I only have access to my bootloader......can't get into recovery or boot into the rom.
My terminal window keeps hanging on "waiting for device" so I don't think USB Debugging was enabled.....
The only thing that is looking bright is that my computer is recognizing my phone in Fastboot.
I'm completely clueless on what to do now.....
Please anyone help

Maybe try flashing recovery again?

Hold down the power button and vol down button untill the phone reboots to the bootloader again. Make sure its in fastboot mode and type
Code:
fastboot erase cache
Then type
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Then
Code:
fastboot reboot-recovery
Hopefully it will boot into recovery.

only works on hboot 1.44.
as mentioned above hold POWER + VOLDOWN (under a bright light), when it reboots let go of POWER but keep holding VOLDOWN, once in bootloader follow steps above to flash recovery
i think "fastboot reboot-recovery" doesn't work (at least for me), so do a "fastboot reboot-bootloader" then enter recovery.

I had the EXACTLY same error as you. Didn't know what caused it. After about 20 attemps I finally managed to flash it. I changed the USB Port several times... But I didn't do any other things. Just try and try and try again. And whenever your screen freezes, do what @nkk71 said.
Volume down + Power button for several seconds...
OK, I have resolved my problem, thanks all of You.

Why are you using safestrap when you have an UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER!? Just use fastboot and flash a custom recovery

By using fastboot you mean a hold volume down and power right? Im not sure.. but i think I bricked it because computer don't recognize the phone ..as i said it only show motorolas message about unlock bootloader, then it blinks, show the message again, and then the dead green android. And the process repeat all the time. ..

To get the phone to power off when it's in a bootloop, try holding down the power button until it vibrates, then let go.
Are you able to get into fastboot by holding volume up+volume down+power?

Hey guys!!! thank you for your patience!! my atrix hd is finally back!
as I told you, after i flashed cyanogenmod, the device was stuck in bootloader unlocked warning message. I thought the battery was dying, so I put to recharge.
For my surprise, after a quick nap, cyanogenmod was ready to go!!!
I dont know why it took so long to start, all I know its fully functional now!
Thanks again, you guys make difference, i wish i can learn to help others here too.

"Decryption Unsuccessful" When trying to install update

I had finally been able to unbrick my phone using the guide on the forums.
So I decided to update to the latest oxygen OS, I downloaded it, hit install, then got a message saying that installation failed. So I hit reboot, and when it rebooted, a screen comes up that says "Decryption Unsuccessful. Your phone storage has been damaged, please download the firmware package to brush"
Now I am totally lost. I can't seem to find my phone on my computer either. Any help would be appreciated.
Use the Root Toolkit in the development section. From there you can choose the option to Force Decryption! I was.in your shoes a couple of weeks ago. I've stayed away from flashing roms for now at least. This should fix you phone and give you access to.your internal memory

You have to be in fastboot mode. Reboot your phone and using the volume up choose reboot to fastboot. Did you enable usb debugging in the develeoper settings in your phone?

Data recover from a dead ALE-L21 P8Lite

Hello guys. Thanks for tacking a look at this thread.
I have a P8Lite ALE-L21 that some time ago I seat my ass on it and screen broke and even bend a bit the frame. I have lots of pictures from a trip that I´m desperate thinking that maybe I will lose them.
First of all I brought a new frame with new screen. Replace the good looking board to new frame. Tried to turn on the phone and starts to loop trying to boot but never boots. I have read that this is an usual issue with this phones.
Now I´m stuck at the fastboot & rescue mode not knowing what to do next.
Is it possible to restore the phone to factory settings and after that try to recover the pictures? If it´s possible to restore it can someone give me some instruction on how to do it?
I will apriciate all the help from you guys.
Thanks

Hmm, if you have twrp dirty flash personas mod. If you don't, try t flash twrp, and after flash the mod. That won't delete your files, only make your phone to boot. Hopefully you had Android 6 already.

In the fastboot & rescue mode it the bottom it says in green "PHONE Locked". This might be a problem to flash ?

boot, recovery, and fastboot loop

MI8 with older twrp and older LOS suddenly bootlooping. it is unlocked.
If I hold Vol Down, it flashes a fastboot logo for a few seconds.
If I hold Vol Up, it flashes the TWRP logo 3.3.1-1 for a bit longer than the fastboot.

Oh sorry I forgot.
How did you flash recovery then?
Unsucessfully.
When i did ./fastboot ... It waited till it could see the phone and started the flash i guess, but as i said it said it was done in 1.7sec, so i think the phone rebooted, like it do, not caring if the flash was done
Type fastboot oem edl and automatically your phone will go to EDL Mode. If the command does not work, try fastboot reboot-edl or fastboot reboot edl.
If it can recieve and execute this it should enter emergency download mode.
And if that works then what should i do?
Flash it normally with miflash
Or qualcomm flash tool or sp flash tool depending on your chipset

The power button is probably broken.
You cant shut off the phone meaning something wrong with the power button.
The fastboot and twrp screens won't stay on for more than a few seconds.
I've done my reading and looking at similar issues. I've just concluded that the power key is damaged in some way.
Your best bet is to find someone to fix it. Or you can try to fix it yourself(but that is risky if you don't know what you're doing.)
I'm sorry for looping around the issue, I suspected the power button at first but I didn't really wanna leave you with a hardware issue unless I was sure so......
So, firstly, thanks.
You said power button, so i just played with the power button for 30 sec, AND IT BOOTED!
BUT, it has a SAFE MODE graphic on the screen.
rebooted and its fine?
can i ask how to update twrp and lineage, and can it keep the data intact?
Uh safe mode happens when the power button is held during boot.
Um that still is broken i think.
