Diamond GSM Italian cook

I own a HTC Diamond bought in Italy.
I'm using this terminal both in Italy and in Mexico but here in Mexico the band for UMTS is 850 mhz. which is blocked in my Italian TRI BAND model.
I saw in this forum that it is possible to "open" the fourth band (850 mhz.) which is needed to run in UMTS instead of EDGE here in Mexico.
The question is if my terminal (European model) is suitable with this changes.
I don't want to risk bricking my phone.
Today I spoke with HTC europe to find some info but without results.
Any hint???
Thank you in advance.

[Q] newb firmware question

I'm in the US and want to buy an unlocked, international version of the I-9000, probably from Singapore, probably on AT&T.
Will Samsung release "generic," non-carrier specific ROMS? Or will that be all from the excellent developer community?
I'm hoping it would still do high-speed 3G because it covers some of AT&T's 3G bands???
Thanks!
Eh. You cant get a international version in usa. If you get one from singapore it will be international ver. It will have problems on at&t as they use 850/1900 mhz for 3g while international ver uses 900/2100mhz. Before you buy a device please make sure the 3G radio will work with your telco. If you are in usa then buy one from the telco you will be using as it will be set up right. But for rest of world we can get away with standard international gsm ver

[Q] Uber confused between dual sim variants, plz help to choose?

Hello Good Folks here at XDA,
I have been looking at dual sim variants of HTC ONE, and I am super confused about which one should I go for?
Here's the thing I want the 3G on 2100 band and normal GSM functionality anywhere around the world.
I mean, I don't know if the Chinese Dual sim variants work outside of China.
And I have to travel for months to Latin America and south east asia, can anyone help me guide to the right variant of Dual Sim that might suite my needs among HTC 802w, HTC 802d, HTC 802t, and the Japanese HTC J ONE (HTL22).
Also, is any of this going to be updated to 4.4 kitkat?
Thanks.

In India, the 802d is the local variant. It should definitely working in other South Asian and Latin American nations. The 802d in India has got the official Kitkat already. Sorry, I don't have as much info about the others. But IMO, 802d is ur best bet

HTC One M7 LTE support

I bought an M7 from eBay and im wondering about LTE support.
It said it was an AT&T version and on the back of the phone it says 801n, PN07100.
After searching google i found out that PN07100 is the european version, but it only support the LTE bands in USA, as long as its an AT&T, right?
Is it any way to get it to work on the 800, 1800 and 2600Mhz band??
Bump
