Successful design. :highfive:
Doesn't Apple do this every year?
I wouldn't call it recycling, it's brand identity.

and then we have to ask, do any of the apple kids complain?!
Why should they change the design? It just works and despite of what some "design purists" are going to say it's one of the best on the market. Keep in mind when looking at all those concept artworks that they are just that artworks and they don't have to acknowledge all the given limitations that exist in reality.

Since Samsung has been awarded with some patents it may change in the future, but I agree with you, it just works, having a front button to wake up the phone is great.
IMO It's like to keep the "S" family close. Since it's the "S" flagship series. They could always use other design but it'll be a black sheep.

I really miss the Samsung Wave series design.
But the S5 not looks as bad as anyone think.
I think the best desing is the s4. The s5 looks like my old s1

Up to a point I'm just not that interested in how it looks. I want it to do what I want (not Verizon's or Samsung's idea of what I want) & do it right now dependably. Good battery life, easy to handle & carry. That's why I am toting GS4 dev edition with Hyperdrive rom.

I can see the 11 year old CoD players raging now.
On a serious note, have fun. I'd honestly be shocked if Motorola pulled this one out. For a company with such a history and such integrity, they have the business sense of a low-level pyramid-schemer and are completely unaware of what their customers want.

Guess you don't know that Microsoft is already doing the same thing to Moto over phone technology and is likely to keep Moto from being able to import a number of their new phones.
Turn about is fair play and as of now this is the only way to fight back. If you want to blame someone blame the patent system for not properly enforcing intellectual property rights in the first place and for granting patents that shouldn't be allowed as well. The system is screwed up and this is the result.
This is how tech company's derp around....
Motorola I'm very disappointed in you for trolling around, especially since google is controlling you.
Motorola = derp face

Don't worry.
In the recent Apple vs Samsung War, Samsung lost... but that does NOT mean that Android lost. While I know that Samsung violated Apple's patents and some of them were in Android phones.
However, the patents that Samsung violated were features that Samsung added to the Android system to make it stand out. The core system that Google gave to Samsung is still pure and doesn't violate anything.
Apple will have a tough time bringing down Android
Apple thought that by bringing the biggest Android phone maker, they could bring down Android... that didn't happen and it won't happen
Long Live the Droid

Touchwiz as a launcher sucks, but some of the other aspects of it are nice and I miss them on AOKP (not that I'd go back to TW to save my life). I've never understood why there is so much more hate on TW than Sense.
I just love the sense ui. It is far better than touchwiz. Though i havent used toichwuz for long.

Because Sense actually adds something to the OS, all Touchwiz does it try to ape the iPhone look. If the lawsuits manage to make Samsung get rid of it in favor of AOSP or a less ugly UI I will be glad they happened.
If you guys want to talk about Android launchers then you should you should take it here:

Samsung won in Japan. Which says a lot because Japan and Korea have a tense relationship.
Good thing apple can't sue devs that use those features in their ROMs.
Here is what Samsung wrote me.

not sure why we should care about this.
if you wanted svdo then why buy an s4? the specs were released at least a month in advance.

I'm sure they monitor them, but it's not smart for them to post on them as they get ripped by someone no matter what they say. Kind of like the example in the OP above. I'm betting that support person will not be reaching out to anyone again anytime soon!
Its a shame really, they used to have developer relations and tried to reach out to the community with samsungjohn. however its just too much for one person and needs a whole team, we had kernel sources, responses from samsung and just a better connection with them.
its when samsung really took off in the rooting community.
I really miss this feature from the sgs3. It's too bad they cheaped out on us

If Sprint's LTE was anywhere as robust as their 3G (which in itself is not saying much) then this would not be much of an issue, but it's not.
Sometimes you wonder why they make such bone-headed decisions. Why couldn't they just leave the SVDO support in there. I doubt they can point to some incompatibility issue with anything like CPU or SoC or physical design etc..
OP is funny?
SVDO exclusion is almost certainly a Sprint decision, as no other phone besides the s3 and ltevo had it, or will have it.
And referencing T-mobile LTE? really? Missed that announcement where their LTE network is magically complete

If I was a moderator I will close this right now!
And what is wrong with phones made in China?
The nexus 4 is modular so the only thing for sure is that it's assembled in Korea but every component should be made in any place.
But I agree with the rest of you; what's is wrong with Chinese made phones? There are some really impressive Chinese made phones (Jiayu, Meizu, Oppo, etc) and MTK processors are good enough for smartphones...
The technology you know about in China only scratches the surface. You should try living here

So apparently, the Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch will have flexible display. I listed some specs from the source article. There is also a video of how it would look like based on the design patent filing by Samsung in Korea.
This thing is expected to be announced on September 4th.
Galaxy Gear Smartwatch Specs
Samsung Exynos 4212 dual core clocked at 1.5GHz with Mali-400 MP4 GPU
320 x 320 resolution Flexible OLED display
Camera (integrated into strap)
NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Accelerometer
Decent battery life
Android 4.3 (developer units had Android 4.1 or 4.2)
Source
Samsung might restrict it to just Samsung App Store, which would be a d*ck move.

Oh our little wrist warmer has come a long way...
Still loving mine, and enough to buy the Gear 2 as soon as I can. Not sure what all the bad reviews were about, especially those that came later after a few updates on things like Notifications. I was cleaning house and got a call from my son, and we talked for a long time with him saying the voice quality was great. I use the Pedometer every day with S Health to keep in shape now too.
