Hi,
Try reverting back to CWM 5. As far as i know, CWM 6 was made only with the intention of flashing Android 4.4 Kit Kat builds. Do post your result. You can find the CWM 5 link below. Hope I helped

What's meaning by GB? What about the Nandroid backup? Will I lost them after I Flash a stock ROM?
Hi I saw your message. I can help you, so I did something usefull today. XD
1 First of al you flash cyanogenmod 7.1 (GB=Gingerbread) don't forget to wipe dalvic cache and wipe cache partition and do factory reset.
than you go to follow site:from step 2 and furter
You have to scroll down till you see the discription
http://www.theandroidsoul.com/cm9-cyanogenmod-9-for-galaxy-s/
succes
I think I had the same problem. Earlier versions of onecosmics change the device name. After this I couldn't downgrade back to CM7, had to reflash the whole phone in ODIN.
I would suggest installing a Samsung Gingerbread rom first using odin, you can flash JVS rom. Root it using CF-Root kernel. Then install CM7 using CMW, then follow the instructions on how to install ICS from CM7.

it doesnt matter if you flash jvt or jvs, basically its the bootloaders that matter and u need GB b/l (gingerbread). Here you go...
1. flash XXJVT using this link here http://androidflip.com/how-to-insta...ad-xxjvt-update-on-samsung-galaxy-s-gt-i9000/
2. root your firmware using this link http://androidflip.com/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-s-android-2-3-5-xxjvt/
3. go to recovery mode after rooting is done, then a) wipe data/factory reset, b)wipe cache partition, c) go to advanced>wipe dalvik cache, and flash your rom.

not a noob, just a newb to xda. a thanks would be appreciated
Thank you for all your help!
But one more Q
My friend told me that flashing CM7.1 should be working with CWM 5 (sth like that).
Is it real?

you mean flashing cm7.1 through cwm5? i dont think there should be any issues with that, depends actually on what rom u were. if you were using cwm5 whilst on ICS rom, then i suggest flash a GB based ROM first, root it and then ul have cwm 3.0.0.5. then go ahead and flash cm7.1 (which i personally dont like)
cheers!

You will always have that problem coz the ROMs you flashed requires GB. so go flash GB first before you install CWM and custom ROMs..

it should be 2.3.4 before you installing CWM
HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED:
1. YOU NEED TO FLASH YOUR PHONE TO GINGERBREAD 2.3.4
2. AFTER FLASHING STOCK ROM, ROOT IT!
3. INSTALL CLOCK WORK MOD
In this part, it is now the installation of your CUSTOM MADE ROM
1. Wipe Dalvick Cache
2. Wipe Data/Reset
3. Wipe Cache
4. Install Zip from sd card then locate the zip file
5. YOUR GOOD TO GO!
BTW: Always wait for the rom to load, it may take awhile to load if it is installed for the first time
Like If this helped you THANKS
What's your model number? ?

Hi guyz, I got a friend you wants me to flash for him his stock n7000 ICS 4.0.4
Considering how risky it is to go custom on an n7000, I was wondering if any of the new JBs are safe to flash coming from a stock 4.0.4 ICS?
Like the nigtlies from CM or the JellyBeer v4.18
He really wants to jump from 4.0.4 to 4.2.2.
Any suggestions?
The safest way is to flash Stock Gingerbread on Odin, root, install CWM, Wipe data/cache, and flash any CM 10.1 based ROMS. I am using JellyBAM since a few months, and its stable with excellent battery life.

Thanks for the tip. We installed CWM (philz thingy) already and we already made a back-up. Device is already rooted too. Do i still have to flash Gingerbread thru odin? or flash directly CM 10.1?
OMG... since u already got philz safe kernal n backup already done u can just direct flash to the custom rom u want !

Hahahaha, just checking. I wanna make sure his device is ready. Thanks man! Gonna flash later when I get to work.
I was playing around with a few roms and kernels, I then got CoCore 6.8 and flashed it through CWM onto ParanoidAndroid and now I cant access my phone or go into recovery. When booting normally, android.phone Stops working and when booting into Recovery I just get a loading circle ( similar to the buffering circle on YouTube )
Thanks in advance.

So I had the ParanoidAndroid 2.90 rom, then I flashed CoCore .8 using CMW onto it and now I cant accces either my phone or recovery.
Trying to go back to stock with Odin now.
PA is cyanogenmod based, and such ROMs only work with cyanogenmod based kernels. On other words, cocore is just for stock roms. You mix both of them and you'll end up with what you have right now...
Flash everything again with odin and you'll be fine!

Okay, I got the tock onto it but its stuck in Bootloop :/
Will I be able to just flash CWM and go back to a Backup without using odin to reinstall the stock ?
Okay, I managed to get CWM up and running, currently im restoring a Backup from this morning.

How to downgrade from KitKat to jelly bean 4.1.2 through recovery
You can only flash custom ROMs based on touchwiz ROMs through recovery like sweetrom or aryamod .... or use Odin to flash original Samsung firmware because you can't use recovery to flash original firmware.
Press thanks if I helped you.

Downgrading to JB is as easy as booting into recovery, wiping data, booting into download mode and flashing the stock rom
or booting into recovery and flash a custom TW rom or restore the backup if you made any before flashing Omni.
I have a non-rooted phone upgraded with what Samsung provided (several OTA, then Kies to 4.1.2, N7000XXLTC).
I'd like to downgrade to stock 4.0.4. My steps are:
1. wipe cache & data from Recovery (would a Factory Reset do both?);
2. use Odin to flash the ROM;
3. never do any sort of wipe again.
Is that correct?

Steps are correct... Use the recovery option to wipe data / factory reset ..instead of the settings menu.

same thing for me,
but I have a issue here. I had made a backup of my 4.1.2 rom in cwm, and flashed a 4.4.3 omnibus rom,, after flashing omni I have twrp recovery rather cwm recovery , so I am unable to restore cwm backup
do I need to flash cwm again ,?
or any other ways
omni rom draining battery very fast, and it made a dead battery
thanks

Yes you will need to get CWM.. flash raw or philz kernel and then reboot recovery, wipe and restore the backup.
Let me share my own experience
Whenever i wanna go back to jellybean from kitkat :
1. Do clean wipe
2. Flashing official gingerbread rom
3. And then installing jellybean..
I dont know why but whenever flashing jellybean after do a clean wipe it never works so what i do is flashing gingerbread first hehe

I'm on 4.4.4 DU Rom.. The phone got hanged after I enabled the allow mock location option. Then the phone got stuck at the Samsung Logo screen. I went to recovery and tried doing factory reset, but it failed with error as unable to mount /data. After that recovery mode is not available, but I can go in Download mode. So, i tried to install JB 4.1.2 - N7000XXLTA via Odin. But the process gets failed after 'NAND write start'!!!
Any solution???
