After my HD2 got a hardware problem I changed to HTC One M7 international with H-BOOT 1.55 and OS- 3.62.401.1
Unlocking was easy but I failed with almost all how to's to S-OFF. Until I found the Firewater method.

This one worked for me. In case someone still has the same problem. It cost me too many tries to find this solution... Maybe this helps.

I am currently having problems trying to s-off a HTC one m7 from three Ireland. It has hboot 1.57 but I cannot figure out how to downgrade hboot. Firewater gets deleted if I try to run it.
Any ideas?

That's the latest hboot from HTC as of now there is no s-off method that we know off... Keep checking on S-OFF procedures hopefully they would be updated to support this new hboot until then you out of luck.
You will just have to wait and hope . You can't downgrade without being s off

Hi
Silly question.
Can I S-Off while on custom ROM?
Im on eMMC 9001 HBOOT 1.54 and will trie Android Revolution HD 71.1
If someday the S-OFF utility is released (via FireWater, Rumrunner or whatever) can I do it from Android Revolution HD? or I need to be in stock?
Thanks for your help and comments...
I was only able to get S-OFF on Cyanogenmod, not on stock. When the eMMC 9001 S-OFF is found your answer will be found in these forums, I guess.

yes it can be done, do not update your phone, the newer HBOOTs are harder to s-off, at the moment you are on 1.54 so s-off should be easy and its best to use a custom rom, use rumrunner to s-off.

Thanks for answer but not quite easy to S-OFF...
You see Im on eMMC 90014a484 and is almost imposibble to make the S-OFF working, believe me I already open some threads about it and tried every single tool and on Linux/Windows PC with not succeed.
However my main concern was if I install Android Revolution the S-OFF can be done no matter if is stock or custom at the time they launch the final solution to 9001.

Btw there is no guaranty "they" (devs) will ever find a solution. We all hope this will happen but don't forget the M7 is getting old (1.5 year old) and probably much more efforts are focused on newer devices than on our M7. Hopefully, newer HTC phones s-off methods will works for the M7 that are still stuck s-on.

Yes I know and this problem may take weeks or even months to be solved. I was reading other threads from people that are really desperate on this matter.
I'm on 1.54 but eMMC 9001 and my MID is PN0713000 is more common but my CID is HTC__332 and OS 2..24.599 this means there is no stock RUU to download for me since there is no RUU with those specs for my ONE M7 and the only hope was installing a diffrerent RUU changing CID but without S-OFF this will be impossible until developers make it happen on 9001 series

I've searched far and wide and tried and tried but cannot get the s-off on my new -to-me HTC one m7 for at&t. I have tried firewater which has given me various results from the "whoops" to opening bottles and whatnot then saying it failed. I have also tried rumrunner. I am currently running insert coin 4.4 with sense 6 and sunshine says I am not compatable. is there any way to maybe downgrade my hboot to 1.55 or something as that seems to be the problem to me. or is there a ROM that runs a Google style android and will work with a rooted s-on device? Thanks

Downgrading hboot require s-off so no you can not downgrade hboot to achieve s-off. If you have tried all the suggested rom/kernel combinations known to work and sunshine is also not working, you might want to try a java card s-off service like proposed at http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/, not sure if it still working on 1.57 hboot, better to ask them before.

You must be on stock Rom-kernel if you want SunShine to work. If you don't have a nandroid backup of your stock Rom then you can install Maximus HD (or a stock Rom) as its closest to stock and then you can come back to your preferred Rom.
I'm on HBOOT 1.57. I've searched everywhere and tried firewater, rumrunner, etc. Nothing has worked. I've read about Sunshine, but I don't really want to purchase anything. Is there any other way to get S-Off?

If you already searched everywhere then I'm sure you already know the answer but just in case :
Firewater is discontinued
Sunshine is the only method currently available to s-off 1.57 hboot
So sorry, you will have to pay for sunshine if you want s-off.
hi,
i bought an HTC One M7 (Sprint)
HBoot 1.57.000
radio-1.01.20.0904_2
android 4.3 sprint rom
I managed to unlock bootloader, root the device, but cant S-Off with any of the methods, Can some one tell me if there's a method that worked for them or let me know which method to try ?
Thanks
You've tried RumRunner?
If so the only other option is Sunshine.
I've been down that path with 1.57 and Sunshine is your only choice.
I used RumRunner way back when, but haven't needed S-Off since mid 2013 (seems like such a long time ago, haha!) so it's easy to say I'm out of the loop with S-Off providers.
Sunshine seems to be the best option, seeing as RumRunner doesn't directly support Sprint anymore.

RumRunner will work if you have an older hboot
