
What you need:
Launcher Pro
Banner/Icon (Template links later)
Desktop Visualizer
1. Set your home-screen row to 7 (for a 6 row home-screen setup). (This seems to be the most efficient value for me)
2. Now add a desktop visualizer 4x1 widget
3. With desktop visualizer, select your desired banner/template as your image and set the action as none (as seen on the video below)
4. Place the new widget on the bottom most part of your home-screen.
5. Now back to LPP preferences, set your home-screen row back to 6.
6. Might take long to load but there you have it, a scrolling banner on your dock.
Notes:
I believe you can use any number of homescreen rows from 4 up to 9 but I havent tested it yet and I only have a template for a 6 row homescreen.
In the video, I used a 5 column x 6 row setup opposed to the 4 x 6 setup on the tutorial to lessen the changes from stock layout.
forgot to mention, for best results, use transparent dock ang dock-shortcut icons.
Banner templates:
4x1 (right click and "save as")
5x1 (right click and "save as")
The Grey part is what the dock covers, blank part should always stay transparent. Just paste your banner over the gray part and make sure that nothing overlaps then delete the grey part entirely.
Cant seem to make youtube link to work, just click here and here to watch the vids
Thanks for the tut. You gave me an Idea on a cool homescreen. Mind sharing the text icons used on the vid?
Here is your video:
One of the things that allow human beings to perceive things in three dimensions (3D) is the depth of field. When you focus on something that is close, the objects in the background become out of focus. This lets our mind know which object is close and which is farther away, and hence capture the right dimensions for the object. It is not possible that out mind focuses both near and far objects at the same time.
With this tip, we will guide you how to make the icons on your Android phone appear more 3D by moving the background wallpaper to a more unfocused and blurred state, with the result that icons appear to float above the wallpaper.

}
The tools needed for this process are very basic: the desired wallpaper, and Adobe Photoshop Express for your Android device (we will use Photoshop Express in this guide as it is available free on Android Market, but you can use any image editor of your liking).
To begin, launch Photoshop Express and open your desired wallpaper in it. (You’ll need to uncheck ‘Show camera photos only in Phone view’ to be able to see all photos)
Next, you need to soften the image’s focus. Go to Menu > Edit Photo and select the third icon from top bar. You can soften the image by just sliding your finger across screen. The maximum it goes is till 20, which we find to be working best. However, you can set it to any value of your liking, Once you have attained the desired softness, save the image. (It will not overwrite the original but instead save as a new file)
That’s it. Set this new image as your wallpaper, and the icons will appear more 3D due to the difference in focus. The screenshot above does not do justice to it, but we tried it on Samsung Galaxy S, and the brilliant SuperAMOLED display works wonders with this technique. Give it a try on your own device and let us know how it worked for you.

Uh, this only works when you use the Tilt-Shift effect. Blurring the background only makes it look like you have a blurry background. What you did does not give the 3d effect sorry.
GLOWSTICK ICONS
These are thirteen icon packs for LauncherPro and ADW. These are all modified versions of my 3D SHINE ICONS (which are all modified versions from source icondownloads.mysitemanage.com, so I can't take all the credit). Enjoy, and PLEASE POST SCREEN SHOTS!
COLORS INCLUDED: Bubblegum, Homicide, Tangerine, Lemon, Limeade, Tha Chronic, Cyan, Blue Candy, Indigo, Grape, Moonlight, Midnight, and Ghost.
I have broken these down into 3 .zip files. PART 1: Homicide, Ghost, Moonlight, and Midnight. PART 2: Bubblegum, Cyan, Blue Candy, Indigo, and Grape. PART 3: Tangerine, Lemon, Limeade, and Tha Chronic. Each folder contains 103 icons.
SCREEN SHOTS BELOW...
INSTALL: After downloading the .zip file, go into your file manager (I prefer Linda File Manager found in the Market), locate the file and extract it... this will automatically move the .pngs to your gallery. Install to the DESKTOP of any home screen using Folder Organizer (also found in the Market) and choose "pick from gallery" when prompted. For use as DOCK icons with LauncherPro: install by longpressing on your dock, choose "apply shortcut" and choose your preferred application. Then select "choose custom icon", and finally select "pick from gallery" when prompted. The folder containing the icons will be there waiting for you. From there, scroll thru the .pngs and pick the one you want to place on your screen. Easy as sex. I mean pie.

Recently the "Metro UI" Launcher in the market has vastly improved save the fact of disappointing amounts of icons, and real proportion in relation to the actual Metro UI.
I've compiled the best white on blue icons for my use, along with full color tiles (WP7 isn't ALL blue tiles with white icons) using the "use image as background" option in the Metro UI selection interface.
To make use of these icons:
Step 1) Extract folder to Internal/External SD card on Android handset
Step 2) When Adding corresponding tile check "Image as background"
Step 3) For "Select Icon" choose "custom" then click select Icon
Step 4) Use file manager of choice to go to directory where icons where extracted
Step 5) Choose and enjoy!

Now I present my current Interface

Enjoy!
The tiles for Phone, texts, and gmail are set as icon and not image
they look nice, testing them out now. would it not be easier to make them transparent pngs so the user can still use their own colour? or doesn't metro ui liek png's?
I would, save the fact that metro ui automatically resizes icons to a smaller size not proportional, and big like the actual WP7 Metro UI
this thread is very similar in nature with this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913747
With different icons though

Would you guys like the transparent icons?

I think Metro UI is smoother (like slide for app drawer, the app listing looks better) and it's just more "professional"
hey guys wanted to say this looks really good. im using metro ui pro and i was wondering if someone could make a dungeon wonders icon for a 1x1 tile with whole image as the background.
thanks in advance.
