I have received my Z1 last week, everything is fine expect one green stuck pixel on the screen.
I digger a little for Z's screen and it looks like screen with bad pixels is normal but not very common.
Someone else get their phone with bad pixels? Should I get a replacement or keep this one in my hand?
Sorry for my bad english.

Bad luck. So far I haven't seen any bad pixels on my Z1 screen. If you can't live with it, and can get a replacement, you should try it. Chances are you'll get good screen. Unlike the old days, the chances of getting a screen with bad pixels are lower.
Err, what do you reckon. You have bought something with a defect. Yes of course you should send it back

In the old days, 1 or 2 dead pixels was accepted on a monitor, depending on the manufactor and place for the dead pixel...
do anyone know what the limit of dead pixels is for a phone in 2013 ??

Anyone have a Diamond2 with a stuck pixel?
I have two, one located on the top left and bottom right corners. Any solutions?
you can try this for a bit:
http://www.jscreenfix.com/faq/17-how-do-i-run-the-jscreenfixmidlet
otherwise if it annoys you, swap for a new one
I have two as well, one red in the middle and a blue on the top right corner.
I run the jscreenscript for two hours but didn't help. Also wondering for alternativ solutions....

just swap for a new one
yeah, don't waste your time endlessly on searching for a solution. Just send it back. I understand it's not something you really wanna do, but it's the best solution.
I contacted Clove, where i bought it from. Called them and told me they would get back to me about warranty returns, and then emailed them and I haven't heard anything back.
afaik a stucked pixel is no reason for a device swap. as in this issue the relation of dead pixels to number of all pixels is important so maybe two are, i dont know. when i sent in a treo pro due to a stuck pixel palm didnt swap.

I would just return it under the long distance selling law which states you can unconditionally return the item with 14 or so days. Just say you didn't like it, and buy one from another retailer. That's what I did will clove before. Much quicker than them confirming the fault, and in the case of dead pixels, 2 might be witching the accepted amount anyway.

I'll just live with it, My Nokia N95 had about 4 stuck/bright pixels and they went away after a while. It's hardly noticeable as it is. BTW here is Cloves response:
'Thank you for the e-mail - the official policy of HTC is that if 2 - 3 pixels are grouped together then the fault would be dealt with under warranty. If there are up to 3 dead pixels with spacing of at least 5mm between them, then it wouldn't be dealt with under warranty.
If something damages your enjoyment, I would send it back
I have done that for a wobbly battery back which really pi$$ed me off
the only dead pixels I ever accepted are on my Canon 5D, but as the onboard computer mapped them out and everyone has them its not a really problem.
I am pretty sure I have a dead pixel on my Incredible S...arrgh! I am so mad..my phone is rooted so I cant take it in for warranty. It is a really small black dot in the middle of my screen, when the screen is black it shows up as white, and when the screen is another color it shows up at black! I am confused as to whether its dead or stuck! Either way what would you guys do???
I geuss its expensive to get a whole new screen right? I am wondering if it bothers me that much to even get this done FFS!

I'd unroot it and return to stock, and then send it in for warranty.
You might try and run the dead-pixel app which can try to fix it by running the display continuously - it does help sometimes. Also, I don't think a single dead pixel may be covered under warranty.
Unroot the device then send it off for warranty
Hello community,
Im just disappointed! Why? I'll tell you. I bought the Xperia SP 4-5 weeks ago.
I found some processing errors like:
1 small dead pixel on the right side of the touchscreen. (It sucks!)
The back cover doesnt fit 100%.
The back cover creaks sometimes, when I push on it.
I got the white Xperia SP and the aluminum frame got also an error. The color of the coating spalled in some places.
Picture: (made by another user with the same problem)--- http://s7.directupload.net/file/d/3352/taq33t6j_jpg.htm
I didn't drop the phone or something else.I always handled it very well.
Btw. that WLAN range issue sucks also a lot.
I will never buy any shi* from Sony again.
Sorry, but Im just angry! I paid 350€ and then this...
My questions: Got anyone else problems with the SP like me? Could I reclaim the phone because of that processing errors and the wifi error?
If under warranty I would send back because of dead pixel/screen probs.

Just wondering... Always thought, that Sony is a premium brand, which stands for quality, lol.
Maybe they are, but not on smartphones.
I`ll contact my provider and describe them my problems, hope, I'll get a new one without any errors.
Ty for your answer!

You must be under warranty!!! take it Back dont even think about it and demand for a new device. I paid 290 for it and i live in Greece (the most expensive place on earth) so i would not like it either if it sucked as a phone.
As for Sony not to be a fanboy but all my phones were bought from Sony (and Ericsson) and i was pretty pleased with the construction quallity.
Dead pixels suck, go get a new one since it should be under warranty. The back cover creaking is quite a common problem (I have it too), so I guess you can either get a hard case that fits, or just live with it.

