I can not find a lot of the settings you have on my phone. Maybe you have different version of ViPER or different audio mods, would be really nice if you could upload/link to the same APK/mod you have
Thanks again, very nice of you

My headset settings, I paired my O2X with IEM JVC FXT90. Most of my music is in lossless format, I use PowerAmp with AlsaMixer. I'm a basshead and my equalizer is flat. Other settings that are not mentioned here - I turn it off. I like my music loud with strong bass punch (not boomy), high a bit crisp, and vocal is forward along with the musical instruments. I used Viper4Android FX version 2.2.1.1. on TonyP's CM11 + Pengus latest kernel:
Playback Gain Control: On, effect: slight, max gain: 4x, max output 0 db
Convolver: On, impulse response: Urei 1178 impulse
Dynamic System: On, listening device: common earphone (v2), dynamic bass: 8%, tube simulator: off
Fidelity Control: viper bass: On, bass mode: natural bass, bass freq: 40 Hz, bass boost 3.5 dB, viper clarity: On, clarity mode: natural, clarity: 3.5 dB
Master Gate (Limiter): output gain: 3.5 dB, channel pan: 0.5 : 0.5, limit threshold: 0 dB

Does this do anything to boost in-call audio? That's all I really want
I believe it does

I'm looking to boost system volume. Even this app wasn't enough. Maybe the speaker is just weaker than i anticipated thus the headphone jack.
Audio boost here and Free!!! (pay donate if u want)
Ive looked around and found one that can increase yr volume its called Galaxy Tuner, on android market, maybe for Galaxy phs i dont know just try it, but to get the volume use the equalizer! use slider 100db 80-90% up for a bit more bass, but manly use these 2 sliders 875db and 2400db to round 70% any more will just distort sound, it will be a bit more tinny sound but louder great for shap noises like bird ring tones or sounds like sirens etc just play around but dont go max its crappy distortion! and u can save setting under what ever name! NOTE: using head phones will sound better, but make a setting "For Head Phones" and a setting "For External Speaker"

Best EQ settings?

Hello,
I'm wondering what EQ settings are best for all types of music.?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda premium
Use your ears. Some people like to have a lot of bass, and some like to have small amounts or even none. Plug your headphones in and adjust it until you like how it sounds on different songs and genres.
I don't use EQ. Makes my life simple. The settings in Voodoo control is enough for my ears.

The ones picked by the recording engineer during the tracking session.
I prefer a flat EQ a well, but that is because I want to hear the track how the artists/engineers intend. I have ultimate ears triple fi 10 in-ears and they sound amazing. But it takes some getting used to the sound since most people are not used to hearing super clear mids and highs
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Save up for decent equipment and use no EQ at all. DSP effects ruin sound fidelity. As mentioned above, get used to listening to music the way it was intended by the artists and sound engineers that recorded it.
And here I was staying on Cm7 just for the DSP manager

I add bass, lots of it, but maybe I should stop using DSP
also Alan, DSP can be had on any ROM I'm on touchwiz ATM
(If you download Root toolbox you can find it in the 'other ' section then flash it)
Max. (From my Galaxy 2)
The bass seeing in power amp with the preamp turned up

Voodoo sound vs beats audio

Thinking about flashing beats audio. I already have voodoo sound.Which the difference detween them? Which is better? They are both sound amplifiers?
I dont know whether beats audio works on 2x but voodoo does work. Plus DSPManager along with Voodoo makes music complete. One more PLUS LG'S default music player is very high audio quality music player with lib dependent HW equalizing unlike other players which uses cpu for DSP.
So in summary,
LG music player + voodoo + dspmanager thats way enough for an ear

Now i'm using audio beats with boose and i have to say that i feel the difference between before (using vodoo sounds^^). Finally i think that audio beats is better...it's my opinion of course.
My vote goes to beats audio.
of course voodo sound, beats audios take no effect=.=
Well, manage to find working dsp manager.. my settings:
1) v20q rom+stock kernel
2) beats audio
3) dsp manager: bass boost moderate+rock eq
Results: Listening to Metallica, and surprisingly superb..
Wish Jason Newstead's bass sound a bit clearer..

