Hello
I have Indian SP C5302. I want to install install the Australian generic 4.3 stock FTF (.266). I just read somewhere that one have to exclude TA partition while flashing it with flashtool whereas I have previously installed 4.1.2 stock FTF available here without excluding TA.
Can anyone please clarify under what circumstances one has to exclude TA or does not have to exclude TA during flashing stock FW.
Thanks in advance.

Even if you select it on flashtool nothing will happen, it wouldn't get flashed, so choose either of them it wont harm your device.

Official 4.3? YES you have to.
Leaked?? U dont have TA partition at all (after unlocking BL)
Late reply!!!...
What @smogf said ^^
If you are flashing the official one you need to
If you are flashing the leaked one you need unlocked bootloader so the TA is not there ...
May I know how to get back warranty?
I got the Ta Backup.
I had restored it to NUTs 534 firmware, installed root and restore TA backup.
Now what should i do before going to Sony?
Phone button donsent work, therefore going for repair.
Do i just flash a stock ftf file over using flashtool and i am good to send for repair?
After Restored TA flash via Flashtool the latest FTF 4.4 for your model from your region. Done.

I want to return to stock 12.0.A.2.254 firmware from an unlock XSP with cm10.1 and i have an ftf file (I downloaded from the inernet) as well as the flashtool to do so but I heard that flashing a stock ftf will relock the bootloader. Therefore I have three questions:
1) Will any ftf file work? Do I need a specific one for my phone? Will a Generic ftf from any country work?
2) If the bootloader is relocked,Will it be unlocked the same way as it was before? will the same codes (unlock key/IMEI) be used as when I unlocked the phone for the first time?
3) Is there a way to flash stock ftf without the bootloader getting relocked? If so then can someone give me detailed instructions?
I don't mind losing root access as long as the booloader is unlocked therefore I personally wanna go with the third method but I have got no Idea on how to go about it.Some help would be EXTREMELY appreciated.
Also I want to apologize if something like this has been asked before but I was not able to find a similar topic or a topic that could answer my questions.
Thanks.
P.S
I just found a "loader.sin" file in the ftf that I have.I don't know if it has anything to ddo with the bootloader or not.So will including that in the flashing sequence relock the bootloader? Does "loader.sin" have anything to do with the booatloader? Should I exclude it while flashing the ftf and will that result in a faulty flash?
Help would be appreciated.
It won't re-lock your phone's bootloader.
Any ftf will do but advisable to use back the one with same customization version that your phone came with originally.

I dont know my customization number.I mever checked for it neither did i back it up.Is there anyway to find it in cm or is it lost forever?
Then just flash any generic ftf for your phone model C5303 and it will also be fine. It will also be fine.

I have a xperia z1 (C6903) and i would like to flash the stock kitkat firmware from Sony into my device since there are a few bugs when i installed xposed framework. And i haven't unlocked my bootloader. So will there be any problem if i flash the stock firmware? Will my TA keys be affected by this?

it's always a good idea to keep a backup of the ta partition table...
there should not be a problem. you will lose your data when you use the flashtool to do that...

That is incorrect
You will not lose TA partition by flashing a stock FTF. You can keep all your data if you tick to exclude data on flashtool.
However, if your problems are stemming from using Xposed the best bet is to just uninstall it. There is no need to reflash a rom.
hi,
so i am currently on cm 11. To come back to stock sony , i have to flash an ftf , then relock the bootloader, root the phone and then restore the Ta backup ? or do i just restore ta backup without relocking the bootloader ??

there is already a thread about that, but no matter
flash the original ftf (the one where you have backuped your TA!!), than relock the bootloader and at last, restore your TA BAckup now you are completely on stock and no one can figure it out, if your BL was unlocked or not

you can use .108 as well i think, what matters is that you are on 4.4.4 when you have backuped on 4.4.4 but btw, i can share .157 BAL with you, from baltic states, works well with non baltic states