Yea, you're right! The camera is also bad, but the cameria isn't very important for me.
I already contacted the provider, where I bought it, via E-Mail. Still waiting for an answer.
Hello friends i purchased 2nd gen moto g on 25th dec in india from flipkart! I got it delivered on 26th dec. that was really fast! thank you for that flipkart!
But after using it for next 2-3 days i found white pixels on my moto g to be little yellowish! i compared my moto g to my friend's moto g(same model) and his phone is perfectly fine! i tried digging for the solution on internet and i found out that some other people also complain about the same! they also said that the replacement unit is also same! Is there anyone else from india who is facing the same issue? What i should do? Will flipkart replace my phone? Really worried.. and if it replaces the device is there any chance for new device having the same problem ?
Please share your experience about replacement with flipkart in india.
May be if someone has bought Moto G 2014 in last few days can check their phone and reply? Just wanna know if the whole bunch of stock is damaged?!?!?! may be?
here is the screen shot i took with my phone! I have no idea if it looks yellowish in screenshot or not! that can be a hardware fault or an lollipop update will fix it ?
Are you just saying that you think the color temperature is too warm or what? A screenshot won't show that. Pictures posted by other owners have shown color temperature variance of ~1000K or more, and the measurements I've seen vary greatly. PhoneArena measured their review sample at 8290K, NotebookCheck measured one at 7336K, and I measured my own XT1064 at 6855K (20% - 100%). So there seems to be a large variance. Because it is typical for phones to have a color temperature that is too cool, I wonder if some of you people who complain about "yellow" screens may actually have phones that are reasonably close to the ideal of ~6500K and perhaps don't know what an accurate color temperature looks like?
Although I've a different kitkat phone but I don't see any color difference b/w mine & yours(in msg. app, for instance)...Both appear same.

This won't show up in a screenshot. He would need to take an actual photo of the phone to show the color temperature, but that would be affected by the lighting, the camera, our monitors....
The version of Android will have no affect on this at all, and Android doesn't support color correction.
It would be rare for phones to have a color temp that is too warm. They are usually too cool.
But FWIW, the phone shown in this picture does appear to have a very warm color temp. There is obviously a huge variance from unit to unit, and it may be even more of a problem in India than elsewhere. My US model has a decent (slightly cool) color temp and slightly undersaturated colors. It's a big improvement from my Sensation.

Yeah bro thanks for care but the android version is just okey because my friend is on the same stock ROM that i have! And his phone is just fine!
I dont know much about color temp on any device honestly! but i just know is that the phone that i have it's display looks sooo dull due to yellow color on white pixels! i compared it with the other phone (same model "Moto G 2014") that my friend has! His phone displays perfect clear white! That makes me worried about this thing being a defective unit! I have seen on internet people talking about putting their phone in direct sunlight to remove yellow tint but i dont think i should do this coz i just bought it from Flipkart so its their responsibility to provide a fully working unit!
I will only keep this if a software update can fix this issue!
Though i have already requested replacement i haven't got any call back from them to ensure the replacement process! This is the first time i'm feeling this bad service from flipkart
I'm attaching a picture taken with other camera in the first post! take a look.. sorry about the picture quality! i just hav my old nokia phone that i can use as a camera for now!
I have added another screenshot and i see there is nothing wrong coming up in the screen shot so Is it the hardware issue with the LCD panel ? :crying
Have the same issue. And other too.

I have the same issue with my unit itself. It is way too yellowish. Color calibration is always same for the same model from the software-side. Eg. Your's and your friend's phone. So it is a hardware issue. Good thing you requested for replacement. Flipkart will take a bit of time to get back to you on Electronics replacement, because they would like to help you troubleshoot first with the assumption that just something is set wrong and it is not a hardware issue. I requested yesterday and they got back to me today only. Just for information, I requested replacement for flushed buttons on side. I have a really hard to press power button and volume rocker. Replacement is on it's way. And yours will be soon too, nothing to worry.
Btw, how are the buttons feeling on your phone? Is it mushy or hard to press or something like that? Just so I know.

I saw that the same tint is found on the new one plus one! And also people are saying it goes away in 2-3 weeks! or by putting the phone in sunlight for 2 hours!
are you going for another replacement? Do they give refund??

The screen doesnt have any issue, per say. But it is heavily warm (manufacturing is done with more than one screen providers at hand. My guess is, it's from another producer), and that is something I do not want. Besides that i have a few dead pixels. And considering those utterly crap buttons, I'm gonna go for refund. They do refund. But i'm not sure how that's gonna play out as i bought it in a buyback program. Let's see how it goes.

Hey guys Barely picked up my edge today, and I already noticed a dead pixel (green colored) on the bottom of screen.
Is there a way to fix this or should I return it, and If I return it what's the procedure as I had never had to return a phone before.
download an app like display tester and run throw the screens and colors and see if it is really dead and if so get a new one
