[Q] Help!! Chrome update today keeps crashing. - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all looking for some help, nothing is being mentioned when I search Google.
Chrome browser auto updated today and since then it crashes before it even opens, is this just me?
Thanks in advance.

Still can't use Chrome nobody else having issues?
Any suggestions, should I uninstall and r re install?

Try to clear dalvik and cache partition info recovery. Repairing permissions could also help

I had this issue the other night, I uninstalled chrome updates, cleared data and wiped cache and dalvik from recovery. Seemed to sort it.

Encryption failure and data removed

I set an alarm on o4x last night before sleep. This morning the alarm happened as scheduled. However, when I tried to disable alarm, the UI froze and continued to vibrate. I have nothing to do but remove the battery. In the next boot, it said "encryption faiure" and have to perform factory reset". As a result, my user data and installed apps were erased.
My version is v10f, rooted. Anyone faced the same problem?

I got that error when i tried installing Google Now from CWM. But i didn't erase data but instead i did reboot. After couple of reboots everything was okay, didn't have to format.

Play store issue

Hi there. Got a problem with my play store saying most apps aren't compatible.
I'm on entropy's test cm10 latest build with gapps 27/07. I've tried all stock dpi's which is my usual trick to correct it (160, 240,320,213) but no luck. I've also tried clearing cache and data on the play store app.
Anyone got a fix?

try clearing dalvik cache and cache after setting dpi to 240.
Thanks for the tip.
Changed to 160,cleared cache and data of play store app, and play store services, rebooted recovery, cleared cache and dalvik rebooted and it worked.
Thanks very much

Uninstall the update. If your phone is on 10.3.1.A.0.244, then the Walkman that comes preinstalled has a higher version number than the one that you manually installed in any case.

Really? Why? 244 is superior to 423 in every way. You really should update as soon as possible.
In any case, I assume you have tried wiping the cache and/or data of the Walkman app?

I want root and had a problem when I did something last time So staying away at the mo.
Will try that with the app

Then if clearing data/cache of the app doesn't work, try redownloading it.
If that doesn't work, uninstall the update and leave it. An older, working version is better than a new version that force closes all the time.
BTW, rooting 244 is actually very simple if you read and understand the instructions first, but each to their own.

I downloaded it again and it works.
Only problem I have is that I cant authorize my sony unlimited music account. Doesn't seem to combine my sony unlimited app with it.
Will look into updating and rooting later.