Listen Metallica"s "fixxxer" or "the memory remains" for real deep bass. Jason newsted was a great bassist

According to supercurio, The Creator of voodoo, he said beats makes no diferrence, he measured it. Also I would really believe something really optimised to our phones, to our hardware.
Anyway, if beats do something(which I dont believe), it would be just some software enhancement like equalizer or anything faulting the clearness of the sound.
Just my opinion based on my logic.

I think its not which one is the best.. its about which is convenient to users. For me, the Beats Audio advantage is we dont need another app to configure it, as Voodoo we do need the app to activate it.
Just flash Beats Audio, install DSP Manager and find your settings. (To me, its simpler)..

[Q] Low volume with head phones

Hi, I own note 2, S4 and note 3. When using headphones with note 3, the volume is very low compared to my other devices. I am using original note 3 head phones. Anyone else with this issue?
Seems OK to me. Was Jamming out to some Hatebreed yesterday and it was loud enough
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
These phone manufactures really don't want you listening to loud music. I find this very annoying. Even the iPhone 5S doesn't go very loud.
Not sure about you guys but my UE Triple-Fi 10 and Monster Turbines are making me deaf (I'm using PlayerPro Music Player.)
I also feel that the max volume is low. Aux out to my car or boombox gets maxed out with ease - my atrix definitely gets louder.
Also there is always some minute feedback.
Hoping for a sound mod like for my Nexus 7

This is really worrisome. I have audio glitches where max and min volume get stepped down and is much quieter. Anyone have any apps or root methods to fix this.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using xda app-developers app
You can use Neutron Player. There is a preamp slider in the equalizer screen. If you enable the preamp and advance the slider, you will get additional volume albeit at the expense of fidelity. I , too am annoyed at the feeble volume. I am especially annoyed at the stupid warning screen at 75 percent volume which you have to press the ok button to advance to max volume

Root it and use xposed framework and wanam module to get rid of the warning. There is a thread that has the modded volume tweak file in Q&A I believe.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2498747
I was going through the original of the file that is modded and it looks like stock settings for most audio outputs are set between 60% and 80%. A lot of room to adjust.

anyone notice that if you get a notification while listening to music, the volume max is greatly reduced and does not return to normal? very irritating.

Recommended walkman settings for MH750 or MH1c on Lollipop

Can you guys post your equaliser settings in walkman on lollipop? Do you have dynamic normaliser and DSEE HX turned on? Also, which headphone profile do you prefer?
Sent from my D5833 using XDA Free mobile app
No one bothers to answer
Sent from my D5833 using XDA Free mobile app
I use MH750 headphones and also the profile. But the buggy headphone profile switching makes me unsure if it really is set for MH750 because it sounds different every time you change it.
Other than that, everything is off except dynamic stabilizer and equalizer is set to custom with +1 bass (leftmost slider), +1 treble (rightmost slider) and clearbass set to +3 or +4, depending on my mood and listening environment.
I appreciate your response man. The profile for MH1c pretty much sucks. It wasn't so on KitKat. On Kitkat i'd turn on dynamic normaliser, DSEE and select MH1c for amazing clarity. That doesn't seem to be the case on Lollipop
Sent from my D5833 using XDA Free mobile app
Try switching from some profile to MH750 back and forth. It's different every time. Maybe at some point it will suit you.
This sucks xD
Sent from my D5833 using XDA Free mobile app
Yeah it is very hard to setting up equalizer, it drive me crazy. To balancing it i need to loose some original good sound. I give up, and disable equalizer.
I think it is better to have a good earphone on the first place.
I quit testing with my Sennheiser (OMX 185) and just use Bass Boost: good sound!
