Sure np
Same issue here. Even stock and I'm having just in general usb issues with my PC picking it up after an hour of messing with it switching ports, cables cleaning the lint and so on. To no avail one it's detected it goes away after a couple minutes.

If you installed the HTC drivers with HTC sync, did you then uninstall HTC sync, because that's actually the way it works best with the official drivers.
Have you tried the universal HTC drivers that are floating around these forums? They are pretty much absolutely necessary if you're on Windows 8.1, as the official HTC drivers don't work well with that, and they're pretty much great anyway even if Win8.1 isn't the problem.
Are you using USB 3.0? If you are, don't. Use USB 2.0 it actually works right. Make sure fast boot is turned OFF in the phone settings. Kind of counterintuitive, but fast boot, and fastboot mean two different things. Make sure USB debugging is turned ON on the phone.
Otherwise wait patiently and I bet BD619 will help you out over hangouts or PM when he's done helping the last guy.

Yes i tried both drivers. Uninstalled. Reinstalled. In on windows 8.1 i don't have fast boot checked. I knew that one lol. Just seems like it'll pick up once and a while then it's gone. Makes no sense to me.
Im chalking it up to crappy windows 8.1

What is your hboot? If it's 1.55 or 1.56 Win 8.1 works fine.
1.56 hboot. I'm using a laptop and on my pc it's doing the same thing with detecting the phone some times and not other times.

So i finished the port, but something is wrong with device specifics. Since the build isn't really functional, unless you are an app developer, I'm not going to invest more time into the port. Sorry guys, ill pick it up again when there is a more... useful build available to port.

I actually have a decently functioning d2att port. How to install if interested:
First make a backup
Then wipe data. You can dirty flash if you're already running cm10.1 but don't dirty flashes are a no-no.
Then flash this:
http://db.tt/p4FgJsnN
Then flash this:
http://db.tt/KoRbVtrT
But WiFi/cell service doesn't work at all yet so just understand that before you flash. Also the screen doesn't really shut off. Sort of a pain in the butt but still, its for developers haha.
Oh and also MAKE A BACKUP.
This actually isn't all my work, i just simply modified a few text files. Here is the original thread:

Me too. Its coming in the next few weeks. I'm surprised more developers haven't jumped on this already, but with the state Ubuntu touch is in, i guess it makes sense.

Its being worked on. No updates other then we have a solid unbrick method. If something comes out of it im sure the devs will post it, otherwise no sense getting hopes up

Agreed. We have root which is better than nothing. And that didn't take long at all. Faster than I had hopes for. So I'm sure it's being worked on very diligently, just gotta be patient. Plus with xposed you can still do some pretty good cool things.
Pretty sure you'd know about it. Lol.

Read around. From what I've read Designgears(the guy who gave us root) and chainfire(awesome Samsung dev) are both working for it. Whoever figures it out will make a nice paycheck off it.

Like a bonehead i posted this in the At-t forum,
Just curious if anyones tested rumrunner for s-off on the M8 yet. Reading through it, it says it should work for most Htc devices that are Qualcom based and the Sprint Htc One is listed as confirmed. Just wonderd if anyone has actually tried it yet.

Didn't work for me as my desperation to get my S - OFF (lol) led me to similar reasoning. I have one of the M8's that gets the Whelp message in firewater though so it may still work for others...

Let me know if it works out for ya =) I got through 8 bottle pours before failing so it did seem to try a bit hard than firewater, haha.
Like the title says, I've tried everything I can think of and ran firewater and rumrunner more times than I can count but just cant get it to work. Can anyone help me or am I just S.O.L? Why do some m8's let you s-off but not others? I'm on 1.54.651.8
No-one can help buddy sorry! It's just a waiting game to get it working...Patience is the best thing for you now!
