I am having problem installing Android 4.3 on my HTC Nexus One. I've already opened a thread for that and the guys there recommended me to ask you here.
This is the source thread - I will really appreciate any help that you can give. Spent all day trying to solve this without any luck. Thanks.
In the op of the 4.3 ROM you want to flash, there should be the partition size needed to work. Do you have the blackrose bootloader? If so, what is your partition sizes? If not, then this will need to be done first, just check developer forum here for download and instructions

I need some help!
My Nexus One hangs in the /!\ screen after my first attempt to install the CM7 RC1.
I flashed it using ROM Manager en followed the steps on the CM Wiki:

What can I do to make my Nexus One work again?
DO *NOT* POST QUESTIONS IN THIS FORUM - only tips/info/etc.
Sorry, I couldn't post in the development section because I'm not allowed to.
I will post it again in the Q&A.
That's the error page.
Put the ROM and Gapps on your SD card, boot into recovery and flash from there.
Do I need to unlock my bootloader too?
I'm reading different things about that.

Did you flash a custom recovery?
Yes I did!
I've been searching around and asked a friend for help!
I'm running CM7 now!
Thanks for your help!!

The /!\ screen is the stock recovery, so no, you didn't flash a custom recovery; or at least it didn't stick...

Read the Wiki, read the guide for installing custom ROMs, execute.
Glad you got it fixed bro!

So I wanted to root my htc one and install a custom rom on it and everything went wrong. I unlocked the bootloader, flashed twrp, installed superuser. I then tried to install android revolution hd 12.1. after installing it from sd card it said that my device was not rooted and it rebooted and now i am stuck on the bootloader screen. I cannot try and install the rom again due to all my data being wiped somehow and I have relocked the bootloader and tried to run the ruu to return to stock but it says I need the correct ruu i updated to 1.31. someone please help!!!
It is loading to the "htc quite brilliant" screen and it wont go no farther, I can still get into bootloader and recovery though
Sprint Htc One issues
I am having a very similar issue! I just want to be able to use my phone whether stock or rooted now. Help!!!!!!
If you can access the boot loader, unlock it again then use TWRP's sideload feature to flash the ROM. Or you can probably find. The correct RUU in the sprint one forum.

Once you guys get your phone's fixed, make sure to flash a sprint compatible Rom. Android revolution hd isn't compatible for our phones yet

Seriously. The number of people who've managed to put themselves in this situation is staggering. We may just want to have a PSA sticky that says not to flash that ROM.
OP, you should at the least put your phone into fastboot because an RUU will not run with the bootloader open, but I'm not sure if there's a new RUU available for the latest OTA.
Fortunately you are not bricked try out this tool it makes your recovery so much easier http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236814 with this you can flash a recovery and sideload a rom, you might have to also click the download HTC drivers as well. Make sure you sideload a SPRINT compatible Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2219. GL!
So find a Sprint Rom you like and download it, then from bootloader you can use this tool and sideload a rom and flash a recovery.
Ive got it to install a rom, i installed viperrom. After i did that and it boots up it says I have no service and the phone will reboot on its own. what do i do now?
You will likely have to RUU back to stock. The non Sprint Rom probable buggered the partitions or the baseband. Look in android development to find the RUU file you need. I don't think you can use the older one if you got the recent OTA.

Thats what I want to do go back to stock. Do you know where the ruu for 1.31 is?
I can't find it. I heard it was out there in a thread recently. Here is the older one though. That may work, I haven't tried though.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=
I haven't explored it myself, but I saw anecdotal posts stating that they were able to use the older RUU.

Ive tried the older one it wont work

what do you mean?
Might have to wait for the RUU file to drop then. Coming from Samsung devices for a long time, I'm used to being able to use Odin to go back to older factory firmware without issue. It's a bummer. Maybe someone more versed will have better info.

Does the Non-Sprint HTC One threads say "Sprint"? No.
Are the Sprint HTC One forums labeled "Sprint"? Yes.
Do nearly all the ROM threads in the non-Sprint forums say something along the line of "not for Sprint variant" including the revolution HD thread (all US carriers apart from Sprint)? Yes.
Just take a minute to read through the thread before flashing something. I mean, this is an expensive device where messing with system level files CAN ruin it (obviously) So, don't go jumping into stuff if you aren't going to take the time to understand it.

The thread I listed gives everything to get you back up and running,,the GSM Rom you flashed screwed up your partitions, file structure is different from our Sprint edition Ones,,that thread is in general section,

Thank you! I am going to try that now! i appreciate the help, I just want to be up and running again
I thought that fix is just to remove the 4.2.2 multi user sd card issue. I don't think that'll fix your baseband issue. Might be wrong though...

I rooted the phone and replaced the stock recovery a while ago. I keep getting these damn notifications to upgrade, I know it doesn work with a modified recover. It's beginning to annoy me.
What would be the easiest way to upgrade the HTC one?

Where can I find the prerooted stock roms?
I'm not quite ready for a custom ROM. I've been following the progress of a couple though. It always seems like there is never a final version to custom ROMS and usually a couple useful features are sometimes missing.

Same forum you find the custom ROMS in.
And even with stock ROMs there's never a final version, hence you wanting to update the device. Read, learn, get your feet wet.
Otherwise, just reflash stock recovery and let it update when there's an update.

Thanks, I've been to the deep end and back. Been lurking since thread one. You see I've been around a long time and don't post very often. I browsed through all 9 pages of the htc One android development threads but didn't find it. I did a couple of searches and didn't find it, I posted in the questions hoping to get links for reference and well because that what it is there for.
Edit: I looked again and found it. Thanks again for your help.

I ve read posts about flashing the new version using TWRP but i do not know how to do it as it is my first time rooting i tried searching everywhere but i have no idea what I am doing. If you have a custom recovery installed go into that recovery and flash SuperSU,superuser, ect
SuperSU
Go to playstore and download goo.im to flash the latest twrp then as stated above get supersu from there as well

You should just have to update your SuperSu through TWRP.

I'm a total noob when it comes to rooting, I don't understand any of it. So, here is my problem: I've got an LG 4X HD running Android JB 4.1.2, after I installed the official update a while ago. I'm tired of the newer official updates not coming to this device, si now I want to root it, put 4.4 KitKat on it and make the led notification work. So, if someone can guide me step by step through the rooting process, I would be really grateful. I have read all the posts regarding this device, so please don't give me links to other posts.
Thanks in advance!
You can't just root it and then put KK on it. If you have problems with rooting you will find it unbelievable difficult to unlock bootloader what you need to do in order to install a KitKat custom rom.
I would suggest you to whether read more and try it or just don't do it. If you don't understand how to root you LG 4X HD you will run into big problems

I have just managed to root it. Now I'm trying to unlock the bootloader, but when I'm in /cmd and enter "adb reboot oem-unlock", it says "error: device not found". Can you please help?
You need to install the right drivers (maybe manual).
But those questions been answered many times, please search XDA for the solution.
