A unique problem on my Xperia T - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Hello fellow Xperia T users..
I have a slight problem.
I have a small smear mark inside my screen...on my Sony Xperia T. It can only be seen in light or white backgrounds...
My phone is second hand, so god knows what the previous user has done to it..
I do not want to send it to Sony for repair due to costs.
So hence I'm asking if anyone can advice.
If I do a screenshot of the screen..the mark is not produced in the picture.
I have checked by taking off the screen protector and cleaning the screen, but the mark is still there...
It's just abit annoying....

Possibly? I don't know...
Remember the photos are very bad quality and the screen looks perfect expect for the mark indicated by black arrows.
Thanks

if that thing is not produced in the screenshot ,its definitely not related to the display. and i dont think its the mixing pixel. did you check removing the screengaurd by sony? i mean sony xperia t has its own screencard by sony. if you remove it you wont even have the sony logo

You don't seem to know anything about a screen and a screenshot. If you have a dead pixel on a screen, and do a screenshot it will safe the data sent do the screen as a picture.... And he already said that he removed anything that was on the screen. I did that on my XT, too, and I still have the sony logo!

Apparently the Sony logo does not come off on the Xperia T, but does on Xperia Z.

Can you see it, when screen is off? So if you use a torch and look at the screen, is it still visible?
I have something similar on my notebook screen. And I'm not sure how it happened, and I tried to clean it but nothing helped.

It's just annoying to have even a slight mark on my precious Xperia T screen.

Hey i have the same "problem" as you i guess! I have it for a very long time now, but i have white pixels on my screen, its like 3 dots that you see on white or even just light backgrounds, its really annoying. I think its a dead pixel, im gonna try one of those dead pixel remover or something and gonna tel you tomorrow if it worked.

Problems with display(?) in some apps?

So if I'm in gmail, facebook, google services, and other (white background apps) i see a yellow spot on the center->bottom of the screen. The wierd thing is that if I make a screen shoot..I see it also on the picture!
if in the first picture you dont see what exactly I mean..in the second one you'll see the area where is that yelllow spot(big).
What could it be and how can i repair it ?
If I'm correct, it looks like finger press impression on lcd screen.
Btw did you drop your phone recently?
You could try repairing your phone through pc companion., though I doubt it'll work.
Final option would be taking it to sony service centre.

Both of these explanations dont explain why it appears on the screen shot though.
The screen shot should be of the screen as it should appear and not take into account a screen protector or damage to the screen.
If I am not mistaken a SS shot does not take a picture of the screen, it just records in memory what the screen should be showing so a damaged screen will not show on a SS.
Anyway apart from that I am unsure on further causes.

Point! The SS should not be affected by physical alterations.
If software-wise I think it might have something to do with color balance or contrast ratio.
and how can I resolve this software issue ?
the contrast issue ? because for example if I go from a dark screen to a white one...i have to wait like 1-2 seconds until the contrats it's OK! :-s

Screen Stripes while screen off

The other day I was sitting in front of my computer with my One beside me. I checked my phone, turned the screen off and tried to put it away.
In the putting away process, the lighted computer monitor was reflected on my One's screen (which was off and black then), and I noticed horizon stripes on the One's screen.
I put some pictures below to help you guys understand how I got it, though the stripes are not that easy to be caught with my iPad. But you should be able to identify the stripes if you check out the silver part of the reflection.
(Damn, the pictures are upside down)
It is more like a manufacturing process rather than an issue, and the stripes are totally invisible when I use the phone, they are even barely visible under sun lights while the screen is off, however, pretty easy to notice in front of my LCD monitor though.
Again, it is totally no issue for me (and for anybody else I think, because I do not seem to find a thread about this on XDA or Google). I love my One, it is gorgeous and a piece of art. :victory:
I create this thread just to see if anybody else had ever noticed these stripes, or if I am the only "lucky" guy.
FYI, mine is US 32G unlocked model

It's the digitiser, I'm not sure what's bad about it.
There's nothing bad about it. It's normal. On the Xperia Z it is a Grid of dots that are easily visible in light even while the screen is on. Neither phone is broken, and you can't see it on the One unless you really look close on an extremely silly angle.

