[Q] minimoto v2.1??? - Motorola Droid 3

got my mini moto rom from xda developement flashed it to rom slot 1 using hashcodes safestrap 3.5 and everything works but no data connection how come?

Which network, verizon?
Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire using Tapatalk

yes verizon droid 3

you used minimoto_v1.7.zip?
have you verified the md5 checksum for rom's zip
Verify that your download is complete with MD5/SHA-1 Hash Checksums

there was no md5 checksum with the one i got from here

then you download twice, and compare.

apn name, username password, mnc mcc , ETC
maybe the user name and password can be found with google search

did you installed via Safestrap safe system? If so just disable safe system to get to stock.
if you flashed over stock . then... good luck just kidding.
it would be advisable backup your data and to go back to stock , root, (install safestrap), change to safe system, and then install CM9 as a Dual Boot
This thread can help with SBF
this is hash blog where it can help you with installing the latest safestrap and latest alpha5
How do I install Safestrap?
First, make sure that you do not have another Bootstrap APK installed. If you do, please remove it.
Then installed the APK that you downloaded from here.
Once installed, agree to the disclaimer that you won't try to sue me and hunt me down with a rifle if you manage to break your phone..
Then use the "Install Recovery" button.
From there you can reboot and you *should* see a new splash screen during the boot up. While this is showing you can enter Safestrap Recovery using the [ menu ] button.
That's it!
How do I install _____ ROM?
Make sure you have the .zip file on your SD card. (only for CM7: grab GApps .zip while you're at it -- use CM7 Universal link) (you dont need to flash CM9 gapps as they are included.)
Now reboot and enter recovery by hitting [ menu ] during the splashscreen.
If this is your first time in Safestrap Recovery: make a backup while in non-safe mode to keep for disaster recovery.
If "Safe System" is not enabled, then turn it on in the Safestrap Menu.
Format /system under "Mounts" menu
Install the .zip as per normal.
Wipe data/cache
Reboot
Have fun
this way you will be able to go back to Stock back and forth cm9 in the case something is not working

2.3.6 to CM9 nightly?

I'm on the original 2.3.6 rooted ROM from way back when it came out.
I want to upgrade to CM9 nightly, but with more than 300 pages in that thread, I'm having trouble finding My upgrade path.
I'm not too sure about this MTD/non MTD thing either.
Anyone willing to help a disabled vet out? I've given myself a midrange trying to figure it all out.

Okay, I followed the instructions completely, everything was fine.
I downloaded the April 21 CM9 Nightly, and booted into recovery.
I selected it, it installed decently quickly, and now it is boot looping, showing some install screen that I can't read because it is so quick, but it shows an android laying on its back with a red exclamation mark...
Help?
Managed to get back into recovery.
I'm going to try rewiping it all and reflashing.
That seems to have done it, It is booting now, got the CM9 boot animation.
Now I need a landscape animation...

I went 902 to 905 renamed zip to update.zip and it was a no go.
No need to rename it. But when you say "a no go" that's really not providing any information that people can help you with. Some versions of this put the update zip inside another zip with a crc file. If that's the version you have, you need to unzip the update zip and put that on your sdcard-ext. Then go into recovery and do the update from zip option.
Does this leak make all Bionics run at 1.2GHz, or are people like me with a certain revision processor not going to see that boost in performance?

Only 1 number really? 1 number can be major differences. You really can't tell anything by a number.
Just an FYI.
As I was preparing to sideload this and had just gotten a fresh build of 905 loaded, I rebooted and was greeted with a notification to download this update to my phone!
I am not on the soak test list nor am I registered for the Bionic on Motorola's support site. This means that this version will definitely be the OTA and will likely start pushing out to all users very shortly.

