Hello,
I'm trying to activate 4G on my Droid 4, but it seems that I can't get it to work.
- Stock ROM (with build.prop changes from Mentor)
- CM 10.1.3 (with Mentor's gsm patch)
Proximus uses 1800Mhz band for 4G / LTE according to this article
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proximus
Does someone know how to enable 4G on my phone?
TIA,
Fossie

Try setting up your 3G by changing the APN in Mobile Network Settings.
thx for your answer, i have the rigth settings in the APN, and i have edge data only.
found a way to extract with this tool.
attached the baseband for whoever wants it.
final result = endless boot loop.

Hello,
I tried to flash the new ics port, with different basebands but the reception wasn't good.
my carrier works on 3G 2100/850mhz bands, and no 2G support.
did a little research and found:
p920 supports 2100 mhz (and others but not 850 mhz) 3g band
p920h supports 850 mhz (and others but not 2100 mhz) 3g band
any of those bands alone gives me half of the reception coverage.
however p925 basebands support both 850 and 2100 mhz.
when i flashed at&t official GB rom from here, i've got full support of my network, wich is by the way not at&t, but Pelephone, Israel.
my idea is to dump the GB baseband from original at&t's rom
and flash it after flashing the new ICS port (instead of the given XBSA404_CP.fls), which i think should work with the GB baseband.
my question to you guys is how can we dump only the baseband from at&t official rom
and flash it on an ICS thrill ?
and do you think this should work ?
Thanks in advance, ValkA.

Original GB 1.8a baseband, in .fls format. I dont know why you need to go through all of this, you can flash this AT&T Baseband ontop of a Thrill (P925) WITH the ICS port to have 3G. Shoot, I have HSPA on mine.
the 1.8 baseband is made for p920, which doesn't support both 3G 2100 and 850 mhz, it supports only 2100.
i will have HSPA with this baseband, but with a little network coverage.
with the p925 baseband i have full network coverage, thats why all the effort.
you were right, i tried to flash it one more time and it works now!
Well I have an LG Thrill 4G on T-Mobile's 4G network. But I only get "EDGE" Service.
I was told that T-Mobile's network is 1700 mhz and my phone is a 1900 mhz phone so it wouldnt work out. But then I tweeted T-Mobile about it and they said that they are upgrading their towers or signal, whatever its called. to 1900 mhz. So I'm assuming that if they do that I will get 3G and 4G speeds. If that doesn't work. Does anyone know how to get up to 3G & 4G speeds?
My phone has the OFFICIAL 4.0.4 ICS update in it that AT&T released.
I have a Micro Sim Card from T-Mobile.
Software information,
Android version - 4.0.4
Baseband version - OMAP4430/XMM6260
Kernel version - 3.0.21
Build number - ICS
Software version - P92530b
I was rooted when I had 2.2.2 froyo and 2.3.6 gingerbread but when I got ICS it was erased and I don't think theirs a way to hack into it yet.. unless any of you guys know? well yeah I need help
Root lg thrill android 4.0.4
this page has a link to root it but its in Portuguese... use google traslate.

Have you checked your APN settings? Make sure they are using the tmobile 4g network settings. I can post then if you need.
Sent from my LG-E960 powered toaster.

Yes Please!
Hello, i recently moved from Asia to North America and i found out that the frequency band requirement to be able to have the galaxy note n7000 working in Canada is to have bands 1700/2100. Is there any procedure that i can do to get this supported? Is it a change in baseband, modem, etc? If so, what baseband or modem should i be flashing to get the band 1700/2100 supported?
Would appreciate all suggestions on how to go about this. thank you!
No.
Hi,
I have a problem, this version of the LG V40 ThinQ - 405UA (AT&T, Sprint USA), doesn't work with the 3G band 900, and this is a problem for the network I use, what can I do? Anyone? Is there a way to open up this band? I check, and the other versions (V405EBW (Global) - V405QA7 (USA Unlocked) - V405TAB (T-Mobile USA) - V405UA0 (US Cellular USA) - V405UAB (Verizon USA)) does work with this band, this is the only version that doesn't

I would recommend flashing the USA unlocked version with LG up. But remember, some OEM stock not available, so if you flash over it and you didn't save it, then you can't go back to it.
