for sure, just make sure its not rooted as it may void your warranty
It might be some stuck pixels though try this: http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/how-to-fix-a-dead-pixel/4/
I had the same problem, it depends on the Service Centre and Parts availability.
Mine took 4 Hours of repair, free of charge ( Warranty ), funny thing is I handed them my phone with Existenz Installed
If they don't have parts they might replace Exmor RS with Exmor R which is CMOS not BB. or Order which takes roughly 2 Weeks
Hit thanks if this helped

I have received my Z1 last week, everything is fine expect one green stuck pixel on the screen.
I digger a little for Z's screen and it looks like screen with bad pixels is normal but not very common.
Someone else get their phone with bad pixels? Should I get a replacement or keep this one in my hand?
Sorry for my bad english.

Bad luck. So far I haven't seen any bad pixels on my Z1 screen. If you can't live with it, and can get a replacement, you should try it. Chances are you'll get good screen. Unlike the old days, the chances of getting a screen with bad pixels are lower.
Err, what do you reckon. You have bought something with a defect. Yes of course you should send it back

In the old days, 1 or 2 dead pixels was accepted on a monitor, depending on the manufactor and place for the dead pixel...
do anyone know what the limit of dead pixels is for a phone in 2013 ??

I have a display defect which is little down near the sensor it can be checked in low light at night with full brightness and white background , there will be some darkness (the defect) check out in yours, it is everywere but can be seen in some conditions,
u can restart your phone at that time with xperia logo see and also view the side angle..
photos attached show the defect but i your device has it then check it.

Hi Guys,
My XZR fell down and it has got a huge crack from top right till bottom left. Touch isn't working.
Went to the service center. They said that screen isn't replaceable. They used to provide a new handset at half price, but as the production is stopped they can't do that now. But, they will provide a discount on any other model I select which is currently in production.
Can I buy the screen and do a DIY? or should I go for a different model?
By the way, I am from India.
Thanks

LCD screen might cost 4-5 thousand

From second link you can calculate estimated shipping price and delivery time and cost in Indian Rupee. You can give it to any local known mobile repairer to replace the screen and pay him his charges for replacing if you are not confident to do it
You can replace the screen but you'll lose the waterproof "feature" of your phone.
I cracked my Xperia Z and price to repair was about 60% of purchasing price. :silly:
So bought a Xperia ZR instead.:victory:

Is there any way to retain the waterproof feature?
I guess as per the bold description the lcd is glued. Can we do that?

Thibk so, but waterproof feature must be the reason why it's so expensive.
If a repair center says the repaired phone is waterproof again and it's not ....
Hi friends.I recently met with an accident . When I checked my phone, the display was completely cracked Both the LCD and the digitizer are not working. I am considering sending it to the Sony service center in UAE. I know that this doesn't come under warranty, since I damaged it myself (not exactly). My question is,what display will they replace the cracked display with? Like JDC,sharp or someother display? Are the jdc and sharp displays available in the market? Because I don't want someother cheap display.
Sorry for my bad English.

If you give it to Sony service center it will be JDC/Sharp or some OEM replacement.
The will not give a cheap display don't worry.

Sorry. But I don't understand what do you mean by the OEM replacement since I am new to this topic. And how much does the JDC /Sharp displays cost?
Thanks for taking your time to reply me.

OEM refers to the company that originally manufactured the part/product.
The cost varies in different countries because of shipping, tax and other costs.
In UAE can be around 286 Dihrams
The display is the most costlier part in the phone. For the money i can get a new display instead i can buy a second hand Xperia Z.
I suggest you to try to sell the phone and grab some money then buy a second hand or buy a new phone if you have money.
i dropped my note 5 yesterday it was not a hard one. I dropped it from a table and since then left side of the screen is turning purple black, it is spreading and getting larger with time im attaching the pictures. samsung is asking for 150$ to replace the screen and they are also saying that there might be a chance 1% that the phone might turn out to be dead while servicing. its been 1month only since i bought it and about warranty nope as i bought it from abroad and samsung in my country doesnt accept international warranty. what should i do?
time to change the screen...
There would be no warranty anyways as you dropped it..

Mine had ink on screen same as yours, it didn't drop (dont know how the ink got on the screen in the first place) and Samsung replaced it for free.
