Calls work on 3g, 4g is only for data. Well at least that's how it goes here in Australia

Yes that's true for the rest of the world. Phones should kill the lte connection for calls though. Most probably rom problem. Why don't you check out the thread? Maybe there is a solution already

Thank you all. I did do some snooping around and think I found the problem. Even think I got it solved.

@buckfyter
So what was your problem? It was a ROM problem?
How did you solve it?
Thanks

[ISSUE] Cellular reception

I previously had the LTE connection problem, but now it escalated to even HSPA! It was working previously, but my carrier signal couldn't be detected when I'm indoors. I removed the sim and placed in another phone but the signal was full. Anyone having the same dilemma? I tried to reset the phone to no avail. Thanks

Did you flashed another firmware or still on stock with locked bootloader?
If so repair the phone with pc companion.

Still with stock everything. I will try to repair it in a while as I am using an Apple computer. Thanks!

If your model number is not C6603, you can't get LTE Service

Since you flashed an LTE rom, the build prop of that rom is most likely to say C6603.
Look at the printed letters at the botton of your device, above the barcode, there should say the actual model number of your device.
There are no work arounds for c6602, even if you flash a c6603 ftf file, it wouldn't give you LTE capabilities.
If you really want LTE you need to purchase the c6603. Make sure it supports your carrier's LTE network frequencies.

Also even if it was possible, you need that your provider give you a 4G access and a 4G package, you're ****ed anyway, your phone doesn't handle the 4G, i'm sorry for you.
Keep in mind that only few people have actually the 4G access, the deployment is in progress in many countries and many towns and for many providers.

I am living In uae Also and I bought the c6602 Also and I flashed a rom and its written there now c6603. LTE is not only software optmiziation but hardware too. But even if you have 4G its speed is barely over 3G in most of the places. it works fine only in few places
I got 134 mbits and 32 Mbits maximum on iphone 5 (my speed tests)

the hardware is different for both the versions so it wont work

WiFi disconnection?

I'm suffering from WiFi disconnects
The ZR disconnects and reconnects every few minutes
The vendor stated that if the router (AP) does not support the 802.11n standard, the WiFi will disconnect
But, SHOULD it disconnect?
I have tested on several APs, if I use these devices as a WiFi host, the WiFi disconnects:
- Dlink DI-624S
- RUCKUS WIRELESS ( unknown model )
And these APs work with ZR smoothly without disconnects:
- HTC Incredible S
- Buffalo WHR-HP-G450
- Dlink DIR-632
Does anyone has the same problem?
Any information will be helpful
P.S. I'm running stock 4.2.2 on stock kernel

Similar

I am using many wifi connections, in my house which does not support 802.11n, in my work which we have several ap, in university, friends houses, I have used it twice in train stations and public places!
And no disconnections! and by that I mean absolutely no problem like yours! and I have C5502 like you (the non-LTE one!) so I'm not sure about that, but you might want to try define your router manually!
Same as the other guy, wifi works flawleslly on my c5502

Can i use LTE connection using c6602 xz with c6603 rom?

Im just wondering if i can use lte service. Btw i know that c6602 is only h+ capable but is there any method or tricks i can do to make it LTE?

Put simply; no. The C6602 doesn't have the necessary hardware to use LTE.

Help with getting kit Kat LB roms working on my C6606

I have had trouble getting any of the roms here going on my phone. Coming from a long line of evos and galaxy's I am no stranger to rooting and modifying. What the hell, at least I am rooted and Happy with the nova launcher, almost good as a Rom.
Now I see kit kat is out for locked bootloader phones. Is there anyone that doesn't mind running down how to upgrade a c6606 phone without any surprises?
Sent from my C6606 using Tapatalk
As far as exact process I would be interested in that too.
As for availability, either grab the ftf fir your region or wait for a rooted flashable Rom.
As far as the rest goes, t mo has been pushing app updates so we may get something.

I'm also curious, if I follow the directions in either of those threads will T-mobile LTE still work? That's the only problem I could see occurring since the c6603 and c6606 are almost identical aside from the radio bands. If anyone has already tried it please let us know, thanks.
It should work. I just flashed 4.4 earlier today on my c6606. Works fine. No longer says 4G but instead says H+. If anything you can keep the TMo baseband when you flash the kernel.

Go to settings>more>network mode select lte option.
it will display the relevant logo where you have 4g coverage
think you have wcdma option enabled
I did that as soon as I flashed the ROM. I have LTE set as preferred. I get either R for roaming, 2G, 3G or H+.

H+ is HSPA+ not 4G
Guess the place you are residing has 4G signal issues
Correct, the signal here is kinda funny. I get 4G but not 4G LTE here.

I ended up installing the update coming from the latest T-mobile firmware and excluding the baseband when flashing the tft file. Everything seems to be fine for me, I still get LTE speed only now the icon shows up as "4g" rather than "LTE" but that's fine. Out of curiosity does anyone here use the T-mobile Isis app and if so do you know how I can get it to recognize the phone as the T-mobile variant thus allowing me to use the app? I've tried replacing all instances of "c6603" with "c6606" in the build.prop to make it match the what was there in the original firmware, but I've had no luck.
