I did it. Everything is great.
But I have a question...we just change the name to Dolbi. So we just activated new mode which one was not available in the system before ?

It was available but not enabled. Maybe LG has plans for it, or a different variant will have it enabled.

The dobly is actually system wide because instead of using LG audio effects, it uses the kernels dolby config. For those who want to really hear it, I recommend google play music. Open terminal and make sure its #
adb shell setprop tunnel.decode true
adb shell setprop tunnel.audiovideo.decode true
HOWEVER this is break the lg music app. Be warn
For me it's not an issue because I have all my music on play music.

Those commands are from a linux/windows. You can just download the terminal app from play and do the same command minus adb shell part. To confirm it's working. getprop.

Thanks for the audio mod. I've also got viper enabled and working. Only on power amp though but your Dolby seems to be system wide and I believe it sounds better than viper does. It really makes your headphones/earbuds come alive. Now I'm not an Apple fan by no means but their earbuds are by far the best sounding I've heard. I'd put them against Dre Beats Tour earbuds any day. Those Dre's are only pricy for the name. But again thanks for the mod. Works great.

It doesn't improve the sound, and even creates distortion. Very very bad distortion, even without changing the settings. Just if the lib file is in ROM, if will distort the sound. I've it on my Nexus S and Acer A500 both running CM10, and it phucks up the sound on both of them. I'm using PowerAmp on my phone but wanted to try out the new Google Play Music app (it sucks BTW) and had to use DSP manager. It was very very distorted. Both on external speaker, and worse using my Sony MW600, which has a very clean out put with PowerAmp.
I don't understand why everyone wets their pant when DSP manager comes out.
P.S. I am not an audiophile or anything.
DSP manager is meant for modifying sound props to be for specific locations. I use soundfx.
Sent from my u8800-51 using xda premium.
Haven't really noticed, But then I always have DSP Manager,
It's good for bass though
I always delete DPS Manager, but i used it on my Desire HD. Now i only use the EQ's in PowerAMP and PlayerPro. If i need more flexibility i'll install the DSP add-on for PlayerPro.
Flash beats audio if you don't use dsp

What kind of headphones do you use? Do you usually listen with your devices plugged in and charging? Also, it could be device specific ROM issues. Are you using stable releases or nightlies? You should look at things a little more objectively before you assume that since it happened on two devices, it must be the app that someone worked hard on to develop. I have had mostly good experiences with DSP manager. Every now and then I'll get a lemon, but it has always been easily fixed.
Hey, all.
I'm looking for the best headphones available for under 100$ that are compatible with Samsung Galaxy Ace.
I want to know your opinion on the best headphones.
They can be wired, Bluetooth, but I personally like over-ear, open headphones the most.
Mic is preferred but not necessary.
Also, I wouldn't like genre specific headphones like Beats.
Thanks.

I was looking for a reason to go back to Sense, but I couldn't find one. GPS locks almost instantly. MMS works great. Phone works in speaker and normal mode. Had the slight crackle in speakers when playing music but a little DSP magic and I can't tell the difference between my setting and Beats.
The only thing that would draw me back is blink feed but tbh I don't use it as much unless I'm bored. I can always use flip board for news feeds unless someone has a better suggestion.

ZOE is exclusive to Sense. Haven't taken any actual pics being that there is a thunderstorm out so I can't really test it. From what I can tell, there are plenty of options including a burst mode. Rear and front camera works. The image looks wide and full so it is utilizing the pixels as they were intended.

So asfar as installation goes, I have TWRP. I know to wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset but a little confused on Formatting data. If I do that, won't it delete everything including internal storage? I see under Advanced Wipe, there is an option to wipe system. Is this the same as Formatting data? Sorry for the newbness, this is my first phone without a sd card slot. I'm used to "formatting data" while having the external storage to keep the Rom on.

I just looked. They don't have it anymore or maybe I tested when Google allowed 24 hour refunds. I don't even see the $10 app for Samsung gs4/HTC one phones. Sorry. I kept the $19 app when I bought it as it controlled a lot of stuff I tested. It worked very well on my gtab2. I finally got it almost completely setup last night on my note3. I rarely need my TV remote as I have volume setup to be controlled through my onkyo/onkyo remote. I really only need the smart hub button and very rarely input on my Samsung TV remote but now I only need touchsquid app. For the cheapies in here the touch squid $19 app is really worth it. Touchsquid has excellent support as seen through the reviews and they update often. I only think you might run into problems with old stuff or the latest stuff that might've changed their frequencies recently for touchsquid to not have updated.

I use iRule on my iPad and now on the Note 3

These are just a few pages of a comprehensive remote, dont want to flood the pages of this thread.
That looks sick. I need a tablet now.

No ****. I do have to say I like how the layout and graphics represent the actual remotes better but having touchsquid that premium isn't worth it to me.

Well, since the Samsung WatchON app is an epic fail (and far too bloated for what I want) I'm going to bump this thread because I'm looking for an extremely basic free universal remote app with codes for my ancient Sony integrated receiver.
All I want is volume buttons and input switching. I don't need anything that costs, supports 500,000 devices, has a fancy-pants gui with pictures of the device, etc.
That free IR Universal Remote linked in a previous post is unacceptable, by the way. I left them a negative review on the play store already.
Any other freeware suggestions?
Great looking app..
Not worth the $$$

Well one other thing I'll add is to do the sony bravia 3 mod. Way improves the screen, I've never noticed a difference in other phones, but sure did on the flex.

Where did you get Bravia mod? I've been looking for this module but I couldn't find it. There is a cwm flashable zip but I've locked bootloader.

thanks!

Never used exposed lol. Where can I download?

Here is s drop box link to an old version. Download and install it. Then open it and go into the download link inside and update to newest. Be careful and read everything about xposed. You can mess up your phone if you're not careful. Always make backup and have custom recovery or a way to flash back to stock. Good luck and enjoy.

I'm pretty surprised and annoyed that no one especially the user that posted about the Bravia 3 mod hasn't responded regarding its location. I can't find it either so if someone wants the share the wealth feel free

Just search xda or the easiest way it's to download android tweaker or pimp my ROM from the play store or try google. In a bit surprised and annoyed no one will take a minute to search for something.

This isn't my first time at the rodeo buddy. I search for EVERYTHING when I need to. As a person who likes to teach themselves things (music production, photography, and currently coding) I'm no stranger to research. So do you know where it is or not?

Honestly as soon as I read 'search xda' I just skimmed... Just kidding but I guess I didn't retain that part, your rudeness overshadowed it. You could have lead off with that and skipped the condescending part and everything would be cool... Food for thought, I'm done bickering with you, it's a waste of our time.
