What did you use to separate the case? My car dock has a magnet responsive back that id like to put behind the back cover rather then place it between a case and the phone back ?

flexed it, the top end of the back cover flexed enough for me to get a finger nail under it. pull, a tab will pop, work your way around sliding your fingernail, when you feel it get tight, pull again and the next tab will pop. it's pretty hard to **** up. just don't pull like a madman and you're good to go. oh, and remove the sim tray first.
Looks just like the G2

Not if you take your time, especially around the Sim tray.

I managed to make it 2 weeks unscathed with great care but I finally fell victim to a few scratches in the corners on the front and back and a chip in the middle (Just my luck, the case arrives today as well '-.-). Sure I heard the warnings of it being slippery but I guess I was surrounded by level surfaces all the time..Nonetheless while turning into a parking lot at a decent speed, my poor nexus leaped out of the cupholder like a bar of soap and onto the floor. Luckily, I managed to both grab it without holding up traffic or completely destroying the screen by stepping on it/dragging it too much across the floor trying to retrieve it. I guess this experience is motivation enough to keep my car cleaner >_>. My pure android experience isn't completely ruined but you can see the scratches if you look hard enough...Perfectionists be further warned.

Completely naked..
You think that's slippery, try using the bumper.

Get an hard case of eBay, it's matte finish, nice to touch and isn't slippery!

I decided to go with a diztronic tpu like I did on my galaxy s2 and it will be waiting for me when I get off work. It should serve me pretty well, I'm not very accident prone with my electronics...This however was a very unfortunate freak accident.
This has been mentioned a few times in the various review & first impression threads. No need to have another discussion about this.

I was wondering if I would be able to cut out the NFC on my original back door and tape it onto my extended battery back door.
What would be the process for that?
Is that even possible?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
Its just a sticker you can pull off, and put on any back you like

I just ordered mine. Is the NFC not built into the phone or battery?

The NFC antenna is basically a sticker on the battery door for the Note 2. Some of the 3rd party battery doors dont have the sticker. But they do have the mold where it goes.

So its easy to take the NFC antenna sticker off a battery door, or flip case you dont use anymore, and put it on a new one. Or you can just order the sticker off of eBay, but the shipping is insanely expensive.

I could NOT find a case that I liked. I tried the official, but wasn't fond of its inability to stand up on its own, nor its inability to keep the front flap closed. I know I wanted smart cover functionality, but they all seemed more bulky than I wanted. I didn't even necessarily want a CASE, just a cover/stand like the iPad smart cover.
So I did this. Started with one of these for $13:
http://microcenter.com/product/403316/Folio_Tablet_Case_for_Google_Nexus_7_Black
I carefully took a putty knife and removed the cover part from the plastic case part and used a double sided adhesive square that I cut to the approximate size and stuck it directly on the back of the N7. Its entirely removable with a little heat and some patience, and does exactly what I want lightweight, cheap, and about 15 minutes of time. The buttons and ports are all full exposed and if folded back, it still fits into an OEM dock. I don't have one but I tried it on a buddy's at work. Yes, I know I need to clean my screen.

Reupload the pics please.
Sorry! Fixed!
Neat. Glad it worked out. I was thinking of putting something together myself like this but I am not sure what magnet to use.
Which one did you end up using and where did you get it from?
Its built into the cover I linked to. The cover is double sided taped to a hard plastic shell from which I removed it.

Good idea man. I'm thinking I might try this with a TPU case instead of directly onto the tablet.

I'm thinking of doing this with a good quality hardshell case. Any suggestions on a good hardshell to use?
Bought it at the AT&T store. Comes with blue and black inner case
Kinda bulky and the bottom slides off exposing the black or blue underclass. It's like a pewter color, pics are uploading gimme a minute lol

I bought it also decent case I wish the edge of the rubber doesn't feel like it was slicing my ear as I prefer the look of it with out the plastic shell. Very slim and mate black sexy phone. My friends have gs3, GN2, gs4, nexus 4 and the HTC one all love this phone. My one buddy with the HTC one just got it the end of last month and is already trying to sell it. Lol

Bought this case last week and just returned it. with normal wear and tear over 1 week i found the bottom piece to slowly slide off throughout the day.
also i didn't like how slick the back was so i returned it.
I'm gonna return mine. I didn't like it at all. Just wanted to post it up. My slim poetic case comes on today: D

Link to other thread with my case which has the hole for ATT G2 where it has a mic top right of camera and T-Mobile doesn't have that mic there so this case works for all except Verizon. I have three posts in the thread with pictures and name of case.

Does anybody know if there's ways to modify a Metal Case to get normal reception? I had the Idea of buying this case ( http://www.casefanatic.com/samsung-...oque-lg-g2-metal-bumper-d802-d801-ultra-thin/ ) and modifying it where the Antennas are so I don't lose signal. Has anybody attempted anything like this? Its a really sexy case. Just want a way to not lose signal.
I guess you would need to see a G2 tear-down to know where the antennas are exactly. If you find one, let me know. I'm curious.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBysBoEGmXY Here's a VS980 Teardown. No Idea what the antenna looks like on these...
Looking at that teardown and looking online for any information I could find,
You would basically need to remove a good inch from the top and bottom of a metal case to reduce signal loss.