I was just considering going to TWRP for touch, so your post was very timely. I flashed it and it seems to work just fine. More importantly, the interface is something that I'm used to. Thank you!
For folks who've forgotten how to flash a recovery image -
Power off the phone
Hold down the power, vol up and vol dn buttons until you see a menu
Use the vol dn to go to "AP Fastboot"
Use the vol up to select it
Connect the phone to your computer. The phone should report "usb connected"
Issue the command "fastboot flash recovery <recoveryImageFileName>.img"
After the image has been successfully flashed to the phone, issue the command "fastboot reboot" to reboot the phone

Formated /modem, I Need Help!! No phone service, no Wi-Fi (FIXED)

Trying fo fix an error I accidentally formated /modem in my Atrix HD. Please help me, I don't have phone service right now! What do I do???
SOLVED
When you do have this issue, first of all you need to flash with RSD Lite. Check this thread and follow the steps (Say thanks to the OP): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2231249
When you have phone service active, you will notice that Wi-Fi is not working.
Here is what I did to make it work:
First of all, download the file that I attached.
You need root access!
Extract it with 7Zip or Winrar.
Use a file manager like Root Explorer (I couldn't make it work with ASTRO)
In the file manager, give it root access.
Copy the unzipped .bin file to your phone.
With the file manager, paste it on "/persist"
If you can't copy it there, you will need to set RW permission to /persist
If there is another file with the same name already, delete it.
Reboot phone.
Enjoy!!!
I am using a company from Mexico so the AT&T solution won't work!

Oh god, thank you so much! I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2231249
Unfortunately,I don't have Wi-Fi connection. I haven't tried data services yet, but my guess is that I just need to set up the APN. Do you have any idea how to fix the Wi-Fi thing?
Again, really, thank you very very much!
It's weird because I already used 3 different NON-KLOS.bin files to flash the modem but the Wi-Fi still not working.
The data service is working and the phone service too, but I just can't get the Wi-Fi to work.
I already flashed 2 times with RSD Lite, and still the same. I checked and verified every thread with the word "Wifi" here but still without luck.
Any advice?

I took them from here:

I flashed with RSD Lite the Retail Mexico (I couldn't flash the others), but downloaded and extracted all to get the NOS-HLOS.bin. I flashed every single one of them with fastboot, different combinations, erased modemst1 and modemst2, but still the same.
It is weird because there are people saying that it worked for them. Maybe my phone is doomed.

The APN is right, in fact I have data services but no Wi-Fi. The issue is that I have limited quota (250mb, believe it or not), that's why I need the Wi-Fi.

Flashed with RSD Lite again, tried that but still not working.
Extra info: I tried to format /firmware and it throws the following error:
E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/modem
Error formatting /firmware!
I makes a reference to the modem, does it sound familiar to you? I am still searching for another solutions
Here are some screenshots of the phone.
As you can see, first of all, the Wi-Fi option shows like if it were unavailable from the Menu.
When I enter, I can move the slider, but it returns back to OFF. It shows the message of turning on, but it doesn't do anything else. The two buttons of the left are unavailable, too.
When I enter in advanced options, the Wi-Fi doesn't have a MAC Address.
As far as I know, everything else works fine (I haven't tried the bluetooth), but I don't know what else to do.
I already did:
Like 10 RSD Lite flashes with the Mexican Retail.
Manual flash step by step with fastboot
Changed multiple NON-HLOS.bin files manually with fastboot
Wiped system, cache, data, etc, etc
Set up APN correctly (Data is working, BTW, but not Wi-Fi)
Format /modem again and tried the same procedure with slight changes
Erased modemst1 and modemst2 manually
Flashed multiple Custom ROMs
Used multiple different fastboot files
Everything following every step provided in the posts.
Still not working. Not even a clue what to do. Maybe I am ignoring an important step?
Please, can anybody help me?
Important detail: My phone is from Mexico, not AT&T, I bought it in Mexico, and it came with Mexico Retail Stock.

Just found this thread and read through it.
I have US AT&T and unfortunately made the same mistake you did of erasing the /modem directory. I tried everything you did, and ended up with the same issues.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46155106&postcount=163
The only thing that worked for me was fastboot flashing the US JB from where you found the firmware (the Mexico JB only worked with data):
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/dinara/list.php
Why can't you flash US? What error do you get? Can you try flashing US from this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2226527
Currently, the only thing that is working for me (trust me, I have tried EVERYTHING except for Halo Blur ROM, which I may as it is close to stock) is a combination of:
1. Flashing US Retail (data/wifi works)
2. CMB rom (everything works, but phone seems to drop out).
I've noticed that NONE of the JB roms seem to have good radio performance, which has been disappointing as that's why I got this phone (from an HTC One!). It may just be that the reporting is off.
My next step is going to be:
1. AT&T stock JB with Halo
2. AT&T stock JB only
3. AT&T ICS
