So I've decided that I would like to return my Nook since I have issues with it no matter the ROM. Does anyone know a thread that explains how to go back to stock?
P.s. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Go to my HD/HD+ CWM thread linked in my signature and look at item 6. Download and flash plain stock 2.1.0 and do a factory reset.

Hi there,
I have my Nook HD+, took it to a store to put in CM10.1 but instead they put in carbon-jb-unofficial-20131020-1819. It's lags to much. So I will like to get back to stock and try and put CM10.1 myself. How can I go back to stock?
Thanks...

You don't have to go back to stock to get CM10.1 on. Just follow the dummies guide for installing CM10.1. You can put it on directly over carbon.

I see that CM 11 nightly is available for the Nook HD and was wondering what the best way would be to go with 11 from CM 10.2, also do I need to upgrade the Google Apps? I am sure I do, but where can I find it at?
I will be doing a backup in case I need to revert back to 10.2 for sure
Thanks for any help you can provide me in making the change.

You need to need to go to verygreen's CM11 thread for instructions. The old CWM versions will not work. Look in the dev forum.

hi,
i'm stuck with updating my nook hd+ to kitkat.
i seem to have lost the backup rom (i think i formatted the micro-sd that it was on by mistake).
i do not seem to be able to update to any rom as i get an error saying...
E: Can't open / external_sd/cm-11-20140606-nightly-ovation (1).zip
(bad)
installation aborted
it says this with all the roms i tried.
i did get the same problem with my S3 until i found the fusion rom, which worked ok.
ps i am on recovery v6.0.4.5
thanks in advance.

Try downloading the ROM zip directly to the nook rather than your PC. Sometimes the PC antivirus will corrupt the zip.

You did not say earlier you could only boot to recovery. You need to go to my HD/HD+ CWM thread linked in my signature and make a new CWM bootable SD per item 1a and flash the plain stock ROM per item 6. That will get you back to like it came out of the box and you can start over.

Thanks you're a life saver.
Any idea why it won't take an roms ?

The file that has the word BOOTFILES in the name and is for your device (HD or HD+).

I am sure this is answered a hundred times but I cant find one. What procedure do I use to make a kit kat rom that will dual boot on a Nook HD+. I dont want to root the emmc just be able to insert a SD and have a chioce of nook or KitKat.
Thanks
Yes you can do that. Go to verygreen's CM11 emmc thread and if you read through the first post you will see he has included a version that will run off SD. See here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2600572
Bokbokan also has a version here:
