hi,
i bought an HTC One M7 (Sprint)
HBoot 1.57.000
radio-1.01.20.0904_2
android 4.3 sprint rom
I managed to unlock bootloader, root the device, but cant S-Off with any of the methods, Can some one tell me if there's a method that worked for them or let me know which method to try ?
Thanks
You've tried RumRunner?
If so the only other option is Sunshine.
I've been down that path with 1.57 and Sunshine is your only choice.
I used RumRunner way back when, but haven't needed S-Off since mid 2013 (seems like such a long time ago, haha!) so it's easy to say I'm out of the loop with S-Off providers.
Sunshine seems to be the best option, seeing as RumRunner doesn't directly support Sprint anymore.

RumRunner will work if you have an older hboot

After my HD2 got a hardware problem I changed to HTC One M7 international with H-BOOT 1.55 and OS- 3.62.401.1
Unlocking was easy but I failed with almost all how to's to S-OFF. Until I found the Firewater method.

This one worked for me. In case someone still has the same problem. It cost me too many tries to find this solution... Maybe this helps.

as for now this is the best method to get S-OFF
Hey guys!!
I've been trying to s-off for a while now and no luck. I've tried firewater and rumrunner multiple times and no luck. I've tried using ElementalX and Bulletproof kernels with different ROMs. I've also tried downgrading to 4.3 and 4.2 ROMs but still the phone refuses to s-off. I have HBoot 1.56 so can't try moonshine or revone.
I have the black AT&T variant HTC One M7. I want s-off to be able to update my phone to newest firmware and am currently on ARHD 81.0.
What are my options?
Use SunShine, pay 25$, and then you will be s-off
I'm using stock 4.4.3 with ElementalX kernel and Rumrunner does not work for me. It pours 8 times then it says, "Wait 30 seconds, pray, try again" Fast boot is disabled, no lock screen, SuperSU grants all root access, still no hope. People are saying that they used Firewater but its website says they discontinued the work so I can't download it either, any help would be appreciated.
Your viable and most likely option is now sunshine for $25 US if you can't soff with rumrunner. Rumrunner seems to work best with lower hboot, firewater no longer works, and revone is for 1.44.
You can run the test app from their website to see if it will work.
You could also try moonshine or revone, but I don't know if either will work. I used revone with the oldest version of ARHD I could find, and it worked great.

Best to not waste his time .. only Sunshine s-off will work on hboot 1.56 and 1.57
Hello guys I really have problem with s-off.
Actually i'm rooted and unlocked and i'm using InsertCoin v7.1.1 with hboot 1.61.
Now i know revone is not compatible so i tried rumrunner but i've got the problem below.
I tried moonshine and didn't work.
Firewater now is converted in sunshine but i don't like to pay 25$ for an app that i will use only once.
So what can i do now?
If I flash a rom 4.2.2 can i resolve it?
Short to answer you is to pay that 25$. It's the only practical and easy way. If you want you can use java card, jtag etc. but they are more expensive.
If you use Sunshine then you can use it on that phone as many times as you want.
Hi all. I just unlocked my HTC m7 (GSM) with HTCdev.com and then installed TWRP and used that to install SuperSU. After that, I ran Sunshine to get S-OFF, and then I ran Guru Bootloader Reset in order to remove the "tampered" flag. Then I set SuperCID to 11111111, and I think I'm ready to flash a rom (I"m looking at ViperOne, since I used it on my Sensation and liked it).
I'm on hboot 1.61. Is it worth downgrading to 1.44 so that I can easily get s-on/s-off in the future? If so, should I flash the new hboot before or after the rom? Does it matter?
Thanks all. I spent quite a bit of time flashing and testing roms on my HTC Touch Pro and then my HTC Sensation. I've held off for a couple of years, but I'm looking forward to playing around with my M7 again!

Your phone is already S-OFF why would you want to turn it back S-ON? Never go back S-ON, the only time it should be done is before sending the phone for repair under warranty. Going back S-ON is the same as intentionally locking your car with the keys left inside... And even if you go back S-ON why hboot 1.44 should make it easier to achieve S-OFF again? You just paid for Sunshine, you can use it as many time as you want on that phone + If you already have paid for Sunshine, its actually the easiest method to S-OFF your phone on any hboot version.
If I buy a SunShine license, can I use it on multiple phones?
No - one license is good for one device. You can reuse SunShine on that device, if necessary, we however NEVER recommending setting your device S-ON

Another thing to know is that hboot 1.44 is incompatible with windows 8 and 10, so say goodbye to fastboot connectivity (fastboot commands) after flashing it, unless you are using a Mac, Win7 or Linux.
For your last question, it doesn't matter when you flash the hboot, if you need to flash one. Would recommend to stay on 1.61
