Hi, i have a big problem, i can't go to Download Mode (via Odin) by pressing volume down power and home button, now i cant boot into phone cause i format system , data, modem and preload. i try do pick out the battery but nothing... i need help.
edit: now i have flashed the stock firmware but i cant access recovery because volume butttons dont work and when i reboot device it goes in bootloop cause i havent wiped data before flash stock rom. is there anyway to reboot recovery with adb?

In ADB you can use exacly what you wrote:
adb reboot recovery
Try it while phone is bootlooping.
If that do not work - fix volume up button. At service center.

i dont know why but the buttons worked when i was in the phone before flashing stock firmware but doesn't work for recovery and download...
just nother question, if i have the /data of cyanogenmod they cant give me back the phone cause i had root?

I am not sure about that. But you do not have any system on phone... Maybe to see on some non official service.
First try with that adb command.

i try it but nothing, today it's the first time that i try to use adb. but anyway thanks for your help, tomorrow i'll go to service center. i hope they will solve it in less than 2 week cause i'have to go in spain...

You can try with this. It has reboot to recovery in power options. Just wait some time to see if adb will initilize.
If you get adb, hit Power than Recovery.

Hi
I've been having problems with the HOME button on my phone. I've been running PA2.51 on it so thought it was probably the ROM. I went to flash the newer 2.99 ROM from here:

After I followed the instructions I rebooted the phone and now I'm stuck with loads of FC! I can't even reboot into recovery or download mode because the stupid HOME button doesn't work.
I don't know what to do??
Can anyone help or advise please? I'd want to get my files off the thing if I can't save it sigh

just check out the "FAQ and troubleshooting" in post #3 of the rom.....
I did but I can't even get into recovery or download mode because of my dodgy HOME key. Is there no other way to force my phone into recovery by plugging it into the computer???

okie.... do this IF USB DEBUGGING WAS ENABLED
> connect ur phone to pc using usb..
> now run CMD on pc...
> now type "adb reboot recovery"....
> wait for it to work...
now u should be in recovery
Thanks will try and give that a go. If this fails I'll have to get this sorted via insurance
EDIT: GAH! It can't find the device. Looks like I'm out of luck?

if that also dosent work...
then if u know how to use PC odin.. u can pull ur battery out then reinsert it....
then hold down the VOLUME DOWN button and press the POWER BUTTON for 2 sec. and then release it ... but keep holding down the VOLUME DOWN button...
now u should be in download mode in which u can flash any other rom using PC odin..

Well that's rubbish I flashed the stock 4.0.4 ROM and it's stuck on the Samsung logo now. Really not my day today...

Install Philz kernel using recovery and do a factory reset.
So I was trying some things and i flashed a boot.img that wasn't on my phone, it was on PC.Is it possible to have caused this problem to my phone?
My problem is that I open and just a black screen appears.. not even sony logos.I can only enter recovery mode and i cant use SUS because it says there are edited softwares on my phone.. What to do?
P.S: I can only reboot with off buton.. power button does nothing.
P.S2: I dont care if i lose all my data.. i just want it to be fixed..

try to get in recovery if not work is because u flashed a boot.img corromped

I can get in recovery mode as I said above.
How can i install nayak kernel or any kernel from recovery mode? Is there any guide?
Hi there i am relatively new to android modding and rooting etc. I recently tried to install Cyanogenmod to my phone and I succeeded, but the next day my phone began to restart itself, turns out that the power button is broken. We tried to repair it but ended up burning down the processors internal i/o (latch or whatever structure it has) with a faulty multimeter . Now i have to turn on my phone with a dock cable (with 1kohm res) which wakes up the phone, i can access the Download mode by plugging in the dock, and pressing home+down, but the recovery needs the power button signal too.
I can access the recovery by using adb commands, but i need to boot in. If i install a new recovery like CWM, i am stuck in a bootloop and i don't know if i can use the adb commands. Is there any other way to get into recovery mode, besides home+power+up, or adb commands?
Can i install CM onto the phone under these circumstances?

Not sure how you are going to select options in recovery as you need the power button unless you have Touch Recovery or TWRP recovery. Anyway use this app to boot to recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1423071

Well , the home button does the trick, i think i tried it on the stock recovery mode.

With the adb commands i can do that... but if i get into a bootloop i cant use this app, can i?

Well if i install a new recovery mod like clockworkmod then i'll be in one. That is why it is necessary to reboot in it so i can install the ROM.
Rather get your power button replaced.

But I cant find recovery.img on my phone and I use another recovery. Now I want to go in Recovery Mode but I have only LG logo and in left up corner is:

[590] USB init ept @ 0xffdc000
[610] udc_start()
Besides when I restart phone, my phone turn on normally. I think that the fault of a bad file recovery.img. Someone can send me recovery.img on D-405N? Or help me with this problem? Best Regard, Damian.

all of them, its for all lg l90 D4xx devices.
I recommend using this one TWRP_2.8.4.0_160115_L90.img
Ok It's done, thank you. But i have another problem... I put on my SD card ROM but Team Win Recovery Procjet doesn't see zip file. Why? SD card must be in Ext2?
sd card should be in fat32
make sure you are looking into right directory, in twrp you can choose between internal and external sdcard. if you cant see it on external memory try putting it into internal.

You can reboot to recovery via flashify app or following key combination: -
Power of your phone press both Volume Down + Power Button same time, As soon as the LG logo appears release both buttons and immediately press and hold same buttons (Volume Down+Power) again. Now Factory data reset screen will appear saying "Erase all user data & restore default settings?". Use volume down key to select "Yes" and press power button to confirm and now you should be in recovery.

I make factory reset and i have Crystal PA (I don't install that after factory reset O.O) Thanks a lot!!
Im using a infinix hot 10S (X689B), that i recently rooted. Just today when i opened magisk i enabled zygisk anti detection and it told me to restart device, when i did restart my device it got stuck in the XOS logo and i waited for quite a while and it didnt open, when i formatted my device thru recovery mode, the problem still persists. I have tried flashing again but its not working anymore. My phone is currently bricked, no recovery, no OS. Please help me with my problem as i am still a 13 year old and i dont have money to repair my phone.

Boot to stock recovery and do the Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Don't worry, it's not hard and doesn't cost you anything for repair, i've done it everytime

you can try to boot it over adb and fastboot. That you try to boot the image.

yeah.
1. Download the recovery image on your pc.
2. Boot into fastboot mode.
3. enter "fastboot boot image-file.img"
