Hello, today i have upgrade my phone, i download the last version of cm (cm11 03/04/2014) downloaded from maclaw.pl and upgrade it!
Today i've buy an otg cable from amazon..
I plug in the cable but it appears anything... (Sorry for my bad english)
I have used:
StickMount > Not Work
USB OTG Helper > Not Work
Drive:
16gb Corsair Survivor FAT32 > Not Work
8gb FAT32 > Not Work
4gb FAT32 > Not Work
It seems that when I insert the pen drive has no current, because the LEDs do not light up!
I have the CWM Recovery but I can't remember which kernel i use... maybe the original!
Thanks a lot!

I recently bought an OTG chord.
It works fine with all devices on FAT32.
I have a seagate HDD (500 GB) which is in NTFS format.
The problem is,
1. I took a pendrive that worked well (on FAT32).
2. Then i formatted as NTFS.
3. Now it didnt mount.
4. I have root so I used "StickMount" app on playstore to force mount NTFS formated USB.
5. Now the pendrive mounted easily(even with NTFS format)
BUT my hard Drive still fails to mount!!
infact, a flickering beeping noise can be heard from the HDD (The HDD works fine on my PC)
So the question is why is that so??
Is it something like, HTC ONE OTG cannot support 500 GB??
Or flashing a kernel with ALL OTGs COMPATIBILITY will do the trick??
Has anybody successfully mounted 500 GB HDD??

If its only a usb powered drive the HO wont be giving enough power to the hdd hence the beeping noise from the drive, you could try a mains powered drive to see if that works.

NTFS is not natively supported. However there is a root app that allows r/rw of NTFS partitions

It's not just about power, NTFS is just not supported in stock Sense 5 regardless if the USB stick uses 0 power

Even not with StickMount app???
then in that case anyway to connect HDD to phone via OTG??
StickMount requires root Like I said, only rooted apps can currently r/rw on NTFS drives for HTC One.

Im on 4.2.2 with semaphore kernel..i used OTG cable with external power and app called "usb host controller" , but i cannot connect any external devices to my i9000..can any one please explain how do i use OTG cable to connect external devices..
Thanx in advance and sorry for my bad english..
Depends on kernel settings but:
- Connect OTG with phone and harddrive/flashdrive (must be formatted in supported way fat32/ntfs etc)
- Connect powerhub to OTG
Should work now.
I do think that only flashdrives of a certain ammount of data (say 16gb) are supported (dunno for sure since i dont have an I9000 but an I9001)

Thanxx for ur help..i think semaphore supports OTG. I will try..
I have an OTG cable, specifically for the P1000, and a simple USB stick will not mount.
I also am trying to mount a USB 3 drive, so not sure if that won't work because of drivers or lack-thereof.
I have a y-cable for the USB 3 drive, and it still will not mount.
I have Cyanogenmod 10.1 running Android 4.2.2
Any suggestions?

Anyone able to help? I'd really appreciate it.
Me too have same problem....
after i installed cm 11 (4.4.1) FXP303-cm-11-20140120-UNOFFICIAL-huashan
OTG doesn't work for any usb flash either it formatted fat 32 or Ntfs
i did partition wipe but didn't install gapps
is anyone have same problem or know what to do ?
after troubleshooting found that all cm have bug of not outing volt to usb so any usb connected with original otg cable won't work
there is 2 way to use otg ;
1-buy ((Y)) OTG cable
2-use stock rom or any modified stock rom
thank you
I bought this device because i saw an add on the Droid Life website and it caught my attention.
This device made by MonsterĀ® Digital is a pretty useful device. I use it in conjunction with chainfire stick mount app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.stickmount&hl=en) and its awesome I have access to all 3 storage (Internal, External SD and USB OTG) at the same time and was able to transfer files between the 3 using es File Explorer (https://play.google.com/store/search?q=es file explorer&c=apps&hl=en).
Currently I'm using the latest CyanogenMod Nightly Rom for the LG G4-H811 (T-Mobile variant) and latest TWRP Recovery and was able to make a full back up using the OTG Storage.
The other side of this device is a 3.0 USB connector so you can connect the device to your computer and transfer files too!!!
This device is amazing and I encourage you to give it a try! Is super tiny and easy to carry and the best of all the cost is just $11.79

Also jumping in on the op subject, got me a 32GB PNY stick, also for about $12 from BestBuy.
Very recommended! it's pretty fast and cool as hell.
About time they start manufacturing these... wondering why they only started to pop up in stores around 2015 oO
I bought the 16gb version 2 months ago when they were on sale at a local wall greens for $8.00. Fantastic little device.

Were you able to install a ROM from the device without first moving it to internal storage ?

Yes I did install 7 HD (H811) and it was fine. This morning I installed the latest CyanogenMod Nightly and had no problem.
Both directly iinstalled from the OTG device.