Well there's at least 3 of these threads actually lol. And yes it's the digitizer. Every phone will have this to some degree but they don't all have the same pattern. Maybe you'll hate me after I tell you this but you can see them very faintly when the screen is on with a pure white background That's what the other threads were about. Not a big deal at all though (you and most didn't even notice them did you? )

[Q] remove sony logo?

is it possible to remove the sony logo from the z1?
I have seen a few videos, I am wondering if Sony has "fixed" this or not.
personnaly, I want it removed.
please let me know the pros and cons.
Waiting for replies
which Sony logo?
The one on the device, the one on the screen at boot up?
A little more clarification would be nice.
Also, what do you mean "Have Sony fixed this?" Its not a problem or bug.

OK, Just take off the anti shatter film that is on the front of the phone. The Sony logo is printed on that.
PS, I am unsure how you thought Sony was going to "Fix" this....

I was talking about the logo branding on top of the phone, the sony logo.
removing the logo will give a more premium feel, like iphone or nexus, but it's also my opinion so yeah.
but apparently, removing the logo will void my warranty, so not sure if I will do it or not.
I haven't bought it yet, considering it just because of this feature, (to remove the branding )
anyway, can you guys comment on sound quality? volume? is it similar to nexus 5?

Yes it will!
But just concerning mechanical and cosmetical defects of the screen.
At least that's what the German Sony Support told me, when I emailed them.

[Q] Black Spot On Sony Xperia Z

When i bought this phone i after 1 day i noticed this dark spot on the top left of my screen you can't see it clearly when its bright white or black (obviously) but i noticed that you can see it clearly if the screen color was gray.
I really don't know what is this or what exactly caused it cuz i'm not sure if its dead pixels or whatever... cuz its a little bigger. i removed the protection that came with it so i can replace it with a screen protector all i remember was that the guy who put the protector on it was cleaning the screen with a soft cloth but idk if it was him who pushed hard on the screen or if found it like this. i couldn't notice at first because of the statusbar is black.
All i can tell you is that when i received the phone i haven't had any accidents i didn't even use it for long i kept it in the box.
Sorry for the low quality photos.

Its a pressure spot, similar to a desktop monitor being pressed
Verstuurd vanaf mijn C6603 met Tapatalk
Is there a solution to this pressure spot :s i didn't notice it back then if i did i would have taught that bastard a lesson..
And for example if i had to change something do i have to change just the screen ? or the whole touch thing because after i checked the phone recognizes my interaction with it in that spot (means tactile is working on the black spot).

You'd better go to sony center for changing a new phone.
It is a inferior screen.
The thing is i lost my warranty papers :s and idk if there is a sony center in my city :/ also can you tell me more about this "inferior screen" ?
Like how is it broken i mean everything is working and it seems fine nothing happens when i touch it or anything but there is only that little black spot that disturbs me a little bit cuz its a new phone :/
And no its probably not dust cuz i removed the screen protector to see if it was dust but i can still see it :s
Thanks everyone i appreciate it
I forgot...
I forgot btw that i didn't remove the integrated anti shatter proof film..? can it maybe have dust beneath it or something but i doubt ? cuz i have never took it off what i took off was just a normal film i think lol..

Please help me and check your phone. Bottom speaker water sealing issue.

Hi, I've bought an Xperia XZ2 a month ago, and I've sent it back, because it looked like it's sealing is damaged at the bottom speaker. Its looks like that on the right side of the speaker there is no sealing. After this I bought a black XZ2 too, from an original retailer but it has the same "issue". I need you help. Could you check your phone in good light conditions and tell me if there's a "hole" on your phone too? I'd appreciate that. Also, have you put you phone in water? Did it survive it without any damage? Here's some photos.
