I Flashed CWM on my TF701T,
My problem - I don't have the official recovery partition any more and I cannot install the official 4.3 update from asus with it.
Anyone knows where to get the official recovery or any other way to install the official update?

Check out this post: LINK
That might help.
To do so, u must first get the ota 4.3 update from droidbasment, that one is flashable with CWM recovery. Ota 4.3 from ASUS site has problems with cwm, and won't flash.

When there is one available it will be posted in the android development forum.
but if you are impatient... try Blandroid 2.3.4... it's AOSP-based, rooted and 99% stock... http://blandroid.org/downloads
Geo411m usually posts a nice near stock custom ROM based on each release. If you watch the development forum for this username I bet you'll see one pop-up soon after the N1 specific code is officially available. I've used them before with good results and there is a theme post with nice themes made specifically for Geo's ROMs.
I'm using a rooted version of FRG83G (2.2.2) but I can't do the ota update because of my rooted version.
Is there a way to upgrade my OS ? (my boot loader is unlocked)

Backup ask your data with Titanium.
Passimg back to stock, and update to 2.3.4.
fastboot flash recovery.
Use recovery to install ChainsDD's su.
Restore your Titanium backup...
Blandroid is very good. It contains even my local language, so it's even better than stock from Google. Can be installed as stock replacement.
Flash FR91, Go into HBOOT and flash the stock recovery, start up, force checkin and let it update ( you only have 1 chance at this if you screw up you'd have to do the whole thing again ).
Download SU.zip and flash from recovery.
There you go you have 2.3.4 stock with root.

Yeah? I'm not sure if that's the way you say it but hboot flash recovery recovery.img ?
Or is it called bootloader...
That would be fastboot, not hboot.
Why would you want a stock recovery, and how do you plan on flashing the su.zip with a stock recovery?
My bad, I keep on getting confused with G1.
If you do not have stock recovery, it will not flash the OTA update from 2.2 to 2.3.3 then 2.3.4. After the sequence is done you can go back into fastboot and flash a custom recovery. After that you can flash SU.zip
You can flash an update from any recovery, just turn the signature verification off...
Do-it-yourself way....
1. Get 2.3.4 system dump from here, and Android Kitchen here.(If your OS is Windows, you will need to install modified Cygwin to use it)
2. Cook the system dump files with Android Kitchen.
3. ?
4. Now you have rooted 'stock' 2.3.4 package that can be flashed on custom recovery!

But this is an ota update. Mine did not flash. It went back into recovery after downloading the ota update but it will not flash.
You can flash OTAs through any recovery, just turn the signature verification off. I've done it many times, including the update 2.3.4...

Then I must have done something wrong then. All mine did was boot back into recovery and stay there without flashing anything. I still made it work though.
Hello everyone!
I'm going to move from 4.1.2 (Serbia) + CoCore 5.6.2 + Root to the latest Release of 4.1.2 JB for Germany. What to I have to bear in mind? What's the right way to flash the new ROM?
Only flash the latest release with Odin? Wipe before or no need for that? Custom-Kernel is gone then, right (as well as Root)?
You can try to make that update via OTA and if your phone find that update is ok, but if you did not via OTA do than to flash through Odin.
After that, root, flash kernel ...
After that, will I be able to get updates via KIES again?
and... can anyone tell me what is new in XXLQE?
ON: the best way to get a good upgrade is:
-Nandroid backup in recovery
-optional: backup all your apps with titanium backup
-flash XXLQE with odin
-boot system then do all the wipes
-root
-flash some kernel
-deoex your rom
- enjoy

According to my experiences, after rooting OTA and Kies updates will no longer work.
HTC Pushed an update to my HTC One Dev Ed tonight..
1.29.1540.16
When it tries to flash the update it just goes into TWRP recovery. No other actions.
I then drilled down to the directory that it downloaded to /data/media/downloads and tried to flash with TWRP.. no dice.
Here is the update.. but honestly I don't know what it does.
any Idea on what is preventing the flash?

It only work on stock recovery, not on any custom recovery like TWRP or CMW.

You must go back to stock recovery in order for the update to successfully flash on your device.
You don't need the update from HTC, just go and flash the latest revolution 10.2 rom, it is running 4.2.2 and it has some nice performance tweaks. And it isn't modified so it's running sense 5.

How to do you go back to a stock recovery? Been down that road and it still didn't update.

For some of us, going to a different ROM is not a viable choice, and frankly a solution to load a different ROM does not answer the original question.
Hi I have the same problem here.
When I try to install stock 4.2.2, the phone reboot & automatically enter TWRP & thus stock update was unable to run.

None of the HTC direct updates will work while TWRP is installed.
you will have to
Fastboot flash (stock recovery .img)
then the updated from HTC works with no problems. pst if you can't find the img
I can't update my recovery on my T-Mobile HTC One so I can flash 4.4 ROMS and I'm using Clockwork v6.0.3.1 and I can't update to the most current one through the rom manager app :|
I don't know what to say here. Do you have a question? Why can't you update it? What happens when you try?
Hello I had used Lenovo K3 Note Manager by Princ3v to root my device. It had also installed TWRP recovery then.
Now to get OTA update to Android M, I flashed back STOCK recovery using the same tool.
Then I downloaded 1.65GB OTA update in 5 hours.
Now I tapped on reboot to get the update done but I got the message Update Failed.
Please tell me how can I get back to everything stock so that I could update it.
I have Indian version of it as I am from India.
Thanks a lot.
you gotta install stock recovery and then try to update your phone
can you tell me what exactly the logs says, when the update fails?? this info might help. plz try once again and do let me know
you need to install stock indian firmware starting with s205 using flash tool. After that put the downloaded update in the root of your internal storage. You rename this to update.zip if it is not so named. Boot into recovery and update.

I faced the same issue so got it resolved by downloading original rom from the following link and following the instructions stated.
http://www.needrom.com/download/official-stock-s322/
I was able to install it thru CWM recovery but I guess TWRP shud also work
If you use cuoco92s modded/rooted MM ROM for the k3 note, you can flash it directly from TWRP, just be sure to wipe before and after installation.
